  1. Edit 3: Guys, you are the best. We all know there is a very high chance that there is exactly nothing to it, and yet you've come up with some pretty amazing stuff. Like Kojima's big taboo thing actually being 9/11 and ground zero. (Because, let's be honest, the expected "big" taboo thing with child soldiers and Quiet fell pretty short as well.)
  2.
  3. Edit 2: The Silent Hill subreddit is also intrigued by the website because of some obvious connections to Silent Hills P.T. Now watch THIS. It's a radio transmission that can be heard inside an outpost in Africa, near Ngumba Industrial Zone. It may mean nothing, but Kojima definitely went full meta this time.
  4.
  5. Edit: Before you say there is obviously camera hack: GZ didn't come out for PC until December, the video was posted in July!
  6.
  7. DISCLAIMER: You might not want to read this if you haven't seen the "Truth" ending yet.
  8.
  9. Alright: Until today I believed that MGSV is basically over once you've seen mission 46. I was certain that whatever great things they had in mind for chapter 2 or the ending, they simply got scrapped and cut (like mission 51) due to time and budget constraints from Konami. Seemed like this is the most reasonable explanation for the dissatisfying last part of the game.
  10.
  11. Even when people started dissecting the mystery MSX cassette tape, I believed there might not be much to it after all.
  12.
  13. Then poeple started throwing around this strange countdown site http://ingsoc.org/ (an obvious 1984 reference) and how it obviously includes MGS and Kojima references. There is a hidden morse code message. I deciphered it myself to be sure, by simply downloading a morse-code app for android. The message literally says IS THERE SUCH A THING AS AN ABSOLUTE, TIMELESS ENEMY?, an obvious quote from MGS3.
  14.
  15. Still, I thought, this might just be some serious fan trolling the world. The website owner went to some lengths to stay anonymous, whois lookup and IP tracing gets you nowhere.
  16.
  17. But then, today i saw people on 4chan linking this video from july 2014. Someone said the video can be linked to Kojima productions LA but I don't know about that. BUT: This video contains video material from the ground zeroes ending cutscene, FROM A NEW PERSPECTIVE! I couldn't really believe it until i cross-checked the original cutscene from the game. This youtube video posted by ProjectOmega567ch contains a short, different view on the battle between Snake, Miller and the XOF soldiers (starting at around 1:00min ).
  18.
  19. It is basically impossible that this is just some fan's work. Even crazier: that the video contains hints about Ishmael's true identity, 4 months after GZ release and more than a year before TPP.
  20.
  21. And now the really crazy thing that finally hit me: This video, and another video uploaded by the same youtube account, (one that contains UNSEEN FOOTAGE from MGS3 Zero and Big Boss models!) show references to the BLACK HOUND from the website, ingsoc.org!
  22.
  23. There is also the newest video uploaded 2 weeks ago, which basically says starts with Big Boss falling in a coma scene and then "Col. Campbell"/the AI from MGS2 telling you not to believe anything you see and then goes completely MGS2-ending-crazy on how there is something huge going on.
  24.
  25. If this turns out to go nowhere, then someone fucked up really big. Not because it would be dissappointing for the series, but because they put a HUGE amount of effort in it. And by now I honestly don't believe that this is just some trolling fans denying the MGSV ending...
  26.
  27. tl;dr recap:
  28.
  29. Two possible explanations why chapter 2 and ending of MGSV basically lacked so much MGS-flair:
  30.
  31. 1.: They ran out of money and time (still very likely and most reasonable explanation)
  32.
  33. 2.: Something is incoming - check the evidence.
  34.
  35. Evidence:
  36.
  37. Mysterious website (could still be fanmade) with hints to TPP, Kojima, P.T. and ties to Stockholm, Sweden (anyone remember Moby Dick studios?). Countdown to September 11 (if you don't understand the date, watch the very last scene of mission 51).
  38.
  39. Kojimas statement he'd do something never done before, something "you can only do with videogames."
  40.
  41. Youtube-Videos supposedly linked to Kojima Productions (actually fanmade judging by comments here).
  42.
  43. P.T. stuff in TPP (maybe a random easter egg but serisously wtf...).
