  1. Roxy explored the meteor, trying to find her ecto mother/daughter. She'd so looked forward to this meeting for ages, years even. And from every comment and word she'd heard from Rose's friends so had she. Her darling little ectoson Dave had told her of the constant proclamations of admiration and love Rose had said of her and Roxy felt her eagerness rise in intensity at every word. Whats more, every details he and her other friends had said of her only drove her desire to greater heights. Rose sounded like such a lovely person and Roxy wanted nay needed to meet her and from the sound of things so did she.

  3. So why didn’t she? Why was she absent from their destined reunion if she had looked forward to it so much? Roxy couldn’t think of a justified reason for her absence and set off to find her, wishing everyone else well as she ran off into the depths of the meteor. Using her powers of the void she was quickly able to know where Rose was and sprinted off, eager to finally at long last meet her. She entered what looked to be a mixture between a small laboratory and a bar, it reeked of the acrid stench of booze and Roxy momentarily had to cover her nose not to gage. Littering the floor was various flasks she would expect to see in a chemistry set along with an assortment empty booze bottles. She scanned the dimly lit room for any sign of Rose only to find her sitting upon a bar stool, swaying gently side to side, a martini glass in one hand and a wine bottle in the other.

  5. She was dressed in a bright orange seer outfit; the very same one Roxy had seen her in when she had met Calliope face to face for the first time. As Roxy slowly approached her she could hear small quiet sobs coming from Rose, joined by the occasional hiccup. Rose tossed back her glass, finishing the rest of her drink only to immediately pour herself another. She then took notice of Roxy, nearly falling out of her seat as she turned to her. “Go away.” She muttered drunkenly, returning to her drinking. Roxy sat next to her, “Why? I thought you were looking forward to meeting me?” Rose took another sip, “I dontsh wants you too sche me like dis. Imma mess.” Roxy fiddled with her hands a bit, eyeing all the bottles around her before responding. “Heh. You look like it.” Rose looked slightly hurt by her comment and took another swig, this time greater than her previous ones. Roxy tried to salvage the situation, stammering slightly as she awkwardly responded. “No-not that theres anything wrong with that. I mean I’ve had those moments myself and I know where you’re coming from. What with being drunk and miserable and all that… Stuff.”

  7. Rose turn to her, a look of interest in her face. “R-really? I mean I kinda fhiggerd yous dranks sinces your based ons mah mom and shes was always drinkin but I sorta kinda exspected that yous have your stuff all together what withs not haven to raise a lottle trouble maker like me.” Roxy was silent for a moment, recollecting her own countless experiences on the bottle. How many times had she been out of it, or done something stupid like relentlessly confessing her love to Dirk despite knowing his orientation. “Rose hon, trust me, I never had my shit in order. I was just some dumb stupid kid trying to make herself feel less like shit. Trust me I did allll kinds of dumb shit when I was hammered.” She placed a hand on Rose’s back, and rested her head against her. “So trust me. There ain’t nothing you could do to make me think less of you. I’ll always love you Rose, no matter what.” Rose began to sniffle a little, trying desperately to clean her runny nose. Soon her sniffles turned to crying, which turned to full blown sobbing. Roxy held her tightly, closing her other arm around Rose to hug her.

  9. Rose was trembling now, tears pouring down her face while she went limp. Between sobs she was muttering something incoherent to Roxy. Roxy began to gently stroke Rose’s head, patting her back gently and whispering words of encouragement to her. Telling her it would be alright and for her to let it all out. Her arm was covered in snot and tears but she didn’t care. After a while Rose’s ruminations finally began to subside and with one last sniffle she began to still. Roxy spoke up once she figured Rose had gotten the last of her built up emotions out. “Feeling better hon?” Wordlessly Rose nodded, giggling a bit. “Good.” Roxy reached for the glass, dumping the alcohol before grabbing the bottle from Rose’s grip.

  11. “I miss her.” Rose said. “I wass a terrible daughters and mades my mom nuts with my stuspid teen bullshit. I wanted to tell her ims sorry and that’s she was a great mom and I never gots the chance.” She looked to Roxy, “Ands I was kinda hoppen that I could maybe starts again with you. Mom.” A warm smile grew on Roxy’s face and she hugged Rose. “Well then, lets start again. Mom.” “Your arms is sticky as shit.” Rose interjected. Roxy pulled away from Rose and with great eagerness began to speak. “Tell me Mom…” She leaned in towards Rose a beaming smile on her face now. “Do you like…. Wizards?” Rose immediately brightened up, grasping her hands together in excitement. It was in that moment that Roxy knew beyond a shadow of a doubt now, she’d found her mother. And her mother had found her.
