Greg and Lillian

Saving this to take some notes about them.

They were originally created as characters for a dark cloud-esque game. I don't have much details on the setting yet, but i wanted to  do something kinda like solatorobo, but with lower tech (no robots, no airships, some other tech exists though, but more primitive. regular ships are pretty advanced though) and in a wacky pirate setting (think something like monkey island). Or maybe go for something a bit more comedy/action like dragon ball was (not z), and do the relic as something less serious but still threatening.

EDIT: Really reconsidering the level of technology in the setting. Maybe more advanced, or a mix of both advanced and old stuff (think like a lot of old rpgs did) or dragon ball-esque.

Other inspirations would be stuff like megaman legends, dragon quest, and some other ps1/n64 era rpg games.

-PLOT SUMMARY:

Ocean, endless islands, and ancient secrets to unravel, thats how this world is.

Our story begins with Greg, arriving on verisport in hopes of finding what truly happened to his grandfather (to his dad's disdain), who used to be a treasure hunter (and a pirate, for some other reasons), sadly over time it proves to be really difficult to find anything, and yet balance a good life at his state. Sometime later, he meets Lillian, when she asks him to help her carry some boxes back to her antiques shop, later on becoming her housemate after losing his job and the only way to stay in the island, but thankfully Lillian hired him to work with her, and had a spare room on her house (and in the current point the story is, establishing a solid relationship as boyfriend & girlfriend).

Somehow getting their hands a new lead on the whole grandpa story, the two set out to discover the entire thing, facing dangerous enemies, and at the same time, recruiting new and powerful allies, and discovering how deep the whole thing goes.

At the same time, our villain, who was once grandpa's right hand man, and now mercilessly desfigured by past combats and held together by his own mechanical creations, seeks to fulfill his own twisted dreams with the relic. Fueled by greedy merchants and corrupt nobles, and backed by equally treacherous mercenaries, he will stop at nothing to win.

-EXTRA/POST-STORY STUFF:

Jaime, she is the single daughter of Greg and Lillian. She takes a lot after her dad, sharing his love for culinary aswell, and her mother's interest in history. Besides that she is a big fan of photography.
Her plot, alongside her friends, will be something more chill, perhaps with some mystery mixed in. Self-doubt, anxiety, romance, comedy all come into play here.
