THESE LINES ARE SO GREAT!!! first line is a reference to 'Sayonara Memories' and the whole theme of looking back, being alone etc
then you have contrast-- if you translate literally its 'goodbye to yesterday, which you spent alone/towards the brilliant path/connected to tomorrow' but ofc i had to restructure bc englisH... BUT YEAH there's some contrast with yesterday/tomorrow and past/present... I LOVE THIS???? I LOVE KOKORO I LOVE THE NEW MEMBERS TOO LUNA IS SO BEAUTIFULllll
briefly debated "say goodbye to those lonely yesterdays/and face the brilliant path connecting us to tomorrow" but i feel like that's a little awkward? hence why i opted for past/future contrasting vs yesterday/tomorrow \\o///
fun fact my translation for 振りむいて手を振るのよ is a little redundant bc 'turn around' and 'look back' are the same thing but i feel like just 'look back' wasnt enough... like kokoro's singing is kind of both literal and metaphorical aka physically turning around and waving HASTA LA VISTA U LONELY kIDDO but also metaphorically looking back on and saying goodbye/moving on from those days he spent alone in the past... o(--<
夢じゃない/嘘じゃない - went with the  literal translation bc kinda hard to put in one that's faithful to the text but retains feeling, but ANYWAYS the 'it's not a lie' part works in conjunction with the 'it's not a dream' line to give more of a 'this isn't just a dream, it's real'
I'm really tempted to just sub in the opposite aka 'this is the truth/this is real' but im always afraID of deviating too far frm the original o(--<
SORRY IF THE ALL THE ENGLISH/HAPPY BIRTHDAYS dont quite connect well to the text... Believe Me It's like that in the original aH..
