  3.
  4. >You sit in your room at night, watching the latest of “Two and a Half Alraunes”
  5. >When you hear something rustling in the bushes outside your window
  6. >You look out the window, and see a figure approaching the window to your room
  7. >Knowing what might await you if you don’t do something, you run to the window to try and lock it shut
  8. >But before you do, the figure already has reached the glass separating you and her from what is most likely imminent pelvisceration
  9. >You start to panic before noticing that the light from your room shines on the face of this random intruder, revealing what looks like a dark-skinned boy
  10. >A very handsome looking boy
  11. >Or so you would think, until you hear the muffled effeminate voice coming from behind the glass
  12. >”Anon, open up, it’s me!”
  13. >You knew it was her
  14. >Rei, the Pharaoh who made you the target of her affections for some time now
  15. >That is, despite her father’s warnings about dating common peasants
  16. >You opened the window, helping her into your room before closing and locking the window shut
  17. >You almost close the window on her cobra as it manages to slip in as well
  18. >In the light, you can see her better, wearing formal, boyish clothing
  19. >She even went so far as to buy a hat to hide her long hair
  20. “Rei, what’s the sudden visit for,” you ask, “And the clothes...I’ve never seen you wear clothes like that.”
  21. >”Oh, these?” she replies, spinning around so you can get a good look
  22. >”I often where this clothing when I need to be alone out of the mansion.”
  23. >So she snuck out without her father’s permission
  24. >To go to a boy’s house, of all places
  25. >Oh... goodie...
  26.
  27. “Y-You snuck out of the house!?” you ask with some panic
  28. >”Do not worry, Anon. I simply wish for you to accompany me to the city,” she tells you
  29. >”This is what you call a ‘date,’ yes? This manner of courting?”
  30. >She wants you to take her on a date
  31. “But on such short notice…?”
  32. >You think to maybe turn her down, but taking a look at her reminds you that she did apparently walk all this way to come see you
  33. >And you can’t very well turn her down. Making her walk back home alone after telling her no would be in poor form
  34. >Not to mention that frown she starts to put on at your response is unbearable
  35. “I suppose I’ll grab my things.”
  36. >You collect a few belongings to take with you on this excursion
  37. >Keeping in mind to record the rest of your show before you leave
  38.
  39. ...
  40.
  41. >”Oh, what a joyous occasion! Simply wonderful,” she says as she twirls and spins merrily while the two of you walk towards town
  42. “Try not to get lost when we get there,” you tell her. “I wouldn't want your dad to murder me for losing you, please.”
  43. >That is...along with already taking her out after she snuck out
  44. >”But it feels so freeing to be outside. It is...how you would say, very ‘cramped,’ to remain in the mansion for so long.”
  45. >”And I truly am grateful that you chose to accompany me, Anon,” she says, grabbing a hold of your arm
  46. >Just in time for a passing man to give the two of you a quick once-over, especially Rei and her boyish choice of attire
  47. >Before mumbling to himself, “Fuckin’ Alps, I tell you.”
  48. >You hear this, and it makes your face burn red in embarrassment
  49. >Of course, Rei is completely oblivious to it, and only continues to hold onto you while indulging in her own happiness
  50. >You can only guess she must have really wanted to do this with you for some time
  51.
  52. >Reaching the outskirts of the city, you decide to try and find somewhere to take her
  53. >Luckily, close to the riverbank is an entertainment plaza, so there’s plenty to do
  54. >Just across the river is the skyline to the downtown district
  55. >Rei asks if you plan on taking her there, but with all of the kinds of MGs you hear are living there, you think of all of the things that could possibly go wrong
  56. >You suggest the two of you visit some other time, preferably at daytime
  57. >You take her instead to an eatery near the river
  58. >Sitting at a table outside to get a good view
  59. >When it came time, you settle on a cheap pasta, while she ordered a full lobster and a small plate of oysters on a half shell
  60. >Apparently even out on the town, she knows how to eat like a queen
  61. >You’re not sure if you should be surprised by this, but it is a sight to see
  62. >She even offers you some of her food, but you can’t help but decline
  63. >Mostly out of politeness—it’d be rude to take food from your date, you convince yourself
  64. >But it looks wonderful though
  65. >Rei giggles as you decline and calls the waiter over
  66. >”Another lobster for my friend here, if you’d be so kind,” she says.
  67. >You hesitantly try to tell her it’s alright, but she insists she repay you for accompanying her in the first place
  68. >And, oh, when it comes…
  69. >Drizzled ever so lightly with melted butter…
  70. >You just can’t refuse
  71. >Time to indulge
  72.
  73. >The two of you have a fine feast together, with you enjoying her company as much as she enjoys yours
  74. >She talks with you about many things, like her past homeschooling, harmless gossip and stories about her various family servants and caretakers, and of her overprotective father
  75. >The reason she snuck out was most likely because he never lets her go out by herself
  76. >Tonight, the two of them had an argument over this exact kind of thing
  77. >Afterwards her mother helped her sneak out to explore by herself, her only condition being that Rei go with a friend of hers
  78. >”But I do not have many friends yet,” she said to you as she told you this story
  79. >”The only one I wished to accompany me was you.”
  80. >Coming from her, those words are flattering
  81. >You actually look away, nervous as to what to say to it
  82. “I mean, after hearing you say all that, I guess I couldn't just take you back, can I?”
  83. >She’s delighted by your words, and her glowing smile shows it
  84. >Her cobra even plops its head on yours from behind your seat
  85. >”Hehe…even Slithers is grateful,” Rei tells you
  86. >”I share the sentiment,” she adds
  87. >You tell her not to fret over it, and suggest the two of you see a movie together first before taking her home
  88. >”Yes! I would be delighted to.”
  89. >You give another glance out to the beautiful river before the two of you take your leave
  90. >Strange, that you felt you saw something out on the river when you looked earlier
  91. >But you don’t worry about it too much, it was probably floating garbage
  92. >Rei puts down three fifties as you leave, most likely enough to cover the bill and then some
  93. >You admit, you feel a bit outdone, but if you can show her a good time, it shouldn't matter to her
  94. >So you tell yourself
