[Lalna picks up the journal and stares at it for a short while, confirming in his head that he's going to shortly make a terrible decision. He heads out of the house with it and a bag of supplies, Xephos hears the door close, sees him walk away through the window, and runs out of the house donning a coat in a rush to catch up.]

XEPHOS: Why are you so insistent on this? We already decided it was a bad idea!

LALNA: You've got to be curious though, surely? Look, we've got the instructions to banish him again, worse comes to worse we use those.

[He drops the bag, rummages through it and begins prep work on the summoning circle, while Xephos nervously paces and fretts.]

XEPHOS: *worry worry worry rant about idiocy blah blah*

[Lalna looks up, nearly finished, and frowns]

LALNA: If you're going to keep going on about it then just go, I've got this under control!

XEPHOS: ... You never have things under control. No, I'll stay here to make sure you don't... I don't know... sign your soul to Satan or something.

LALNA: Come on then.

[They both sit at the circle and do whatever ritual it is?? and Ci? undecided so we'll call it Ci, comes out as the world turns greyscale]

CI: Kid, I like your curiosity! You're the first one to summon me without a purpose, you know that? So here, I'll offer you a special deal- to satiate that thirst of yours, I can give you secrets of the universe that no humans have ever known.

LALNA: Of the universe?

CI: Sure! Knowledge of millennia, laws of reality all of that good stuff!

[Lalna glances away, pondering. Xephos finally makes himself known and interjects]

XEPHOS: What does he give you in return? Everybody knows demons don't work for free.

CI: Genre-savvy eh? I get the hesitation, but all I want to do is give him a helping hand. Is that so hard to believe?

XEPHOS: Ye-

LALNA: I'll do it!

XEPHOS: Are you an idiot? He just admitted his kind are shifty creatures, you're asking for trouble.

LALNA: You heard his offer, he's not asking for anything!

CI: Well boys?

[Ci holds out his hand with the blue flames, Lalna after a second's hesitation, shakes it. Ci continues to hold hands, raising them in the air in celebration]

CI: All right! Eiffel towers all around!

[Ci raises his other hand to Xephos, who looks surprised and then slightly worried, but completes the high-five. There's a flash of light and a tearing noise, when the flash is done the world has returned to normal colour and Lalna opens his eyes.]

LALNA: Wait, what? Wasn't he supposed t-

[Xephos, who had fallen away and to the side while asleep, gets up while facing away]

XEPHOS?: You said you wanted a helping hand...

[He turns towards Lalna, palms up and open. HIS EYES ARE BLUE AND POSSESSED WHO WOULD HAVE GUESSED]

CI: How about two?

*somehow insert shitty two for one IT'S A ///STEAL/// pun*

[He dives for Lalna, they end up in a rolling fight.  Ci starts choking Lalna but he right hooks him off, Ci grabs the journal while Lalna is getting up and cracks him over the head with it, he collapses unconscious. Xephos ghost who's been trying to catch his bearings zoom-floats over to his body.]

XEPHOS: Lalna? Lalna?!

[He turns and in the foreground is Ci, flipping through the journal's pages to the banishing instructions.  He rips them out, and burns them using the candles from the circle, then turns back to grin.]
