Respect? Why would I respect Kite when she has done almost everything possible to make me lose my respect for her? Not a week goes past where she doesn't spew out some ridiculous response that makes me wonder why she isn't flipping burgers and collecting food stamps yet. Oh wait, yeah I know. It's because she can explain concepts. Sometimes. Then the other times she's not even going to go over a concept someone doesn't understand because "Oh, you should have read the damn book. Here, let me go on a ten minute exposition on why y'all are such lazy numbskulls. Then tomorrow I think I'll complain about how perfectly reasonable inquiries over a certain question are wasting time."

Then she's also funny. Crack a good joke here and there and the whole damn class is willing to roll over for a nice belly scratch and meow quietly.

She's a good "teacher" in the strictest sense. She can teach a subject. But this isn't 1896 and there's no paddle anymore, so she needs to step it up and become a teacher suited for the modern era. She's not just a teacher, but someone who we have to be with for almost an hour five days a week.

She's mean. Concept check? Ok, here are the categories. Now I'm scrolling up to show you the food web. List all the organisms for each category. Ms Kite, can you show the categories again?
There could be a million reasons why they didn't get them the first time. But she sees only one reason, and that's because YOU'RE A DUMBASS WHO DOESN'T PAY ATTENTION NO I'M NOT SHOWING IT TO YOU SHUT UP. CLASS, WHAT WERE THE CATEGORIES? There are also a million ways she could have responded, and she chooses one of the worst.

But no, I'm being harsh to prepare you for the future. College. AP classes. Guess what, she's choosing the saltiest and most hurtful way possible to go about that. If the teacher is straight up telling students to shut up and stop asking questions, are they being a teacher? If they're creating a classroom environment where you're afraid to ask a question of technicalities, are they being a teacher?

Is she unified? No. This is pointed to Jasper policy in general. Kraft/Kite, Moreno/Roelofs, Virdin & Garafola/Stanton & Siddiqui- there's no reason their homework should be so different. They're teaching the same subject, and it should follow the same rough outline.

Is she caring? Even if she is, she's certainly going the wrong way about it. Her technique has its limits, and she's crossing them.
