  1. >you finish your reflections as your mind switches back to what is it hand for a brief moment
  2. >your inner thoughts spiral like a coiled spring, you constantly remind yourself why you are here, but it is still a bitter and unreal pill to swallow
  3. >you stare out at the world, frozen in the green pod that your are incased in, your head aching from the violence that the neural re socialization had bestowed upon your mind.
  4. >you wondered why, despite being released from your stasis, you were unable to move and were still imprisoned in the pod.
  5. >you feel the long breathing tube down your throat, the more you think of it.. the more the damn thing tickles.
  6. >after a long while of dealing with the torturous tickling a lab coated man walks around the various pods, staring at the calenders on each of them for a moment before pressing the entering a code on the padlock and releasing the other prisoners from their pods
  7. >you wait eagerly as he goes around the circular room and finally reaches your pod, a little startled that you are awake, he hastily releases you.
  8. >you watch as the door slides upwards, pouring all of the green goo out, causing you to flop out like a dead fish.
  9. >you yank the breathing tube out, staring at the grate under the pod as the last of the goo drips between the cracks.
  10. >you gather the strength to stand up, uncaring that you are nude, as all of the crumpled heaps of people in the room are as well
  11. >slowly it dawns on you that you are the only conscious one
  12. >it comes to your attention that the man in front of you lip's are moving, so you push your pinkie fingers in your ears and fish out the goo
  13. "repeat that, sir?"
  14. >you are a little shocked with yourself as you say sir involuntarily
  15. >"oh good, for a second there i thought you had gone deaf, as is the case with 1.8% of our subjects"
  16. >wellshit.png
  17. "so.. why am i conscious and they aren't?" you point to the people laying just outside their pods
  18. >"looks like you've got an aptitude for whatever the program was pumping into your brain, so you finished early"
  19. >you nod, what he's saying seeming to make decent sense
  20. >"i'm number one!" your ego-inflated brain shouts out inside your head
  21. "so what now?"
  22. >"go to the quartermaster and get issued some clothes, and get yourself some chow, or your stomach might go into atrophy from not having any real food being put into it for 2 years"
  23. "well thanks an- WAIT, TWO YEARS?"
  24. >"yep, it takes two years for the entire program to be plugged into your brain, but the time investment usual pays for itself as you'll undoubtedly find out"
  25. >you simply nod, dumbstruck by what he had said
  26. "don't guards have to escort me if i want to go somewhere?"
  27. >he chuckles for a moment, then looks you in the eye, realizing you are serious he laughs harder
  28. >"j-just go, you'll find out soon enough why we won't need them!" he says in between fits of laughter.
  29. >you want to punch him in the face, but somehow the urges disappears, being replaced by the thought train "he's an officer, don't do it."
  30. >why brain? because neural resocialization, thats why.
  31. >oh god what did they do to me?
  32. >"stuff" your smartass of a brain replies back
  33. >a thought pops into your head "Now shake his hand and walk away"|
  34. >you shake his hand walk down out the steel door and into the plain hallways of the facility, following the signs and directions that read "quartermaster"
  35. ...
  36. >3 days later
  37. ...
  38. >you later find out that the "facility" you are in is actually a spaceship. And a huge one at that, 3 miles long and a half mile wide
  39. >you also find out that your specific program taught you how to be a spacecraft pilot in addition to the regular weapons and powered combat armor training.
  40. >You were also told you may develop a detached personality. One that may manifest as you talking to your brain.
  41. >"THATS MEEEEEE" your brain shouts
  42. >shutitfaggot.jpg
  43. >okay.jpg
  44. >Another thing you learn is that you will be leaving soon to go study a distant planet in an uncharted part of the universe.
  45. >a couple moments ago find out that by "leaving soon" they mean within the next 15 minutes.
  46. >fuckmylife.gif
  47. >after getting suited up in a strange green flight suit you are shuffled out to what seems to be a hanger by the man who both put you in the pod and freed you from it.
  48. >he goes on about he has a Ph.D. in engineering or something
  49. >the fucks you give are less then or equal to zero
  50. >you are far to busy worrying about what awful planet they will be sending you to.
  51. >what strange things await
  52. >slowly your fucks are being given
  53. >more fucks when you are pushed into the cockpit of a small space craft not much bigger then a large bathroom
  54. >"you will be briefed by the ship as you are in flight, it will awaken you when are with 20 lightyears of the planet" the mans voice beeps through the intercom in front of the plexiglass covered cockpit.
  55. "you mean i will be asleep for the whole trip?"
  56. >"let me ask you this, do you want to be awake, crammed in the front of a small ship with nothing to do for the next three years as you fly over there?"
  57. "no" you respond dryly
  58. >"then there is your answer, dumbass"
  59. >eatadicknigga.gif
  60. "so what do you need me for if this thing flies for me?"
  61. >you notice people clearing the hanger as the ship moves to a large blastdoor
  62. >"to land it and research"
  63. "well how would i know how to do either of those things?"
  64. >you can hear the panic in your voice
  65. >"Trust me, you will when it comes time to do so, good luck."
  66. >you are about to reply but are interrupted by a loud scrapping noise, looking forward you see the blast door opening to reveal desolate space
  67. >you hear the ships thrusters fire up and launch you forward, the speed forces you to the back of the seat, you see the light of the stars become streaks as you speed up
  68. >"Sedation systems engaging" a robotic female voice says quietly
  69. >before you pass out, you realize that the only thing you have to down for the last 2 years is sleep, wake up for 3 days, get on a space craft and now your going to sleep again.
  70. >you sincerly hope this isn't the pattern that your life is going to fall into.
  71. [Spoiler] Because that would sucks major dick, like.. at least 12 pounds of dick [spoiler]
