(07:12:46) RussianBlue: Heh! It would have to be this one, the first - but the others are great as well
(07:12:59) Cheeseness: Did you work on them all?
(07:13:39) RussianBlue: Mainly this one - I think I did some on the 2nd as well
(07:14:09) RussianBlue: In later titles the studio had gotten big enough that we were doing multiple titles at once
(07:14:28) RussianBlue: so I was working on things like Pajama Sam
(07:14:40) Cheeseness: Which PJ Sam titles did you work on?
(07:15:50) RussianBlue: All of them to some degree - I was the animation lead on You Are What You Eat though
(07:16:45) RussianBlue: So I had to oversee and organize all the hand-drawn character animation on that one
(07:16:51) Cheeseness: Oh nice :)
(07:17:07) RussianBlue: It was a lot of frames!
(07:17:52) RussianBlue: You probably know this, but all the character animation was done old-school style, on paper
(07:18:03) Cheeseness: I didn't discover any of Humongous' games until the past year or two. I wish I had've been aware of them when they came out. All the characters are so endearing
(07:18:10) RussianBlue: then scanned in and inked and painted digitally, one frame at a time
(07:18:41) Cheeseness: I recall Ron talking about that
(07:18:43) RussianBlue: We spent a lot of time and energy on character development
(07:19:15) RussianBlue: We would cover walls with character concepts
(07:20:20) Cheeseness: Are there any characters you particularly enjoyed working on?
(07:20:43) Permafry_42: i love her mugshots
(07:21:12) RussianBlue: Russian Blue, actually - she was my design, and I got to animate her
(07:21:37) Cheeseness: :D
(07:21:55) RussianBlue: I loved coming up with a hot feline adversary for Spy Fox :)
(07:22:02) Syd: Were there any character concepts you liked but didn't make it into the final game?
(07:22:56) RussianBlue: Not that I recall - I think we made a point of getting all the best ones in

(07:24:18) Syd: Didn't Jeremy Soule compose for this game? I know he made the music for a lot of HE games.

(07:25:00) Cheeseness: How did the art and animation process evolve over time at Humongous? Did you eventually move to a more digital workflow or stick with hand drawing each frame and then scanning and digitising?
