It's not something uncommon that plays a central role in your life or a truly interesting and unique event. As a mod, you should know what that entails.

Being "reddit famous" isn't a valid topic as outlined by our rules. If that were the case, we'd have plenty of "I was in X post on the front page, AMA!" posts. We've removed posts before of people who were the subject of adviceanimals. Those people are also Reddit famous, but that wasn't considered acceptable under the rules.
Please delete the IAmA.

Right. He's not "Reddit famous". I don't think I_Rape_Cats would be appropriate either. Nor would an IAmA from me. We're unknown outside of Reddit. The point of /r/IAmA is to get the outsider perspective.

The point of /r/IAmA is to get the outsider perspective.
No it fucking isn't.
It is to get people that have a certain interesting thing about them or are interesting themselves (celebs) in a forum so that people can ask them anything.
You are severely detached from the iama community if you think otherwise.
I think you should take a step back and rethink your position as moderator.
I think you would be doing the community a service by stepping down.
I'm not alone in this.
