  2. [18:40:59] <~Aeros> its a sunday morning in New Ferry City. last night, Katrina fought against her very first youma, gaining her one (1) oblivion seed. conversely, Momo met Kirin, who asked her if she would become a magical girl.
  3. [18:41:39] <~Aeros> That morning, you awaken with small postit notes near your beds. they seem to be from kirin, asking each of you to meet at the West Park fountain.
  4. [18:42:21] <~Aeros> You aren't aware of each others existance as magical girls, but you might vaguely recognise each other from school.
  5. [18:43:14] <~Aeros> you two find yourselves sitting near each other by the fountain. there are several benches to sit on, and not many people out except for the occasional elderly couple or a jogger.
  6. [18:43:58] <~Aeros> (is this satisfactory?)
  7. [18:44:23] <Momo> (Just fine~)
  8. [18:44:23] <Katrina> (no Aeros i am disappoint)

  10. [18:44:26] <~Aeros> please describe yourselves, where you are sitting, what you are doing while waiting.
  11. [18:44:38] * Katrina sort of huddles in on herself, occasionally stealing glances at the sort-of-familiar looking girl near the fountain.
  12. [18:44:47] * Momo would have made her way oh-so-cautiously there to begin with, WITH her trusty laptop in tow of course. She'd have spent their time together alone, typing happily at the decrepid old creature.
  13. [18:45:55] * Momo steals a few glances to the side as well, though in a totally different direction, following up each time with a relieved sigh.
  14. [18:46:37] <Katrina> (what time of year?)
  15. [18:46:56] <~Aeros> soon, you see him; he seems to walk out of nowhere from atop the fountain's pool wall. a few pidgeons fly away as he walks towards the general area you two are.
  16. [18:47:04] <~Aeros> spring, close to summer.
  17. [18:47:06] * Katrina has long auburn hair and gray eyes - not that you can really tell, between letting her hair obscure her face and constantly staring at her shoes. She has a summder dress one with a light jacket over it.
  18. [18:48:47] * Momo may have been a bit more noticeable, if not for her shutting off the laptop and jumping up it was more along the lines of her ridiculously mismatched outfit, blue-and-violet coat not only serving only to uglify her thick brown braid but also to make clear she didn't realize it was summer, apparently.
  19. [18:49:43] <~Aeros> Kirin is mostly the same as usual, black, almost blue, fur coat, with a long tail that seems to defy gravity and locomotion.
  20. [18:50:01] * Katrina glances around to see if anyone else seems to notice him.
  21. [18:50:20] <~Aeros> it however, has five eyes, two on the left, three on the right.
  22. [18:50:27] <~Aeros> compared to when you last saw it, it had four.
  23. [18:50:31] * Momo made herself all too clear as that someone, bending over to the creature and waiting for him to come closer.
  24. [18:50:42] <~Aeros> anyone who looks at it doesn't seem to really mind it much, despite how surreal it looks.
  25. [18:51:12] <~Aeros> It comes up to Momo, smiling. then it looks over at Katrina.
  26. [18:51:27] * Katrina goes over towards Kirin and the other girl, rubbing her hands nervously.
  27. [18:52:34] <Momo> "Mornin'!" Maybe not loudly enough to alert anyone ELSE nearby, she'd extend her hand toward the creature and attempt to brush a hand through its fur.
  28. [18:53:06] <~Aeros> It smiles, "Heere you both are~" It doesn't really seem to care how you touch it.
  29. [18:53:13] <Katrina> "G-good morning."
  30. [18:53:57] <~Aeros> "Do youu twoo happen to knoow each other~?" It looks between the two girls.
  31. [18:54:19] * Momo was figuring that out all too well, setting her laptop safely on the bench and scooping up the animal in her arms-- that was followed up with a headshake.
  32. [18:54:39] * Katrina shakes her head. "But I think I've seen you at school...?"
  33. [18:55:31] <Momo> "O-Oh, well, uh.." Cough COUGH. ".. Hi." Momo's attention was more focused on getting Kirin's fur smoothed out.
  34. [18:56:24] <~Aeros> "Oh dear~"
  35. [18:56:39] <~Aeros> "Well, I suppose there is no helping iiit~"
  36. [18:56:55] <Katrina> "Helping what?"
  37. [18:57:01] <~Aeros> It gets on Momo's shoulder, "You two will be wooorking together from now oon~"
  38. [18:57:36] <Katrina> "O-oh." Katrina glances at Momo. "You're a magical girl too?"
  39. [18:57:36] * Momo let out a silence, staring blankly at Katrina for a second. ".. Wait, don't tell me--"
  40. [18:57:46] * Katrina blushes.
  41. [18:57:47] <~Aeros> Kirin Smiles.
  42. [18:58:20] <Momo> "H-Hey!" Removing the monster from her shoulder, she held it up with both hands, staring. "I thought you weren't gonna tell anyone!"
  43. [18:58:36] <~Aeros> "II never promised thaaat~"
  44. [18:58:52] <~Aeros> "Only not to teell the other three~"
  45. [18:59:05] <~Aeros> "Twooo nooow~"
  46. [18:59:11] <Katrina> "Two?"
  47. [18:59:23] <~Aeros> "Nevermind~" It looks at the two girls.
  48. [18:59:46] <~Aeros> It looks at Katrina, "Youu have one seed, right~?"
  49. [19:00:04] * Momo lets the creature down with a sigh, perhaps allowing it to crawl back on her shoulder. The sigh was a defeated one if nothing else.
  50. [19:00:05] * Katrina nods.
  51. [19:00:34] <~Aeros> "This girls is newwww~ Like yooou~"
  52. [19:00:41] <~Aeros> It gestures? at momo
  53. [19:01:42] <Katrina> "Really?"
  54. [19:01:56] <Katrina> "I just took the contract a few days ago msyelf..."
  55. [19:02:19] <~Aeros> "I expect you two to get alooong~"
  56. [19:02:25] <~Aeros> "Since you are alll alooone~"
  57. [19:02:32] * Momo shows obvious discomfort at the attention, shooting a glance over to the laptop. "Yeah, I'm M-- actually." Another throat-clearing, with as much attempted coolness to it as possible. "Y'can call me Arc, 'kay?" Roughly, a hand was shot out.

  59. [19:03:10] <~Aeros> its five eyes narrow as she says that, its still smiling though.
  60. [19:03:55] <~Aeros> "Deep in the park woods is a Youma~"
  61. [19:04:03] <~Aeros> "You should go fight it~"
  62. [19:04:54] * Katrina hesitantly reaches out, then makes a decision and shakes Momo's hand. "It's nice to meet you, Arc."
  63. [19:05:09] * Katrina flinches a little when the youma is mentioned.
  64. [19:05:30] <Katrina> "I'm Katrina."
  65. [19:06:10] * Momo shivered. It really DID sound pretty cool. Releasing the group, she refocused her attention. "Does anyone else know 'bout it?"
  66. [19:06:50] <Katrina> "About what?"
  67. [19:07:45] <~Aeros> "Only if they've foound it before yooou~"
  68. [19:08:28] <Katrina> "I guess we have to take care of it..."
  69. [19:09:30] * Momo was already in the process of gathering her laptop and miscellaneous things... like the laptop. With a nod she'd set off.
  70. [19:09:43] <Katrina> "W-wait up!"
  71. [19:09:51] <~Aeros> It points you two wordlessly in the right direction with the tip of its tail, "Have fun~"
  72. [19:10:01] * Katrina hurries to catch up, stopping to wave back at Kirin.
  73. [19:10:14] <~Aeros> after you took your eyes off it, it was already gone
  74. [19:10:41] * Katrina sort of awkwardly puts her hand down, looks around again, then eeps and scurries off after Arc.
  75. [19:11:23] <~Aeros> --MEANWHILE--
  76. [19:11:32] <~Aeros> back at Ruby's new hideout.
  77. [19:11:49] <~Aeros> Ruby hears a scream coming from inside the hotel.
  78. [19:12:42] * Ruby shoots up in bed. She had been looking forward to sleeping in a bit, but that seems to have been cut short. She hops out of bed and goes looking for the source of the scream.
  79. [19:14:21] <~Aeros> tracking it down, She finds herself opening Karis' door, to find a strange man wearing karis' clothingwith a broken chair and glass shards everywhere from the broken mirror in the beaurough (spelling?)
  80. [19:14:50] <~Aeros> "This is! this is fucked!" He pulls at his short hair.
  81. [19:15:10] * Ruby warily approaches. "What... what happened?"
  82. [19:15:37] <~Aeros> "Its me Ruby! Its me! Oh god, why am I."
  83. [19:15:44] <~Aeros> "Kirin. He did this."
  84. [19:15:51] <~Aeros> "I'll kill him. I'll MURDER him!"
  85. [19:16:33] <Ruby> "Must've been. He's... he must be playing a trick on you. You know how he is."
  86. [19:16:49] <~Aeros> "Is there a proooblem~?" Kirin says from behind Ruby.
  87. [19:17:26] * Ruby steps from between Kirin and Karis, sure that she'll make good on her declaration, or at least try to.
  88. [19:18:11] <~Aeros> Karis does try to get past you, but stops, "Why? Why ruby?" He's in tears
  89. [19:18:36] <Ruby> "I... I don't know."
  90. [19:18:39] <~Aeros> He looks at Kirin, "Change me! Change me back! Ruby make him change me!"
  91. [19:19:26] <Ruby> "Kirin, please. She's done nothing to deserve this!"
  92. [19:19:40] <~Aeros> "It can't be helped~ I changed you once, I couldn't change you again even if I tried~"
  93. [19:19:51] <~Aeros> "Maybe a wish would change you back~"
  94. [19:20:37] <~Aeros> It looks at Ruby, "But He doesn't have anything to fear~ only magical girls that knew him as a she will find him odd~"
  95. [19:21:49] <~Aeros> "Check your texts again~"
  96. [19:22:08] <Ruby> "Karis, you may have to put your hope in that. You already lived through one change, right? What's one more? I still know you for you."
  97. [19:23:37] <~Aeros> "I...no! I hate men! I want to love you as a woman!" He shifts his eyes back and forth thinking, "No. he's right...seeds. I need seeds!"
  98. [19:24:47] <Ruby> "Yeah, just come on and we'll go back to hunting youma. The two of us together, we'll have those seeds gathered in no time!"
  99. [19:25:16] <~Aeros> "That will take...Just the two of us..." He pauses, "There. There are other magical girls out there, aren't there?" He looks to kirin, who nods smiling, and continues, "That way...will be faster!" He smiles a bit derangedly and looks at Ruby, "Don't worry, I promise I'll return." He strokes your cheek.
  100. [19:26:11] * Ruby shivers at the touch. "What are you planning?"
  101. [19:27:22] <~Aeros> He then goes over to a window, transforming, he looks a bit rediculous in his outfit, a bit androgynous, "I'll go! I'll go get seeds!" He then jumps out, a gust of air propelling him forward.
  102. [19:27:38] <~Aeros> Kirin tsks, "Poor boy~ can't even accept a favor~"
  103. [19:28:19] <Ruby> "Kirin, do you have any idea what he's doing? He seems demented."
  104. [19:28:41] <~Aeros> "Its nothing the magic has done. He is just inherently weak~"
  105. [19:28:52] <~Aeros> "Not like you~ you are strong~"
  106. [19:29:05] <~Aeros> .::3
  107. [19:30:09] * Ruby takes a second to flex and look at herself in one of the broken mirror shards. "Yeah that's true- wait, he got that look after you told him about the other magical girls. I think they may need some help soon, where are they?"
  108. [19:30:39] <~Aeros> "Oh~ I'm not supposed to tell~"
  109. [19:30:48] <~Aeros> "I will tell you they are where youma are~"
  110. [19:31:07] <~Aeros> "And that the youma by the beach has been taken care of~"
  111. [19:31:52] <Ruby> "Should've figured... so they'll be dealing with a youma and Karis. Guess I'm doing your bidding again, Kirin."
  112. [19:32:34] <~Aeros> "Mmm~" it smiles, thinking. "Well~ There have been youma in the West Park from time to time~"
  113. [19:33:17] <~Aeros> "One last thing~ This building has been focused to you now~"
  114. [19:33:26] <Ruby> "What does that mean?"
  115. [19:33:46] <~Aeros> "It means no nonmagicals will dare enter~"
  116. [19:33:56] <~Aeros> "As long as you are alive, that is~"
  117. [19:34:23] <~Aeros> "Uuuu...speaking of alive~ Shall I get rid of all those dolls in the upper floors for you~?"
  118. [19:34:43] <Ruby> "Is there any chance of them reanimating?"
  119. [19:35:16] <~Aeros> "Who knows~ This place will begin to conform to your whims soon enough. Who knows what lurks in your subconcious~"
  120. [19:36:15] <Ruby> "Then leave them, it'll be interesting to see what shakes out of this place. Besides, you'll be busy looking over my shoulder over at West Park, huh?"
  121. [19:37:43] <~Aeros> "~" It makes a sound of amusement, neither admitting nor confirming, "Have fun~" it walks out of the door and out of your vision, vanishing.
  122. [19:38:25] <~Aeros> ALRIGHT SO
  123. [19:38:28] <~Aeros> Momo and Katrina.
  124. [19:38:37] <Momo> (Are still untransformed?)
  125. [19:38:45] <~Aeros> only if you want to be
  126. [19:38:55] <~Aeros> you have headed into the deeper part of the park, less paved trails, more trees.
  127. [19:40:36] <~Aeros> if you transform, please say a little transformation blurb describing your new outfit. it doesn't have to be THAT long
  128. [19:40:40] * Momo would take this time to set the electronic device in a safe place, perhaps behind a tree or somesuch. Looking to her supposed partner she'd nod, adjusting her glasses and beginning to focus. "Promise y'won't tell anyone, 'kay?"
  129. [19:40:55] <Momo> (I'M SORRY ALREADY)
  130. [19:40:57] * Katrina gives a firm nod. "I won't tell."
  131. [19:41:07] <~Aeros> (about what :I)
  132. [19:41:18] <Momo> (now I'm just taking preemptive jabs at myself)
  133. [19:41:36] <~Aeros> (that was more a jab at when i first started this and people spent like 5-9 minutes working on a transformation :B)

  136. [19:42:24] <Ruby> (It was more like 5 minutes deciding whether we should, and 2 actually writing :V)

[19:43:33] * Momo would have affirmed Katrina's trust well enough to extend her right hand, metallic shards converging onto it from seemingly nowhere-- with it, the entire forest disappeared and a sea of binary awaited the lone girl as she smiled a wicked smile, glasses sliding themselves off her face and replacing themselves with a silver mask with a sort of visor on it, making mechanical noises along the way.
  140. [19:45:11] <Momo> Relaxing her arms, the ribbon keeping her thick braid tied would slide off and vanish, shards converging to her legs in the same way to form 'greaves' to accent the gauntlet. Moving into the fetal position, 'Arc' had her outfit morph itself into a silver camisole with black straps, one of which slid down her shoulder slightly. Smile fading, the gauntlet'd hand reached out and gripped an object.
  141. [19:46:05] <Momo> Standing up she'd swing said object - a boomerang the size of her entire body, in fact - and reach for something attached to it, pulling it back and causing the entire weapon to rev like a chainsaw. And before she knew it, she was in the woods again. "Arc.. activated."
  142. [19:46:30] * Katrina stares. "Wow... Oh! I guess I should change too..."
  143. [19:47:32] <~Aeros> the boomerang is quite loud while its running, the serrated teeth whirring on one end of the massive weapon.
  144. [19:48:19] * Katrina closes her eyes, and holds her hands in front of her. She raises one above her head, and what can only be described as a black hole of nothingingness surrounded by a purple halo appears. She sweeps it down across her body, leaving her appearance and clothing changed as it passes.
  145. [19:49:37] * Katrina then reaches down into the hole, and with some effort pulls out a large hammer with a silver haft and a head made of crystal glowing with violet-white energy. When she opens her eyes again, that have become a vibrant violet color.
  146. [19:51:02] * Katrina 's hair has also turned purple, with strands of black and silver-white shot all through it.
  147. [19:51:58] <~Aeros> anyway, you two find yourselves in the woods, assuming you turn the chainsaw part off, you can hear the flight and skittering of various creatures.
  148. [19:52:08] * Katrina grips the hammer in both hands, smiling, but then looks around nervously. "Is there really a youma around...?"
  149. [19:52:55] * Arc obviously hit the killswitch-- or something along those lines. Letting the weapon down and raising a hand to her visor, she took a calm step forward. "I'll see what I can find."
  150. [19:53:09] <Arc> (Any chance of using scan to locate the youma~?)
  151. [19:53:56] <~Aeros> roll 2d6+magic

  158. [19:55:38] <Arc> "This way." Leaping in the 'direction' while dragging the currently-lifeless weapon behind, Mo- er, Arc would attempt to make her way to it.
  159. [19:56:30] * Katrina leaps after her, seeming to sail almost weightlessly.

  161. [19:59:01] <~Aeros> you two head in the direction specified
  162. [20:00:39] <~Aeros> Soon, you get to a rather uneven terrain, with a small stream running through. There are vines draping all over the trees.
  163. [20:00:45] * Arc didn't go at anwhere near the same speed; if anything, Katrina would easily be able to catch up to her, as it became made more and more clear as time went on that her legwear was intended for holding a position moreso than moving it.
  164. [20:00:54] <~Aeros> Arc: your scanner doesn't seem sure which way exactly it wants you to go.
  165. [20:02:07] <Katrina> "Is this really a park? I mean, it's kind of... creepy back here."
  166. [20:02:18] * Arc would freeze, tapping the visor again. Again. Againagainagain. Her facial expression was impossibly stoic and weapon grasped more tightly, though that may not have said much as to what was happening.
  167. [20:03:43] <Arc> Her response wouldn't be much more than a shaking of her head, if even that. At least ONE of them wasn't so talkative.
  168. [20:05:15] * Katrina peers into the woods.
  169. [20:05:26] <~Aeros> Its quiet, you don't hear any chirping birds, or skittering squirrels.

  172. [20:06:15] <Arc> "Pay attention." Failing the scanning, Arc would take only a brief step forward before pausing to listen again for any sort of unnatural sounds-- sight wasn't going to help much.
  173. [20:06:28] <~Aeros> its silent, except for the running water.
  174. [20:07:05] * Katrina keeps looking around, tense, but starts to relax a little. "Maybe it went somewhere else?'
  175. [20:07:06] <~Aeros> you are standing near the gap in the stream; it seems shallow, but its also about five feet down; the stream must have been bigger a long time ago.
  176. [20:07:57] <Arc> The hand on the visor was let down. "No good." The heavily-costumed magical girl would analyze any way to cross the stream... or, perhaps some way to reflect anything nearby to help with that goal?
  177. [20:09:14] <~Aeros> strange vines drape from trees. they're each ended with a strange iris looking flower. WHen you look up, they seem to lead into the treetops, their origin unnoticeable.
  178. [20:09:50] <~Aeros> they look as if they could be used to cross, but who would use such weird looking vines?
  179. [20:10:18] <~Aeros> (They wont fall for this.jpg)
  180. [20:10:58] <Katrina> "I guess we could... sort of swing across with those vines?"
  181. [20:11:04] <Katrina> "Maybe?"
  182. [20:11:30] * Arc wouldn't. But... curiosity was something that was piqued, considering Mo- er, Arc found herself turning toward a good specimen of the vines and tapped her visor, entering information about every observation she had made over the past few seconds into her personal databank. That is, assuming something about them wasn't already there. Doubtful!
  183. [20:12:02] <Katrina> "Those flowers are kind of pretty, though, aren't they?" Katrina reaches up to touch one.
  184. [20:12:11] <Arc> "Wait-"
  185. [20:12:25] <Arc> (Anything scannable about these things that could've been gathered?)
  186. [20:12:45] <~Aeros> while arc was arguing with herself, Katrina touches the obvious trap
  187. [20:12:59] <~Aeros> and is grabbed, and attempted to be lifted into the treetop
  188. [20:13:07] * Katrina shrieks!
  189. [20:13:16] <Arc> "..." There goes that idea. VRRRRRRRR.
  190. [20:13:34] <~Aeros> Katrina: doing anything before combat starts?
  191. [20:13:39] <Arc> (Sure am glad to have a ranged weapon in times like these.)
  192. [20:13:59] * Katrina does not want to go into the trees, so she tries to see if making gravity hold her stronger might keep her on the ground.

  205. [20:17:36] <~Aeros> alright, time for battle. give me your stats in order, what are you using for attack, defense, and support?
  206. [20:17:41] <Arc> "I KNOW it's the youma."
  207. [20:17:48] <~Aeros> attack also acts as initiative

  211. [20:19:56] <~Aeros> the tentacles are coming at you, but its main body seems to be in the tree.

  214. [20:20:56] <~Aeros> its a big tree.
  215. [20:21:21] <Katrina> (how big? i was thinking of trying to bring down the tree)
  216. [20:22:01] <Arc> (You could even say it's a... Giant Tree.)
  217. [20:22:18] <~Aeros> like, big big.probably a meter in diameter, and probably several tens of feet tall
  218. [20:23:22] <Katrina> (would it be a maneuver to try and get up in the tree with its main body?)

Suddenly, the weapon stopped in its tracks and shot back the opposite direction, and again, and again, bouncing off invisible light like a massive sphere, striking it.

  702. [22:01:51] * Ruby turns toward Arc as well. "What the fuck are you talking about? As long as there are youma to hunt, we'll meet up, even if just by accident."

  705. [22:02:20] * Katrina gets up and holds out one of the seeds.
  706. [22:03:18] * Arc opened her mouth from its stoic position for the first time. "T-Thanks." Whoop, Momo was showing-- no matter, a turn back to Ruby. "T-Then I'll get to them first. You have no reason to be fighting-- go home."

  713. [22:06:14] * Arc pointed a finger at the athlete. "If we DO form a team, then what? If everybody collects seeds on their own nobody will have to fight." Ruby had to stop being a competitor, but words weren't going to get that out.

  715. [22:07:10] <~Aeros> it pauses then looks at Katrina, "if yooou want to go with herrr, thats fiiine~" it says, talking about ruby, before continuing to leave.
  716. [22:07:19] <Ruby> "I'm not- do you know how this works? We have to fight youma, then we divide seeds fairly. It's all part of being on a team."
  717. [22:07:29] * Katrina nods.
  718. [22:08:04] <~Aeros> It soons rounds a corner, or a bush, or somewhere, to leave your vision. it seems to be gone.
  719. [22:08:26] * Arc shuddered at Katrina's comment.. that wasn't a familiar feeling. "If the seeds run out, if youma stop appearing, what then? Would you be fine just handin' them over to somebody, even if you don't know what they'd be used for?"

  721. [22:09:29] * Katrina looks down. "But if you really needed them..."
  722. [22:10:31] <Ruby> "Who cares about the distant future where there are no youma? We've got plenty now, and if we're going to fight them we need each other, strange, unspoken vendettas aside."
  723. [22:10:35] <Arc> "That's stupid. Would you trust somebody even if they ended up destroying the world with it? Killing you?" Flinch.
  724. [22:10:55] <Katrina> "You wouldn't do that!"

  727. [22:13:10] <Ruby> "It's not my business what anyone does with their seeds. As long as they contribute to a fight, they'll be rewarded with bounty."

  738. [22:16:51] <Ruby> "In my short time as a magical girl I've seen five others come and go, and been within an inch of my life multiple times. They really are."

  743. [22:21:04] * Ruby holds out her phone so that Katrina can copy off her number. "And if it happens, call that Arc too. She could still help, even if she doesn't want to admit it."

She held up a shiny oblivion seed, admiring it. But with a hand outstretched to pet Kirin, she looked back at her screen.
