  48. Hi everyone! This is my first ever Gamefaqs' guide and I couldn't be happier
  49. to contribute something to one of my favorite and most-frequented websites.
  50. Corpse Party is a very strict game when it comes to getting those good endings
  51. and I thought a guide that held the player's hand the whole way through would
  52. help some people.

  61. * SAVE OFTEN. This game requires you to make a very specific set of choices
  62. in order to see the best endings. Saving at every candle ensures that you can
  63. go back in case you mess up
  64.  
  65. * If following my Good Ending Walkthrough, DON'T DO ANYTHING I DON'T TELL YOU
  66. TO. There are some places that lead to Wrong Ends and talking to certain
  67. things or reading certain notes can also kill you. I lay out the exact path to
  68. take you from beginning to end; just follow it word-for-word.

  75. This walkthrough will take you through each of the game's five main chapters
  76. and allow you to see the best endings for each, the ones that progress the
  77. story forward. I skip any and all tags and extra notes; this just follows the
  78. main path. This guide contains no spoilers except when necessary to
  79. describe what to do.

  83. * Chapter 1: *
  84. **************

  86. When the Chapter 1 opening finishes, go north as far as you can to see someone
  87. on the other end of the room. Go back down and east to leave the room. Walk
  88. north for a short scene and continue on into the other open doorway. Approach
  89. the person on the floor to progress.
  90.  
  91. After you are done with the Character Introductions, you will find yourself
  92. controlling Naomi and Seiko in Classroom 1-A. Leave the room through the
  93. nearby doorway and you will be in a hallway. Head south to the only other
  94. doorway (both the north and south paths are blocked by gaps at this time).
  95.  
  96. You are now back inside Classroom 1-A but on the south side. Head directly
  97. west from the door and you will see a [Loose Board] next to the wall (the
  98. square board that stands out from the rest of the room). Press X when next to
  99. it to pick it up and add it to your inventory. Leave the room through the same
  100. door you entered.
  101.  
  102. Back in the hallway, head to the nearby gap and press X when facing it. You
  103. will be asked to use the board to bridge the gap. Do it and cross, heading
  104. down to a stairwell.
  105.  
  106. There is a candle here. These are the save points of the game and it is a
  107. good idea to save at each of them. When you are finished, head down the other
  108. stairs to the west hall of the first floor.
  109.  
  110. Head east until another large gap and follow the turn south. At the bottom,
  111. you will find a door. Pressing X on it reveals that it is shut tight. Walk
  112. back to the staircase (north and then west) and go back up to the second floor.
  113.  
  114. As you cross back over the Loose Board, the screen begins to shake. The gap is
  115. now too large to cross with the board so you can pick it back up. Go north to
  116. the other gap and use the board on it to cross. Straight up is another
  117. staircase with a short scene but the third floor is blocked. Head back out of
  118. the stairwell and into the open classroom door.
  119.  
  120. Walk north and watch the scene. Examine the bone pile afterwards for a bit of
  121. story explanation. When given a dialogue choice, either option works but offer
  122. slightly different dialogue. You will be forced out of the classroom at the
  123. end. Just go back inside when you get control.
  124.  
  125. A candle is now present. Save but don't go through the new door yet. Instead,
  126. go back out the southern door and back over to the stairway just to the west.
  127. In the stairwell now is a new blue spirit. Talk to him and he will drop an
  128. [Unknown Key] for you. This key is very important to avoiding a bad ending in
  129. this chapter so don't miss it. Leave the stairs and head back into the
  130. classroom and out the other doorway.
  131.  
  132. Head east. Note the first closed doorway to Classroom 3-A. Use your new
  133. Unknown Key to open the door. You are given a choice whether or not to enter:
  134. choose to do so.
  135.  
  136. Inside, you can see a body nearby. Inspecting the body gives you the message
  137. 'Whatever you do, don't look at the newspaper.' Naomi also gets really nervous
  138. about this. Ignore her and look at the paper to the south anyways. The door
  139. slams shut and the characters begin to panic.
  140.  
  141. Don't worry; this is supposed to happen. Getting the door to open again can
  142. be tricky but it shouldn't take too long. Make sure to check the door, the
  143. top-left corner, the body, the newspaper, the bottom-right corner, and the body
  144. again. Approach the middle of the room to trigger a scene. If it doesn't
  145. happen at first, just keep doing these things. After this scene, approaching
  146. the door should cause it to open. If not, just keep doing those things until
  147. it does. The game won't trap you in there.
  148.  
  149. Once out of Classroom 3-A, continue on to find another fork. The north path has
  150. another gap so go south instead. Pass both closed doors and pick up another
  151. [Loose Board] near the south exit. Leave through the south exit.
  152.  
  153. Another stairway. Head down to the east hall of the first floor. Walk to the
  154. west and follow the turn north. You will see a little blue spirit along the
  155. way; he has a helpful tip for you. Continue north to another fork. Go east
  156. to the second open classroom door and enter.
  157.  
  158. Head south towards the gap and you will notice a purpleish light on the other
  159. side of the room. Go out into the hallway and into the other door. Huh, the
  160. light has moved. Remember where that light is and leave. A new spirit has
  161. appeared. He gives you a hint on how to get that item.
  162.  
  163. When back inside, press X on the spot you think the light was to leave Seiko
  164. there. Go back to the other side of the room and approach the light. If you
  165. were close enough, Seiko will grab the [Infirmary Key] when it moves. If you
  166. were off, just try again.
  167.  
  168. When you get the key, leave the classroom. Head back west to the fork and
  169. follow the path south and then east to return to the stairway. Go back up to
  170. the second floor.
  171.  
  172. Now, the first closed door to your right is the Infirmary but we don't need to
  173. go in there yet. Instead, keep going north up to that gap we passed earlier
  174. and use your Loose Board to cross it. Take the stairway up to the third floor.
  175.  
  176. The first door to the west is the Boys' Lavatory but you don't have to go in
  177. there. Just go in the second door, which is the Girls' Lavatory. Check the
  178. second stall from the left to find that it is locked. Leave the bathroom and
  179. try to head back to the stairs.
  180.  
  181. After Seiko heads back to the bathroom, try to enter the stairwell. You will
  182. be stopped by a short scene. Go through the doorway afterwards and try to head
  183. down the stairs. Naomi won't let you leave. Go back up and head into the
  184. girls bathroom. Seiko will rejoin you after you enter and you can now go
  185. back down the stairs.
  186.  
  187. As you head down the stairs, you will see a scene. Now we can go use that
  188. Infirmary Key. Back downstairs, cross over the gap and head all the way
  189. south again to the Infirmary door (closed door closest to the southern stairs).
  190. Use the key to open the door and enter.
  191.  
  192. There is a candle in the lower right corner. Saving your game before doing
  193. anything else is the best idea. Afterwards, inspect the stool-looking thing
  194. nearby to find a [Box of Matches]. Head over to the beds to trigger a long
  195. scene.
  196.  
  197. When you have control again, try to leave. The door is locked. Head towards
  198. the top-right corner for a few scenes. Try the door again. Step away from
  199. it again to trigger another event. Approach the desk to be knocked away from
  200. it. Step towards the door again to see a red shadow appear.
  201.  
  202. This thing WILL kill you if it touches you. You can be touched a few times
  203. but too many will result in a Wrong End. Avoid the shadow and go back to the
  204. door. Try to burn the hair from the door with a match. It doesn't work. Now,
  205. go to the top right corner of the room and inspect the white cabinet to find
  206. [Rubbing Alcohol]. Return to the door while avoiding the shadow and use the
  207. matches and alcohol to leave.
  208.  
  209. Seiko returns for a scene after you escape. When given a dialogue choice,
  210. either one works; it just changes little things in the scene to come. When
  211. you get control again, go west and follow the turn north. Choose to follow the
  212. voice when given the option.
  213.  
  214. You will now find yourself in the bathroom hallway. Head into the Girls'
  215. Lavatory (second door to the west) and check the second stall from the left.
  216. Leave the room and pick up the nearby [Filthy Bucket]. Go back inside and try
  217. using the item on the stall.
  218.  
  219. Watch the rest of the events of the chapter play out. You may think you did
  220. something wrong but this is how things are supposed to go. If you followed
  221. this guide to the letter, you did it right.
  222.

  224. **************
  225. * Chapter 2: *
  226. **************
  227.  
  228. Head south first, going over the gap and past the first open door. Take the
  229. other door set in the west wall to find yourself in the southern half of that
  230. classroom. Move west to find a glowing object on the ground, a [Power Stone].
  231. Upon trying to leave, a short scene occurs with a choice. Make sure to choose
  232. 'Give it to Shinozaki' in order to ensure your good ending. Leave when done.
  233.  
  234. Head north and across the already-covered gap. Walk straight up and into the
  235. stairwell. You will find [Classroom 3-A Key] on the ground. Take it and go
  236. back out into the hallway, heading east past the first set of doors. Instead,
  237. open the door next to the pit with your new key.
  238.  
  239. Moving up inside the classroom will trigger a scene. Afterwards, try to leave
  240. via the north doorway for another. When given a dialogue choice, either option
  241. works, with slightly different changes in the scene.
  242.  
  243. NOTE: If you see at any point a message about the crystal in your inventory
  244. shattering, you need to reload your last save in order to get the best ending.
  245. I will note the places where this might happen further on.
  246.  
  247. When you regain control, leave the classroom and head south. You can try to
  248. return to the classroom where those events just took place but the door has
  249. mysteriously vanished. Heading south leads you to a stairwell. After a brief
  250. scene, there will be a new candle. Make sure to save and continue down.
  251.  
  252. Walk to the east and then go north when you reach the four-way fork (the east
  253. path is closed for now). You will see four bodies on the way. Continue past
  254. them and to another fork. Go west and enter the open classroom.
  255.  
  256. Head west to see a little blue boy ghost. Walking near him is safe but make
  257. sure NOT to ever look directly at him (eye-to-eye). Doing so will shatter your
  258. crystal and require a reload for the good ending. Move to the lower left
  259. corner to pick up the [Nail Puller]. Leave the room.
  260.  
  261. Go back east to the fork and head south. After Ayumi runs off, make sure to
  262. follow her south through the fork to the open door to the entryway. Approach
  263. Ayumi for a short scene and then talk to her an additional time to add her to
  264. your party again. Leave the room but be on your guard.
  265.  
  266. Be very careful when leaving the room as the boy ghost has followed you.
  267. Returning to the entryway will spawn him further away the next time you exit
  268. and is the easiest way to avoid him. Go back up to the four-way and head west
  269. back to the stairwell. I would advise waiting a moment on saving.
  270.  
  271. Cross the gap and enter the second doorway to the left to find the classroom
  272. you started out in again. Go to the top-left corner to find a doorway. Use
  273. the Nail Puller to open it and go inside. Use the lever in the top-left
  274. corner to see a scene. Now we can go back to the ghost boy room and use that
  275. lever. Leave the classroom and head south back down the stairs, now saving.
  276.  
  277. Continue to avoid the ghost. Use the wider open areas (like the area right
  278. outside the stairs) to get around him more easily. One touch doesn't kill you
  279. but it ruins the crystal you need for the best ending. Two touches results in
  280. a Wrong End of its own. Maneuver around him back to the four-way and go north
  281. to the next fork. Continue west and enter the long, narrow classroom again.
  282.  
  283. Head to the other end. Use the lever in the corner to finally make a way to
  284. cross the east part of that four-way fork. Trying to leave shows that the
  285. ghost has followed you into the room. This is probably the hardest place to
  286. avoid him but it is possible. Use the biggest area to have the most success.
  287.  
  288. Leave the classroom and head east and then south to get back to the new path.
  289. The ghost is still following you so be speedy about it. Cross the gap and head
  290. into the only doorway over here, a staircase. You are now safe from the ghost.
  291. Climb up to a new part of the second floor, which probably looks familiar.
  292.  
  293. Heading north will have Ayumi put down another candle. Feel free to use it.
  294. Go past the open infirmary door and head up the corridor. At the fork, go
  295. north over the gap and into the stairwell, as the path west is broken.
  296.  
  297. Here we are at the bathrooms again. Entering the Boys' Lavatory and examining
  298. the westmost stall triggers a scene but isn't necessary to progress. Enter the
  299. Girls' Lavatory (the western door) triggers a scene. Move in farther to
  300. continue the scene when it stops. You will automatically leave the bathroom.
  301.  
  302. Approach Ayumi and talk to her. When given a dialogue choice, it again doesn't
  303. matter what you choose. When you regain control, do not go down the stairs.
  304. walk past Ayumi and into the Girls' Lavatory again. Inspect the black stain
  305. from before and the second stall from the left before leaving again.
  306.  
  307. After a long scene, Ayumi will be back in your party. Go back downstairs and
  308. head south. Follow the ghost into the infirmary for a scene. Trying to
  309. approach doesn't do any good so simply leave the infirmary afterwards. You'll
  310. be treated to another lengthy scene. Heading back up the stairs for a moment
  311. to save is probably a good idea. Once done, head back down.
  312.  
  313.  
  314. The ghost is still here and should still be avoided. Head west across the gap
  315. and continue west past the four-way. Go up the stairs and head directly north
  316. to another set of stairs. A [Antique Doll (Head)] can be found here now. Take
  317. it and head back down these stairs, all the way south, and down the second set
  318. of stairs.
  319.  
  320. Last time you have to avoid the ghost, promise. Make your way east to the
  321. four-way fork and go north to the next fork. Take this one all the way east
  322. and you will find the [Antique Doll (Body)]. The game automatically combines
  323. the two into the [Pentient Spirit].
  324.  
  325. The ghost may or may not be around when you return first west and then south to
  326. the four-way fork. Go back east over the gap and up the stairs to the second
  327. floor. Head inside the Infirmary again for a scene. Go north when you get
  328. control for the final scenes of the chapter. Again, this may seem wrong but
  329. this is what is supposed to happen.

  333. * Chapter 3: *
  334. **************

  336. After the opening scenes, head out of the now very familiar clasroom. Head
  337. south and enter the other entrance to Classroom 1-A. Leave immediately and
  338. head back to the north. Continue on after a short scene and enter the only
  339. other available door.
  340.  
  341. Go up when inside for a scene and the first candle of the chapter. Save if you
  342. wish (you may want to wait until the return trip through in a minute) and leave
  343. through the northern door. Head east out in the hallway and make sure to read
  344. the Victim's Memoirs near the gap. Go back west and through the classroom
  345. again.
  346.  
  347. A scene will play. Dialogue choice again doesn't matter. Go back south after
  348. and head in the first western doorway to Classroom 1-A. Move south enough to
  349. see another board like the ones from the first chapter.
  350.  
  351. This part is similar to the part with the Infirmary Key from the chapter. Note
  352. the board's location and go into the other classroom entrance. Your characters
  353. will realize what is going on. You can now push X on one side's board
  354. location and go into the other side to automatically collect the [Loose Board].
  355.  
  356. A scene will occur out in the hallway. Feel free to take Yuka's [Scented
  357. Beads] when she offers them to you. Go south when you have control and use the
  358. board to cross the gap to the stairs. Go down to the first floor.
  359.  
  360. Walk east to the four-way fork and head south first. Enter the entryway and
  361. walk down to the bottom of the room. Read the Victim's Memoirs 2/5 to make an
  362. event happen later on. Leave the entryway.
  363.  
  364. The north path of the four-way is blocked for now so instead walk to the east.
  365. The ghost will stop you a couple of times but he isn't aggressive anymore.
  366. Just don't look into his eyes. Take the only doorway, a set of stairs, when
  367. you get to them.
  368.  
  369. Go north past the two closed doorways and continue north when the path branches
  370. (west is blocked). On the stairwell you can find another [Unknown Key].
  371. Continue up to be back in the bathroom hallway yet again. Go west a little
  372. ways for another scene.
  373.  
  374. Follow Yuka when you get control, pause for a short bit of dialogue, and head
  375. into the Girls' Lavatory. Go west a short distance to see for yourself and
  376. leave. Walk back east and down the stairs to the second floor.
  377.  
  378. Go south and past the first closed door. Use the key we just got to unlock the
  379. Infirmary and go inside. There is another candle inside but you might as well
  380. wait a second to save. Go to the beds in the corner for a few scenes. Pick
  381. whatever choice you want when prompted. A newspaper appears by the candle.
  382. Read it and now save before leaving the Infirmary.
  383.  
  384. After the scene, grab the nearby [Nail Puller] and head back north, all the way
  385. back to the stairs and up them. You can use your new item to open the Boys'
  386. Lavatory. Go inside to see this isn't an option either. Leave the restroom
  387. and head back downstairs.
  388.  
  389. You will be stopped shortly. Continue downwards to find out what the sound
  390. was. When finished, go south past the Infirmary and back down the other set of
  391. stairs. You may have noticed that the right wall here seems a bit farther out
  392. now. We will get there in a moment but let's head west back through the
  393. four-way first.
  394.  
  395. When back up the stairs to the west hall on the second floor, go back in the
  396. northern entrance to Classroom 1-A (second door to the west). Approach the
  397. small cabinet in the top-left corner and use the nail puller on its front to
  398. break the glass and get a [Tiny Key]. Leave the classroom and go back down the
  399. stairs to the south.
  400.  
  401. Now we can check out that new hallway. Walk east through the four-way fork and
  402. past the stairwell entrance. The key we just went back to Classroom 1-A for
  403. will open the door on the east wall. Do so and head outside to a walkway to
  404. another wing of the school. Cross over and enter the other building when you
  405. can.
  406.  
  407. You will find a candle here slightly to the south. Save and go west through
  408. the doorway. Enter the doorway to the north to find yet another destroyed
  409. bathroom. Leave and go west to a new staircase. Go up to the second floor and
  410. enter the open doorway on the east wall.
  411.  
  412. Go east through two rooms. Continue east in the third to find a north/south
  413. fork. The north path is closed for now (the green slime will actually drain
  414. your health - one of the couple things that does in the whole game). Instead,
  415. go south to the first doorway on the east wall and enter.
  416.  
  417. Head east in the Cursed Art Room for a short scene. Try talking to the girl
  418. in the top-right corner before leaving the room the way you came. Go north to
  419. see another girl. Follow her to the west and into another room. Try talking
  420. to her and she runs off again. Follow her again.
  421.  
  422. Go through the next room, since she isn't here anymore. When you reach the
  423. stairs, you get a short scene. Go back east into the hallway to find that the
  424. blocked door here is now accessible. Try to open it for another scene. Back
  425. to the stairs and head back down to the first floor.
  426.  
  427. Walk straight through the first room and back to the entryway. Make sure to
  428. save before going back out the northern entrance. Walk west halfway across the
  429. walkway for a scene.
  430.  
  431. Be ready to run the second you get control. Go east and back inside for a
  432. scene. Go through the west door and through the room to the stairs. Back up
  433. to the second floor. Head through the first room and into the second for more
  434. events.
  435.  
  436. Be ready to run when you get control, as you don't have much room to work with
  437. at first. Go back west through both rooms to the stairs and down to the first
  438. floor. Continue through the first room (avoid the bathroom door to the north)
  439. and go back to the entranceway. Move to the candle and then try to go back
  440. through the western door for a scene.
  441.  
  442. Feel free to save again if you like. Go back west, through the room, and up
  443. the stairs to the second floor. Your pursuer is gone. Go east through two
  444. rooms and back to the hallway with the north/south fork. Head south and into
  445. the art room on the right. Inspect the note in the middle of the room and
  446. leave. Keep going south. Ignore the other open doorway and go west down here
  447. to find another stairwell.
  448.  
  449. Only one place to go here - back down to the first floor. Go east and you will
  450. see a door lock. Walk north a bit away from the door and it will unlock again.
  451. Go inside and over to the fallen cabinet in the middle-right part of the room.
  452. Your new character is strong enough to lift it. This gives you access to the
  453. desk that is in the third row and farthest to the right. Examine it for a pair
  454. of [Blessed Shoes]. Now we can cross that goo! Leave the room.
  455.  
  456. Take the nearby staircase to the west for the fastest path back. When you are
  457. upstairs, go east and north. Walk past the fork to the green goo and simply
  458. walk across it, now safe from harm. On the other side is a [Crystal of
  459. Unsealing] and another scene.
  460.  
  461. When it's over, go south back to the fork and west into another room. Go
  462. through this room and into the next. Approach the door to the north to open it
  463. up with your new crystal. Inspect it and a long scene will play.
  464.  
  465. When you get control again, head south and around the desks to the sparkling
  466. object. It is a [Mini-DV Tape], the contents of which you will discover in the
  467. next chapter. Head east and inspect the lengthy note in the lower-corner. Go
  468. back north and inspect the doorway to start the ending scenes of Chapter 3.

  470.

  472. * Chapter 4: *
  473. **************
  474.  
  475. You will find yourself in the Infirmary hallway when you get control. Head
  476. north to be stopped for a few seconds. Continue north and be stopped briefly
  477. again. Follow the voice's instructions and head north into the stairwell.
  478.  
  479. After the short scene, pick up [Naomi's Cell Phone]. Head all the way up to
  480. the bathroom hallway yet again. Pass the Boys' Lavatory and into the Girls'
  481. Lavatory. You will be repeatedly stopped as you move forward inside; just
  482. keep going until you reach the third stall. Try to leave for another scene.
  483. Walk back to the third stall and interact with it.
  484.  
  485. Make sure to choose 'Kick in the door', 'Try to hold her up', 'Hoist her up on
  486. shoulders', and 'Reach behind to unfasten' to prevent a Wrong End. The next
  487. dialogue choice doesn't matter again. After the scenes, you will be in the
  488. Infirmary. Save at the candle and exit.
  489.  
  490. Go south and down the stairs to the first floor. Walk slightly east to find
  491. that the pathway to the second wing is now closed again. You will get a few
  492. scenes too. When you take control of another character, just leave the room
  493. to trigger the next few scenes.
  494.  
  495. You are now in control of yet another character. Head west to the first open
  496. doorway on the south wall and take it to a staircase. Go upstairs and in the
  497. first door on the right wall into the Infirmary. Pick up the [Pentient Spirit]
  498. from Chapter 2 nearby. Go east for a candle with a brief scene first.
  499.  
  500. Go up to the beds and a scene will play. Just leave the room without getting
  501. too close to the ghost. Walk back south and down the stairs to the first
  502. floor. You will get a scene when you get there.
  503.  
  504. Head west, through the four-way fork, and to the other set of stairs. Go up,
  505. saving again if you wish. Go north past the doors on the left side and you
  506. will encounter a short scene near the top. When done, go into the classroom
  507. door on the right.
  508.  
  509. Go up for a long scene before you regain control. At the top of the room is
  510. another candle where you can save, or you can wait when you pass the one on

  512. south, past all the open doorways and into the southern stairwell.

  514. When back on the first floor, you get a brief hint where to go. Just head back
  515. east to the four-way fork and then take the path north to another fork. Go
  516. east here until you see the red door. This is where you can use the doll's
  517. hint to find the item you need - or I can just tell you where to get it.
  518.  
  519. Go slightly west and examine the wall opposite the set of four windows. The
  520. spot you need is almost at the west corner of this wall. Just hit X a bunch
  521. while facing this wall in different spots to find it. You will get [Ryou's
  522. Tongue] after a scene.
  523.  
  524. Head back west and then south at the fork. Go east at the four-way and take
  525. the stairwell on the south wall up to the second floor. Go into the nearby
  526. Infirmary and walk over to the ghost. You can now look him directly in the
  527. eyes to trigger a scene. Make sure to show him the tongue when given the
  528. option.
  529.  
  530. Character switch again. Go west for a brief scene. Continue west, following
  531. the turn north and walking to a fork. Take the east path all the way to the
  532. end to see a sparkling object. It ends up being [Seiko's Cell Phone] and
  533. triggers a short scene.
  534.  
  535. Go back the way you came (west, south, follow the turn east) and take the
  536. staircase up to the Infirmary hallway. Go north for a scene. Afterwards, go
  537. back downstairs and back the way you just came (west, follow the turn north,
  538. and east) but this time go inside the classroom through either of the open
  539. doors.
  540.  
  541. Now, with two people, we can get this jumping item. Note the position of the
  542. sparkle when on one side and go to the other side, pressing X where you think
  543. it was. Go to the other side again and, if you were correct, you will get a
  544. [Custodian's Key]. A scene plays and you're back in the hallway.
  545.  
  546. Go east and use the key to open the red door set in the north wall. A scene
  547. will occur and then you get control back. Inspect the television for another
  548. scene. When the note appears, inspect it for the final scene and another
  549. character change.
  550.  
  551. Back in the Infirmary. You should probably save before leaving. Exit and head
  552. south back to the first floor. Go west to the four-way and then south to the
  553. entryway. Upon entering, you get another scene. More instructions. This time
  554. we need to go back north to the four-way and west this time, into the stairway.
  555.  
  556. Go upstairs and approach the gap. Inspect the area right before the board
  557. covering the gap to find a [Winder]. Take this into the nearby classroom
  558. (through the top door) and go into the smaller room at the top-left. Examine
  559. the lever in the top-left corner of this room to use the Winder. When asked if
  560. you should force it, say yes.
  561.  
  562. This opens a new passageway back on the first floor. Let's go there now.
  563. Leave the smaller room and Classroom 1-A and go back south and down the stairs.
  564. Saving is a good idea right now. The new path is just to the left here.
  565.  
  566. Walk to the other end and leave through the other door. Start walking around
  567. the pool for a scene. Continue around the pool pathway to the other end to
  568. check a locked door to the Pump Room. Head back to see a new sparkle. Inspect
  569. it to pick up the [Pump Room Key].
  570.  
  571. A scene will now occur. Pay very close attention to the ripple in the pool
  572. when you are shown, as it doesn't show it for very long. Also note that this
  573. timer never pauses, not on the menu or during the scenes. Make sure to hurry.
  574. Go back around the pool quickly and re-enter the Locker Room. Walk towards the
  575. east side of the room to trigger a scene. Afterwards, head out to the pool
  576. again.
  577.  
  578. Climb into the pool via the ladder at the top-left corner and pick the spot
  579. where you think the ripple was. Your time will keep ticking if you pick wrong
  580. so don't mess up too many times. When you get it right, you will see another
  581. couple of scenes.
  582.  
  583. Back in control, head back around the pool and into the Pump Room with your new
  584. key. In the top-right corner is a drainage valve you should use. Go back out
  585. to find the pool empty...mostly. Climb down the nearby ladder and go to the
  586. middle grate, inspecting the open part to find a [Rusted Valve Wheel]. Take it
  587. back into the Pump Room.
  588.  
  589. Take it straight ahead to a very hard-to-see black spot on the middle machine
  590. and use the wheel on it. Go back out and into the pool again, this time to the
  591. top-right corner. You will find [Tokiko's Tongue]. Climb out of the pool in
  592. any way and head back into the locker room and out into the main hall again.
  593.  
  594. Go east (with a quick stop in the stairway to save if you like). At the fork,
  595. go north a bit to meet two ghosts. MAKE SURE to give the tongue to the
  596. headless one, not the other. Avoid the other ghost after the scene and head
  597. back to the four-way, going east this time. Take the stairwell to the south.
  598.  
  599. More directions again. You probably know how to get to this one but it isn't
  600. necessary. A long scene will play out and you will receive [Yuki's Tongue] as
  601. a result. Go back downstairs, then west and north to find the other ghost
  602. again. Give her the tongue to trigger another long scene.
  603.  
  604. You get control briefly again. Head over to Ayumi and talk to her, then talk
  605. to her again. Try to leave. You will trigger a very lengthy set of scenes
  606. that will finish the chapter.
  607.  
  608.

  610. * Chapter 5: *

  613. First thing to do in this chapter is a dialogue choice. The first choice will
  614. progress the scene automatically while the second choice will force to you
  615. first try leaving to the right to move the scene forward. After either choice,
  616. you will end up in the stairwell.
  617.  
  618. Go down to the first floor. Saving at the candle on the way is probably a good
  619. idea. Moving partway through the first room will trigger another scene. The
  620. scene will move you to the entranceway for another chase, the longest yet.
  621. This chase requires you to run all over this building to escape so always be on
  622. guard for your pursuer.
  623.  
  624. Do not approach the eastern doorway to save yourself a big headache. Just move
  625. a small bit east and wait for your pursuer to come into the room. Avoid him
  626. and go into the western door again. Pass through the room and into the
  627. stairwell, going back up to the second floor.
  628.  
  629. Go east through the first two rooms on the second floor. Continue east to the
  630. fork and take it south. Follow the path west and north into another stairwell.
  631. Go back down to the first floor again to be in that room to the east of the
  632. entryway that was blocked earlier.
  633.  
  634. Follow the path east and north to another fork. North has nothing of note so
  635. go west to find yourself back in the entryway. The [Front Door Key] is sitting
  636. here. If you followed my advice earlier, just go directly to the front here.
  637. If not, you have to go ALL the way back around. Much harder.
  638.  
  639. Use the key on the door to the north and cross the walkway into the other
  640. building. Walk west until a ghost appears to tell you where to go. Follow her
  641. into the stairway and head up. Go north a little ways and a scene will occur,
  642. ending the longest chase in the game. Congrats!
  643.  
  644. You will see three more scenes after that one. During the third, you are given
  645. a choice. You must pick the first one or you will get a Wrong End later. When
  646. back in control, head south for a short scene in which you get a [Marble
  647. Statue]. Afterwards, leave the classroom for another scene (there are quite a
  648. lot of these in this chapter).
  649.  
  650. Go south for a brief scene. When it's done, continue down the stairs to the
  651. first floor. Start going east for another scene. You will receive [Naomi's
  652. Student ID] automatically as a result. Another scene plays after this one, a
  653. longer one. Leave the room when it finishes for yet another scene. Walk a bit
  654. east for another.
  655.  
  656. Finally back in control, note the pentagrams. You use these to switch between
  657. the two groups. I will tell you when you need to switch, like right now. When
  658. in control of Satoshi's group, you will be brought over to the other wing. A
  659. candle is present and you probably want to save after all that exposition.
  660.  
  661. When satisfied, head out to the west. You get a scene when you enter and
  662. acquire [Yuka's Shoes]. Go west into the stairwell when you can for another
  663. scene. Now, we can go back two rooms to the east to the entryway again. Head
  664. up to see a person in between the shoe racks. Approach for a scene.
  665.  
  666. You get a [Mini-DV Tape 2] from the encounter. We need to take this back to
  667. the janitor's closet. Save again if you like and head north and across the
  668. walkway back into the first wing. Slight detour before we see that tape. Go
  669. past the new narrow pathway and take the southern door to the stairs. Head up
  670. to the second floor.
  671.  
  672. Walk a bit north to see another lever. Using this now will save us time later,
  673. opening a path for our other team. When you've activated the lever, go back
  674. south and down the stairs. Go slightly east when down and walk up that narrow
  675. pathway to get to the red door. Go inside.
  676.  
  677. Use the television to see what's on the tape. When finished, you can then open
  678. the nearby sliding door for a scene and a ladder up to the third floor that
  679. you take automatically. The dialogue choice during this scene makes no
  680. difference. You get [Mini-DV "Sin" Tape] near the end of it.
  681.  
  682. Back in the bathroom hallway. Step onto the nearby pentagram to switch back to
  683. Ayumi's team. Going straight west, past the fork, leads to a candle if you
  684. wish to save. When done, go south at the fork. At the four-way fork, head
  685. south again and into the entryway.
  686.  
  687. Walk to the bottom of the room to find [Naho's Notebook]. There are five
  688. entries of this, including this one, and you need all of them in order to
  689. ensure the best ending. Make sure to get them when I note their appearances.
  690.  
  691. Leave the entryway and return to the four-way. Go west to the staircase and
  692. head up. A short ways north, right past the first door, is another Naho's
  693. Notes (2/5). Read through it and head back south and down the stairs. Go
  694. a bit east and you will see another Naho's Notes (3/5). Pick these up too.
  695.  
  696. Back up the stairs to the west. This time, let's go past the open door and up
  697. to the fork. West is that bridge we made earlier so let's cross it and save
  698. at the candle. As you continue west past the candle, you will see the window
  699. splash red with blood. Examine it after that happens to open the door. Go
  700. inside.
  701.  
  702. DO NOT examine the covered model near the doorway. Walk south in the room to
  703. find Naho's Notes (4/5). After you read them, leave the classroom the way you
  704. entered. Head east across the gap and south to that open doorway on the left
  705. side of the hall. On the left side of the room, are Naho's Notes (5/5). Go
  706. ahead and leave once you've gotten them.
  707.  
  708. Head back up and west past the candle. Take the open doorway all the way to
  709. the west for a stairway up to the third floor. Go right and into the first
  710. classroom door for a long scene. You get a [Baby Statue] at the end. Leave
  711. the room and head east the rest of the way to meet up with the others.
  712.  
  713. A scene will play before you take control of them. When you can move again, go
  714. east and down the stairs. All that is down here is a switch to open a path for
  715. the others again. Go back up after you've done this and head into the second
  716. door, the Girls' Lavatory. Walk into the open stall to return to the first
  717. floor and leave the janitor's closet.
  718.  
  719. Head south through the narrow pathway and take the stairs to the west. This
  720. time, go east when you get up here and you will find a door with two pedestals
  721. in front of it and a candle. Save if you want and use your statues on the
  722. slots to open the wall up. Go inside and head north a bit for a scene.
  723.  
  724. You automatically enter the next room. Move up and a scene plays. You leave
  725. automatically as well and head all the way out to the candle area for another
  726. scene. Save if you didn't before and start walking back to see a new sparkle.
  727. Examine it for a [Black Cat Plushie]. Go south and back down to the first
  728. floor.
  729.  
  730. Head east and exit out to the walkway. Start walking east for a scene. You
  731. will get a [Principal's Key] as a result. Continue into the other wing. Save
  732. if you didn't earlier and go west through another room back to the stairs. Go
  733. all the way up to the third floor and use your key to open this door.
  734.  
  735. A short scene plays before you can move. Head to the top of the desk to pick
  736. up the sparkle, getting [Sachiko's Tongue] and watching a scene. You probably
  737. see the nearby small entrance just to the right of your current position.
  738. Examine it to move to a new area but first is a character switch.
  739.  
  740. Enter the nearby room just to the west for a bit of exposition. Leave when you
  741. can and take the stairs to the west back downstairs. A long scene plays out.
  742. You find yourself in a new place when it's done. Head south to a new hall.
  743.  
  744. Here's that other path you opened earlier. Cross over the gap and head east to
  745. trigger a scene. Finish walking east when you can and enter the room the game
  746. shows as ???.
  747.  
  748. Move east through a small passage to an attached room with a large pentagram on
  749. the ground. A long scene will play out in which you get a dialogue choice.
  750. The one you choose doesn't matter. Another scene plays when you leave the
  751. room. The choice during this one again doesn't matter.
  752.  
  753. Back to the others. Head west and north at the fork. A scene will play. Go a
  754. bit farther north and another scene plays. The path the ghost goes tells you
  755. which path you should take through the hall. If you weren't paying attention,
  756. it went right twice, left once, and right twice again.
  757.  
  758. Continue through the hall for another scene. Afterwards, use the nearby lever
  759. to open a path. Go south and across the gap to find another lever. Back over
  760. the gap, go east this time and south, across another gap and around a corner.
  761. Use this lever to open that gap up to the north we just passed.
  762.  
  763. Cross over the first gap and continue over the second. Follow the path until
  764. you reach another lever. Backtrack slightly to cross over and pull the final
  765. lever, allowing you to return west and cross to a candle. Save and head up.
  766.  
  767. Ignore the doorway and move into the maze-like room for another ghost scene.
  768. You can take the ghost path but it's easier to just go right, right, up, left,
  769. left, up, left, down, down, left, up, up, and up to make it across and into
  770. another hallway.
  771.  
  772. Take the doorway you see immediately. You will see a scene inside. Inspect
  773. the wardrobe in the corner and try to leave for another. You'll be back in the
  774. hallway when it's done. Go north to see a candle to the west. You can save
  775. here if you want but DO NOT go past it into the doorway. You will get a Wrong
  776. End if you do.
  777.  
  778. Go east when you're ready and follow the blood until you encounter another
  779. scene. Head west and follow the turn to switch characters. Leave the room to
  780. bump into each other and see a scene. Go north a bit for a few more. When you
  781. regain control, there is a candle. This is the last one and saving is a VERY
  782. GOOD idea. Go north when you are ready.
  783.  
  784. Move west through this small room. A long set of scenes will start and you are
  785. given a few important choices during them. Offer [Sachiko's Tongue] and the
  786. [Black Cat Plushie]. Do not offer [Naho's Notebook] or the [Mini-DV "Sin"
  787. Tape]. If you do it wrong, you get a Wrong End.
  788.  
  789. You now have to chant the right number of times. There are five characters and
  790. you must chant an extra time on top of that. The game doesn't count for you so
  791. don't lose track of it. Everyone chants once, except Satoshi who says it
  792. twice. Choose to not chant once you've done six.
  793.  
  794. Now it's time to escape. Your timer is the bells that start to chime as you
  795. run. Once you hear seven, you will fail. This time does not pause in the
  796. menu either so don't think you can cheat it.
  797.  
  798. All you have to do is run all the way back along the path we just took to the
  799. part where the ladder was at the beginning. Go down to where you see TO FINISH
  800. if you can remember how to do that yourself. If not, I will tell you here, but
  801. you won't have much time to look at this. You have to go pretty quickly to
  802. make it. A good thing to remember is to avoid any side doors; they aren't the
  803. right way.
  804.  
  805. Head east out of the small room first. Run south, past the door and into the
  806. next hall. Head around the corner and south at the first fork. Round another
  807. corner and south at this fork too. Don't take the doorway.
  808.  
  809. For the maze, go down all the way along the west wall and then go right, up,
  810. up, right, down, right, right, down, left and left to exit. Head south down
  811. the hall and pass the doorway to the right.
  812.  
  813. Pass the candle and cross the gap. Don't take the first path south but take
  814. the second. Go west at the first fork and north at the second. Follow the
  815. path around to be at the skull part. Go right twice, left once, and right
  816. twice again to get through. Almost done.

  818. TO FINISH: Pass the door to the left and the path to the right and go south to
  819. be back in the school. Go east all the way, past the fork and until you see
  820. the red door. Run south through the narrow pathway, avoiding the holes in the
  821. ground. Head east as soon as you're out and through the open doorway. You
  822. made it!

  824. Watch the several scenes play out and the credits and you're done with Corpse
  825. Party!

  856. and go slightly east to see some new spirits. The stationary one has a hint;

  858. and reenter to see which one to inspect and do so to receive an [Infirmary
  859. Key]. The others will hurt you so don't mess up too much.
