  20. The purpose of this article is to demonstrate and measure Bell states as well as to show that quantum mechanics can violate predictions made by local and realistic enhancements of quantum theory. The experimental setup we use is the creation of entangled photon pairs by means of Spontaneous Parametric Downconversion (SPDC) and the inequality that we plan to violate is the CHSH-inequality as it suits very well to this setup. Our conclusion is that although we showed a violation of the local-realistic predictions, the experimental setup itself allows too many loopholes to outrule any local-realistic theories with certainty.
