ProtoMario vs Commentary Community

Hello. If you stumbled upon this, then I want you all to keep reading to the end. Afterwards, spread this document around to everyone you know. Now, I am a YouTube commentator who is within the commentary community. As to who this individual is, I won’t tell. However, I want to address something that I want to share the entire world right now, and I want to share this because me and my friends has been bullied and harassed to the point where I’m just getting sick and tired of it. I am talking about the commentary community versus ProtoMario.

For those of you who don’t know, the commentary community is actually separate from the gaming commentary community. We’re considered ourselves as the YouTube Commentary Community, or some might call it the Constructive Criticism Commentary Community. What we do is that we take a video that we disagree with or has flaws editing wise, and then we either give constructive criticism to make the video better, like writing a script for example, or debunk some of the points that they’d made within the video to where we’d make our own perspective of things, or to provide factual evidence against those points that were brought up. For example, if someone were to say, ‘I don’t like video games’, then alright. We don’t really commentate on that because it’s their own opinion. However, if someone were to say, ‘I don’t like video games because they corrupt the children’s minds to the point where they will commit murder’, then we can provide some actual evidence against this said claim by showing evidence, for example. There is also the part of the community where we do videos on other commentaries, but some don’t like them considering that it’s hard to follow. I’ll be providing some examples later on of who some of these commentators are.

As many of you can tell, some of you are at the sidelines watching the drama unfold. Some of you have been watching from ProtoMario’s channel. Some of you have seen some commentaries that were on him. Some of you might be individuals from those who are commentators. Some of you are fans of ProtoMario, but have not seen this at hand. Some of you have seen both Proto’s videos and the commentaries that were on him. Some of you have no idea as to what I’m even talking about, but that’s okay. Either way, I want all of you to read every single one of this and spread either the google document or the pastebin to everyone you know because I want everyone to know as to what has been going down with the drama that’s been happening.

What I’m first going to be doing is to start on what’s been happening on how this drama started off with, then do a commentary on here on his video about how the drama died down, because that’s not as to what’s been happening within the first place.

So to start things off, there was this whole drama that Jimmy Kimmel was involved with with the online gaming community on YouTube and the Let’s Plays on there. Jimmy made a joke about why he personally believe that Let’s Plays were a waste of time. This caused the community to be upset over the joke to the point where they were leaving nasty comments. Some even did a few video responses on the situation. One of which was ProtoMario himself.

This first video that I’ve linked is the video that he made in the regard of the incident. In there, he leaves a link towards Jimmy Kimmel’s sketch. Well, one individual leaves a comment. However, this individual doesn’t just leaves a comment on his video. He leaves a 10 minute reply towards ProtoMario. This individual’s name is called Clay Claymore.

Now, to be fair, this guy is mostly a troll. This individual is not really a part of the commentary community to begin with, nor does he want to be associated with us. Some people have doubts, however, because of the conversation that he and PieGuyRulz made with each other via comment section on one of his reply to Mr. Enter’s videos. Either way, this guy mostly did commentaries/videos on Mr. Enter and 03bgood, though there’s some room for other videos on other people. The video that ProtoMario made is one of them.

This actually got ProtoMario to make tweets about him. It does seem like as if he took them down, but from my best knowledge, when he did found Clay’s video on him, he thought that it wasn’t fair use.

In fact, backtracking for a bit, there was one commentator within the commentary community who did a video on ProtoMario. I don’t know as to who it was, but ProtoMario did take the video down, even though that commentaries do fall under fair use for section 107 of the US copyright law. Long story short, the ending was that it got to the point where one individual from a commentary group called ‘A Bunch of Pseudo Intellectuals’ got wrongfully kicked out. Any of the individuals that I bring up on here is not the commentator that I’m talking about.

Anyways, it did got ProtoMario to make another video about this. Near the end, however, he mentions the whole text thing and how it’s lazy editing. This was mainly towards a jab towards Clay Claymore. You can view the video below:

There’s a third and final video about this topic, but it’s only about a minute long, and it’s not really that important to the video.

Enter Kayden Marx. This is one of the first commentators who had tackled with one of ProtoMario’s video’s. In fact, make that two (technically three) videos. He did a double feature towards ProtoMario, and that he was debunking his said points throughout the video. For example, when ProtoMario said that Jimmy Kimmel was a YouTube comedy channel, it’s really a late-night talk show that only took some of the moments that happened within each episode of the show.

Well, Kayden actually send the video towards ProtoMario via twitter and on YouTube. Keep this in mind for the fact that ProtoMario could have walked away from the ordeal and could have not paid attention to the video. Well, he’d didn’t watch the video at all, but for a reason. ProtoMario’s response is the fact that he doesn’t have the time because it was a 40 minute reply video. This is his literal comment that he’d left:

“If you didn't give a fuck you wouldn't have tweeted this shit at me. Seriously, if you don't give a fuck about me or my opinions, don't tweet your video at me. Have a great day and a great life. And no I am not wasting 40 min watching a video reply to a video I did weeks ago.”

He’d also left this:

“You really expect me to waste my time watching your video that replies to me, for 40 fucking minutes? Look man I have to go pick up my daughter, it's Sunday, and I want to spend time with my family. I am getting off of here, you are free to waste your time making reply videos if you want, but I am not wasting my time watching this, sorry. Have a great day and a great life.”

Here’s the thing that’ll hurt him in this comment. ProtoMario could have watched this another day when he does have the time. However, and to this day alone, he did not watch Kayden’s video.

This then created a reply video to Kayden Marx, but he’d left him out of the mess. Keep this in mind, as he’ll be showing up on ProtoMario’s videos.

Also in the video, he’d said some things that I’ll be commentating on for a bit:

3:26-4:00: What ProtoMario said was that you’re might not be getting your subscriber fanbase all because you have some ponies from My Little Pony:Friendship is Magic as an avatar (a character that we’d used for our commentaries to give some visual aid instead of watching a blank space or somebody recording it from a computer via camcorder or camera.).

First of all, *Ahem* Jerry Peet has 37K at the time of this being written, and Moliminious has around 26K at the time of this being written. AntonyC has 31K, Black Gryph0n has 100K, etc. Honestly, they do have an active fanbase who do like their content, and they’re considered to be bronies.

4:21-4:25: “Why do I have time on these children, really?”

Let me make a couple of points here.

If you’re talking about the people from the cameos, Harley Scalington might be the only one who’s really a teenager.

If you’re talking about your haters as a whole, then I fail to see that logic, as I can guarantee you that some of them are adults.

If you’re not talking about their age, but how they act, then again, I fail to see the logic here. You are essentially saying that they’re not acting adult to the situation, when clearly, they were.

5:35-5:47: Saying that the CC was saying in the comments section of the video that picking up his daughter from school is not an excuse to miss watching a 40 minute video.

I’ve already said my thing about him watching another time, but I will say this. The commentators did not even remotely say anything about how, ‘Oh, you’re picking up your daughter right now? Well fuck you, you have to watch the video now.’ They never said that within the first place. They did say that you have time to watch the video.

But then things gets interesting. From what I’d recall, he’d got a message about Kayden’s gofundme page. The gofundmepage was created by Zerarick on October 12, 2015, where Kayden was in a dire need. In the description, he’d said this:

“Kayden Marx is a YouTuber who for a while now has been having financial troubles. Now those troubles have gotten so bad because he hasn't paid his insurance due to mishaps involving outside sources taking his money before he could pay it, the dealership is shutting off his car until he gets it paid for which because of his lack of a car results in him losing his job. The money from this campaign will be used so he can restabilize his finances and get back on his feet without the worry of going hungry, losing his apartment, or the like. I urge you to consider donating as quickly as you can, and if you can't donate to please share this campaign with others.”

To clarify things some more, this gofundme page was to make sure that, even though that he still has his job, he doesn’t worry about having to pay for rent for the next year. He will continue to work, but then he can focus on doing other things like getting another car, or a bike. Recently, however, and he did told me about this, it had gotten to the point where he’d recently got me an eviction notice for not paying rent, because since he’d lost his car, he now has to rely on his co-workers to pick him up and drop him off. He’d used to have 2 bikes, but it got stolen twice (one time, he did had the locks on). Keep this gofundme page in mind.

Now then, on October 25, 2015, another commentator by the name of AzumangaDiohFan101 did a three shot commentary on him and his theory video about Wally’s Confidence and why he didn’t like it. Maybe it’s something else, I don’t know. You can see the video yourself.

Now ProtoMario did responded to her, but only because another commentator by the name of JustCallMeHenry sent this video to him via Twitter. After his comment, another commentator by the name of Rion ‘Rhino’ Mills responded to him as well as a few other people. This is where 8363MTR, another commentator came in. He did saw the comment section and decided that he wants to talk to him on Skype after when ProtoMario offered it to challenge them on a debate. This was the result:

He also created a video anonymously with the help of a few other commentators. The main reason why I am telling you about who this person is is because of how ProtoMario sent a tweet exposing 8363MTR that he was the anonymous person.

Strike one.

Technically, it is legal for 8363MTR to make himself anonymous throughout the entire conversation. It is illegal, however, for ProtoMario to tell everyone that he was the one that talked with him.

Let’s talk about the conversation itself. At some points in the conversation, ProtoMario said that the CC can be related to TMZ, when that’s not the case. TMZ only gossip on celebrities. Us commentators commentate and give out constructive criticism, and we don’t focus on how popular the person who we’re commentating on are. There has been videos where some of them aren’t really all that popular to begin with.

Then there’s the whole thing about how Kayden deserves to be down on his luck.

Why are you really saying that he deserves to be homeless in the first place? Why are you saying that he deserves to be down on his luck right now? Way to be a scrub…

What’s worse is a couple of things. First up, he has a patreon. In that patreon, he asks for money. Those goals once he reach to a couple of subscriptions on Patreon are to remove the ads...and to propose to his girlfriend.

Strike two.

First of all, he’s literally asking money to get rid of some ads and to pay a proposal. He was, and probably still is, literally breaking the guidelines of Patreon, as he cannot use the milestones that is not towards his creations. He’s asking for $10,000 on his Patreon to marry his girlfriend. What’s worse is that he’s pulling back and saying, ‘oh, lol, it’s just a prank, bro!’.

Secondly, he even said it with the next video that I’m about to show you. This was the video that he’d made to the entire commentary community. In the video, he compared us as an SJW (where he’d got the definition is from Urban Dictionary, which is not a reliable source), complained that our avatar pics have watermarks (where one can defend by saying that it’s a way to go look at the creator’s work), and how, yes, that Kayden deserves it.

There was also an interview that ProtoMario made with an individual. I don’t know if the person is legit as it does seem like as if it was just ProtoMario ranting on and on, but I’ll post it here anyways.

And then there’s the video that he’d made towards his ‘depression’ (I’ve put this in quotations because it’s hard to believe as to whether or not if he does have depression...like he actually went to a hospital and got a doctors note saying that he is mentally depressed).

And then at the beginning of this video, he’d posted a screenshot of a commentator by the name of Zerarick who tweeted him about his depression video.

Do you see a pattern here?

Within his channel, he’s been literally damage controlling the situation saying that the commentators are nothing more than a bunch of losers who does nothing than to just make reply videos and hope that ‘we get some views’ when no. That’s not as to how commentating works.

Also, so far, he’s only has about 7 videos damage controlling, while there were 4 videos that were against him.

Now this one happened recently. A couple of days ago while I’m writing this, another commentator by the name of youngbloodfantasy91 made a commentary on his other video on the CC. You can see the video here:

Two days ago, a couple of people on Twitter decided to tweet ProtoMario about the video at hand, and has left a long reply over something. My biggest gripe about the comment was this:

“I know names don't mean everything but holy shit man, your name is Youngbloodfantasy91, you want me to take you serious with a name like that? I will continue, but Youtube allows you to change your name, perhaps something more professional?”

Why do you have a gripe against usernames in the first place? Just because of the fact that it’s not professional? Okay...why? You’ve never really elaborated with your points here.

Then he made a video saying that, ‘Hey, are you really expecting an actual reply video on this? Well, no. Instead, here’s a reply video saying that I’ve replied to you via comment section.’ Although that he did state that you can watch the video and judge on it, it didn’t help for the fact that most of his fanbase left in comments after comments against him.

Well a few hours ago as I’m writing this, he’d released a video about the whole incident saying that the drama has died. And I’m going to be doing a commentary on this. Mainly because he’d misinterpreted as to what he’d said about what went on.

0:18: Then why did you make 9 videos right now about the commentary community within the first place? If you really didn’t wanted the drama to start, and no, it doesn’t help for the fact that you wanted it to end, you’ve could have...I don’t know...ignored them.

Some of the comments that were left on Hobbes’ video weren’t really just saying, ‘Well, I agree with you on this point, but don’t agree with you on this point’, but were really people who ‘shouted’ at him saying that he’s an awful person ALL because he’d dare make a reply video on you. GG.

2:58: ANOTHER reason as to why you should have watched Kayden’s video. He did somewhat talked about the video, but he’d felt like as if you were, quote on quote, wearing a tinfoil hat all because of it.

3:13: Because you’ve replied to Kayden and a few others saying that he’s shitty for not noticing that you have a daughter, when, again, YOU’VE COULD HAVE WATCHED THE VIDEO AT ANOTHER TIME!

3:52: That’s because you’d said that he’d deserved it-actually, I might actually bring something up first if that’s the case. This was a conversation that Michael Schomer made towards ProtoMario on Skype after when Proto himself seen the video.

4:51: Then show me some actual proof. If you’re going to accuse him, then let me see some actual conversations of him saying otherwise. Oh, and possibly a smart thing to do: Actually screenshotting everything or take a camcorder and make sure that everyone knows about it for visual proof if you’re going to complain that he may blocked me, or that he has blocked me. One more thing, maybe create a DIFFERENT twitter account so that you can see him doing this.

5:04: Oooooooooooooooooh geez...here we go again with the whole ‘gossip’ shit. You know, we commentators actually try to contact the content creator that we make a reply to whether it’d be public or private just so that we can let them know that we commentated on an individual...just like with YOU!

5:48: He’s asking for $5,000 because he’s paying rent for a full year so that he can focus on his OTHER financial problems, like again, getting his car back, or maybe trying to pay off his debt, which I actually did talked to him, and he’s literally in a huge debt right now.

6:13: Most of it here is true. We can’t really pay his rent on his gofundme page because we’re poor. I can’t because my mom cannot spend money right now to pay for luxury goods right now. However, you’re also wrong in that sense. Some of the people who have been a part of the CC, like Zerarick for example, did donated to Kayden, but it’s just that he can’t pay a lot.

6:16: No. It is because you have been harassing us all because we make commentaries. You know, like how Jimmy Kimmel has been ‘harassing gamers of how they’d like to do their hobbies’?

7:23: I’m sorry, but how are they, the group of the Federation of the Exalted, making hate videos on you, exactly? Not once did I ever really see an actual video about them doing a commentary on you within the first place, so I kinda fail to see your logic here. Yes, 8363MTR did released the discussion that the both of them made, and that Harley made a cameo with Kayden, but those two still don’t count because they didn’t make an actual reply video to you at all. Same thing can be said with MOST of the members of BOP. Maybe it’s because they either don’t know about the drama or that they just wanted to AVOID IT?!

What’s worse is that I don’t get as to why you’d bring them up within the first place if that you’re saying here isn’t true to begin with. In fact, it only feels like as if you only brought them up only because 8363MTR said his group name within his discussion with you...even though that he said that the group wasn’t doing a group commentary on you. It just only seems like as if you only did it JUST to bring your fanbase into it and harass the commentators too.

9:19: Are you really sure about this? Are you really sure that you want to stop making these videos on us, even though that you have now constantly harassed us right now? If not, then expect that comment that you’ve just made to backfire.

9:57: The same thing can be said with commentaries, to be honest with you, and that’s not the shocking part about it. We do them because we want to not only inform our audience, but to ENTERTAIN our audience as well. I’m sorry, but it sounded like as if you really don’t know about commentaries within the first place right now.

10:26: Maaaaybe there’s another form about how the commentary community works...maybe it’s because...oh...I don’t know...how commentaries are also there to call people out on their bullshit, and how they want to inform their own audience that what they’d said is bullshit?

And in all honesty, I’m just done with the video.

9 videos about the commentary community...and the worst part is that you’ve could have just dropped it. You could have just let this died down, or better yet, never responded to it within the first place...but now, you’ve took it too far. I now want people to know that you are truly who you really are...a scumbag douchebag who is throwing everyone underneath the bus all because we dare do commentaries.

Again, I want people to share this to everyone that they know. I want everyone to know that he’s a heartless bully for what he’s been doing over the past couple of months, and I want everyone to talk about the situation at hand right now. Share this, make a video about this, I don’t care. I just hope that I can convince some people to know that the way that he’s been treating the entire community so far is not funny to begin with, and that everyone share and discuss how disgusting the way that he’s bullying the community, especially towards Kayden Marx.
