  11. [2012-02-18 10:08:08] * Cataclysm limps just a little bit from where the sniper rifle had hit her, "Yeah. Refreshing. Because being shot at is exactly how I want to start every day." Slowly slinking up towards Jackie, "You doing alright? Those signs look like they hurt."

  13. [2012-02-18 10:12:35] * Jackhammer winces as she flops to the ground. "Yeah, from where I'm standing it kinda hurt. Was standing. No standing now. Standing hurts." She looks up at Cat. "I've been better. Kiss it and make the hurt go away?" she asks with only half of a teasing smile.

[2012-02-18 10:14:08] * Cataclysm gives PatchWork the room to, er, work before coming around to kiss Jackie's shoulder where she was cut, "Any time." winking before straightening up, "But I think we'd better keep going as soon as we're all put back together. I'd rather not get stuck out on the road when the sun goes down..."
  15. [2012-02-18 10:14:26] * Desert_Lightning wheels around in the sky, scanning for targets. Noting that things look good, he descends towards Light_Seeker. "I want that rifle." he calls down to him.
  16. [2012-02-18 10:14:35] <Cataclysm> A nice soft bed would have been such a wonderfully welcome change. Not that she expected the Steel Rangers to offer one, but there was always that hope.

  18. [2012-02-18 10:16:23] * PatchWork looks entire worn out from the strain of healing the group. "Don't think I'll be uch use the rest of the day. . . my horn is killing me."
  19. [2012-02-18 10:16:50] * HighCaliber looks towards the group. "Is everyone ready to head out? I don't want to wait to see if there is any more of these... Well, I don't think we can rightly call them ponies anymore."
  20. [2012-02-18 10:16:54] * Desert_Lightning continues in a wide arc, always scanning for new hostiles before landing on the statue next to Light_Seeker. "Thanks, want a ride down?" Heasks the small Unicorn.
  21. [2012-02-18 10:17:39] * Light_Seeker hands Desert_Lightning the rifle and gets on his back
  22. [2012-02-18 10:17:50] * Jackhammer smiles, trying to hide the wince when Cat kisses her shoulder. "I'll take you up on that 'anytime' later. But you're right, we ought to get going as soon as I can stand without wanting to scream like a filly. Running out of adrenaline and endorphins sucks."
  23. [2012-02-18 10:17:59] <PatchWork> 12 "Yeah. . . We should deffinately do the moving thing."
  24. [2012-02-18 10:19:47] * HighCaliber reloads his gun, then puts it back on his back. "Alright, off to Ironworks. Might as well start moving when we've got the daylight."
  25. [2012-02-18 10:20:40] * Jackhammer blinkies as Patchy heals her and the wound seals shut. "Aw yeah, that's more like it. Need me to carry you, Patchy?" she chuckles as she climbs back to her hooves and gives a few good test-stomps.
  26. [2012-02-18 10:20:42] * Cataclysm reaches out with a hoof towards Jackie, "Then feel free to lean on me?" smiling a little bit. She wasn't the biggest mare, but she was pertty decently strong and tough, even when she was half asleep. A fact which her slightly wobbly legs kept giving away, despite her best efforts to avoid it.

  28. [2012-02-18 10:21:58] * Desert_Lightning gets ready to fly. "Okay, Light_Seeker hold on tight, welcome to air pegasus offering semi direct routes to near anywhere in the wastes." He says as he takes off.
  29. [2012-02-18 10:22:36] * Jackhammer grins at Cat. "I'd love to, but for the moment..." She slips her head under Patchy's belly and lifts him up onto her back. "I've got a pony to carry."
  30. [2012-02-18 10:22:43] * HighCaliber starts to trot opposite the direction the group came from. "Let's move out, everypony!"
  31. [2012-02-18 10:23:01] <Desert_Lightning> "Say, I saw a caravan whilst I was decending, might be worth checking out, don't ya think Light_Seeker?"

  34. [2012-02-18 10:24:27] * HighCaliber sees the caravan, and his mouth starts to water a little. "Hey, they might let us pawn off our old loot there! What do you say, everypony?"
  35. [2012-02-18 10:24:49] * Cataclysm chuckles, "Alright then." trotting along beside Jackie and doing her best to keep pace with the rest of the group. A yawn passing over her muzzle again, "Mmmmf. Hey, what's that?" peering off towards the distant caravan, "Hope they're friendly..."

  40. [2012-02-18 10:26:25] * HighCaliber steps forward. "Actually, I think I may be best suited for this. I do believe I have the most bartering experience."
  41. [2012-02-18 10:27:34] * Cataclysm rubs her ear with a hoof, adjusting her hard hat a moment later, "They're heading thisaway anyway. So we'll pass them if we keep going." peering towards Caliber with some disbelief, "Really? That's a shock." No sarcasm there, at least. Well, maybe it would actually be better if there were some sarcasm.

  48. [2012-02-18 10:30:32] <Cataclysm> "You'd be amazed how far 'Give me a good deal or I'll shoot you' will get you in the wasteland. It's a prefered tactic for the Steel Rangers, after all." Cataclysm just grinned a moment before shaking her head, "I suppose I could always use some backup at the bargaining table. No such thing as too much selling power, after all."

  50. [2012-02-18 10:31:10] <Puppysmiles> 13 a couple of ponies detach from the caravan and gallop toward the group, they are wearing lightcombat armors and have the usual white hoof mark on their bardings
  51. [2012-02-18 10:31:59] * Desert_Lightning quickly puts the others between the gaurds and hims and Light_Seeker. "Hate dealing with gaurds."
  52. [2012-02-18 10:32:12] * PatchWork from the back of Jackhammer smiles at the approaching ponies. "Evening."
  53. [2012-02-18 10:32:40] * HighCaliber clears his throat. "Hello, soldiers. We'd like to partake in a bit of trading, if you'd be so kind."
  54. [2012-02-18 10:32:57] * Cataclysm raises her hard hat slightly with a bit of a bow towards the approaching guards once they're close enough, "Hope you folks are having a good day. Weather's kindof nasty. Lots more lead percipitation than normal."
  55. [2012-02-18 10:34:21] <Puppysmiles> 13the guards are a unicorn mare and an earth pony stallion, both armed with assault rifles. the mare is the one doing the talk "well yes, yoou seem no raiders..."

  61. [2012-02-18 10:37:05] <Puppysmiles> 13 the mare nods "very well, let's wait for the boss to arrive with the carts and you can ask directly to him if he wants to make some bartering" the two guards don't seem to relax very much and keep scouting the surroundings
  62. [2012-02-18 10:37:11] <PatchWork> "Speaking on of raiders we ran into three of them back that a way so you might want be on alert as you move ahead. Don't know how many of them there might be left that we simply missed."

Just some overly-violent psychos out for cheap caps, I think." she frowned a moment, "Course, could be something worse behind it. They were awful well set up for just random raiders. Must have been there a while, just waiting for someone to come by."
  69. [2012-02-18 10:39:42] <Puppysmiles> 13the caravan is drawing near, there are 3 other guards in heavy combat barding and a white unicorn stallion wearing just a black hat. the unicorn seems to be the boss

  71. [2012-02-18 10:40:53] * HighCaliber slowly walks to the presumed boss. "Hello, kind sir. We would like to partake in a bit of trading, if that's alright with you. We have just acquired some loot, and are looking for a place to drop it off."

Trotting up after him a moment later, "We've just been assaulted by bandits, who I do believe were out to rob your caravan. Or at least to rob any caravan which happens to come this way." she smiles just a bit, "We took the liberty of relieving

  79. [2012-02-18 10:43:52] * Desert_Lightning looks at em trading. "I think that's one thing that I can't guarantee. We're stuck with him, even if he's a bit, um." Desert_Lightning just trails off, unable to find suitable words.
  80. [2012-02-18 10:44:29] * HighCaliber gives a nervous chuckle. "Well, that's because it is! Or, well it /was/. The Rangers and I... didn't see eye to eye on everything. But, that's a long story." HighCaliber gives his widest smile.

  85. [2012-02-18 10:48:19] <HighCaliber> "Well, I left before the whole 'Civil War' fiasco. They seemed to believe that it was alright to prey on innocent ponies! I couldn't stand for it, so I left. About a week or so afterwords, some mare stirred up the pot, and everyone split. I chose to not go back."

  89. [2012-02-18 10:50:34] * Cataclysm smiles just a bit brighter as Cal clears up his little problems, "Oh, yes. Well, with a little luck, at least. I'm sure your caravan can always do with more things to sell, after all. Can never have too many wares."

Not that many folks call me that." straightening a moment later, as she glanced towards the others. Truthfully in her exhaustion she'd only paid much attention to the parts of their find which interested her. Mostly booze, on account of raiders not having much in the way of high explosives.

  95. [2012-02-18 10:54:51] <HighCaliber> "Well, potions are always a necessity out in the waste, are they not? And we have recently procured a pair of deadly weapons for melee! These here almost chopped my companion over there in half, if you'd believe it! We also have a few small arms we may not be using anymore, so the could be available to you as well."

  98. [2012-02-18 11:08:12] * Jackhammer turns to show off the nice, new, slightly puckered scar the sign gave her shoulder. This also display's Patchy's rump. Ooops. "My name's Jackhammer, but friends call me Jackie. Got any replacements for these spiked ponyshoes that look a bit less like they came from a down on his luck raider?"
  99. [2012-02-18 11:10:19] <Puppysmiles> 13white looks at the spiked hooves of jackie "they are in bad shape... bu i can give you these asking for no caps in the deal" the stallion shows a couple of spiked horseshoes that are yellow with pink spikes, they seem suspiciously well kept
  100. [2012-02-18 11:14:30] * Jackhammer eyes the colorful shoes. "Huh...well, not sure about the color, but they certainly don't look like they belonged to a raider." She turns her body so Patchy can see the shoes easily. "Whatcha think, do they look good, Patchy?"

  102. [2012-02-18 11:17:16] <Puppysmiles> 13mr White checks the stuff and doesn't seem very pleased "well, this is cheap and quite common weaponry... i can give you a healing potion for the two hammers and the pistol... and change those .32 for caps on the actual change... does that sound fair?"
  103. [2012-02-18 11:18:10] * Cataclysm taps her hoof to her chin thoughtfully, nodding her head in response, "I think that will do, yes." smiling happily, "I hope this will be as beneficial to you as it is to us, then!" It wasn't like they were going to need those things, after all.

  114. [2012-02-18 11:26:10] * Cataclysm shakes her head a few moments, "Where in Equestria did you find something like that..?" Was this whole road full of crazy? Well, it was possible, but at least it was adorable and fun crazy instead of the usual murderous and horrific crazy...

Well, that fit about right with past expectations. Jobs were never as easy as they looked on the tin. But at least the weirdness was slightly less likely to get all over her if she didn't go looking for it, right?

Not that she isn't glad to have something that looks less raider-ish and is in perfect condition no less, but...those colors...and the meeping... With a sigh, she tries them on, relieved to find that they don't meep all the time at least, then she glances to Cat asking, "What do you think? Do the colors suit me?"
