  1. "Twilight...what are you doing?"
  2. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  3. >It's been like this for all of two weeks
  4. >No evil spirits
  5. >No giant monsters
  6. >No huge toy-sale disasters that threaten to destroy Equestria
  7. >No friendship problems
  8. >Without that to keep you excited, your time's been withering away to mostly fapping and >rape
  9. >However, in between, you've actually been reading more
  10. >A natural consequence of being forced to live in Twilight's crystal castle
  11. >She finds or finishes a book, then insists you read it in what seem like a daily ritual now
  12. >And with all this reading, you couldn't help but thinking, "Why not share some stories with Twilight too?"
  13. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  14. >It was a 2pm on a Sunday afternoon
  15. >Never will you forget the time of your greatest mistake
  16. >In your personal room, an action/adventure book, "The Whirlwind Chronicles", was casually seated between your fingers and thumb
  17. >The over-the-top nature reminded you of your Chinese cartoons from home
  18. >Setting it down, you started to reminisce
  19. "...Fucking Weeaboos"
  20. >"Anon, what was that?"
  21. >Shit, you must have said that a little too loudly
  22. >"Are you swearing again?"
  23. >You regret the promise to work on not cussing
  24. >She walks up to the entrance of the room
  25. >Should have closed the door too
  26. >"Anon, you promised you'll stop saying bad words. What's going on?"
  27. "Nothing, I was just reading a book, and it got me thinking of people I used to know."
  28. >Her eyes light up
  29. >"Really? What book is it? Oh, oh, and who were you thinking off?"
  30. >You show her the cover
  31. >"The Whirlwind Chronicles? I personally think of those as classics."
  32. >Get better taste, Twilight.
  33. >"Did the story remind you of someone? Which part?"
  34. "Just the whole thing reminded me of some, uh, coworkers I knew. There was a type of show they really loved."
  35. >Her ear twitch
  36. >"A 'show'? I remember you telling me about those."
  37. >She trouts in and sits herself down
  38. >"What was the 'show'?"
  39. "It was this show about these things called 'ninjas', set in a fantasy world where the characters have super powers that were manipulated by combining their hands."
  40. >She makes her Twilight-is-interested noise
  41. >"What else?"
  42. "Uh, they were broken up into different villages. Fire, Wind, Water, Lightning, and Earth. Something like that."
  43. >You pick up your book, close it, and start to get up, stretching your arms high.
  44. "I don't remember everything about it, but they sure loved it."
  45. >You turn around to walk out the door
  46. >"Aw, Anon, tell me more. The human world is so fascinating! Look, I'll even have Spike write it all down so we can archive it. Spike co-!"
  47. >You wave your hands wildly, cutting her off
  48. "No, no, you don't have to do that."
  49. >Sihging, you plop yourself back down
  50. >Her eyes are pinned to you, with ears ready to record every word you say
  51. >Ok, let's see how much of this you can remember.
  52. >"Oh, and Anon,"
  53. "Yeah?"
  54. >"if you don't mind, could you start the story from the beginning?"
  55.
  56. "Twilight...what are you doing?"
  57. >"I'm using my sharingan! Look, after hours of work, I think I have it perfected!"
  58. >Her pupils are stained red and black, the intricate design proof of her effort
  59. >Turns out this spell of hers wasn't easy
  60. "Uh huh, but why are you showing me this?"
  61. >"I need you to tell me if they look like they do in Naruto. I've taken extensive notes and made sure they look as accurate as possible."
  62. >Her hoof points at you
  63. >"But I need you to verify."
  64. >Your eyes stare at her blankly
  65. >You just woke up
  66. >It's too early for this
  67. "Twilight, can we do this later? I'm still groggy."
  68. >"Just tell me, please. Do they look accurate?"
  69. >A groan drapes from your mouth
  70. "Yes, yes, they do. They look as close as I remember them."
  71. >"Really?"
  72. >You're actually being honest. It's no surprise, though, seeing as she worked so hard on them
  73. "I'm serious, you did a good job."
  74. >She lets out a quite "yes", swinging her hoof, and walks off
  75. >Glad that's over
  76. >You should have known Twilight was a mega weeb in waiting
  77. >Whatever, it time to get some breakfast
  78. >Before you can even grab some cereal, she runs back into the dining room
  79. >"Anon, I forgot,"
  80. >Oh, shit, what now
  81. >"after you finish eating, we need to go Rarity's."
  82. "'We...?"
  83. "Yes, I need you to look at something."
  84.
  85. >KNOCK KNOCK
  86. >"Yeeeeeeees~, who is it?"
  87. >Rarity's voice carries itself through the boutique, bouncing lively off every wall
  88. >"Rarity, it's Twilight!"
  89. >Dress horse's heart slams against her puffy chest
  90. >"O-o-oh, right, coming!"
  91. >Reluctantly, she forces herself to the door and slides it open, inch by inch adding on more regret
  92. >Before her stood a beaming sharingan Twilight and a grumpy, slouching anonymous
  93. >"Hello, Anon."
  94. "Ehhh."
  95. >"And...Twilight!"
  96. >Twilight bounces in, momentarily adopting the motor mechanics of Pinkie
  97. >You, on the other hand, nearly fall, tripping over your still tired body
  98. >Why are you here
  99. >"Rarity, do you have it ready! Oh, I can't wait!"
  100. >No one seemed to notice your klutz
  101. >"Darling, I do, but...are you SURE you want it? I mean, it is HARDLY my best work, and...what in Equestria's name is wrong with your eyes?"
  102. >Twilight whips around for effect, pointing to her pupils
  103. >"These are my sharingan. Pretty cool, huh?"
  104. >Rarity forces her head to nod
  105. >"Very cool, Deary..."
  106. >"Also, of course, I do! And thank you for putting your time aside to stitch it! I've been wanting one for what seems like forever. Eee, I'm so excited!"
  107. >"Yes, I'm sure you are. Um...follow me then."
  108. >You and Twiggles are led to a large, dark room in the back of the shop
  109. >Even with darkness as thick as ink, Rarity turns on the light, and the tiny bulb, hanging from the ceiling, cuts through it all
  110. >Then, the source of her nerves are revealed
  111. >Behold, in the corner is a cloak, black with red clouds outlined in white
  112. >Twilight you fucking didn't
  113. >With lightning speed, Purple nearly rams herself into the manikin
  114. >She did
  115. >"Rarity, it's perfect!"
  116. >With the eyes of a hawk, she further scans it with machine accuracy
  117. >"You got all the details right, as far as I can tell. Anon!"
  118. >Holy shit
  119. >"Does this look like it does in Naruto?"
  120. >Twilight, why
  121. >Holding back a groan, you push yourself over to the cloak.
  122. >It looks close enough, but how are you supposed to remember every detail
  123. "Yeah, sure, looks like it. As close as I can recall."
  124. >"Oh, thank you, Rarity!"
  125. >Twilight throws herself around and embraces her friend
  126. >You're welcome, Twilight
  127. >It's moments like this that tempt you with the idea of actually getting a job, instead of just helping out this nerd
  128. >Thanks, Celestia
  129. >"Find a job or help out with Twilight," she said
  130. >Bah
  131. >"Oh, yes, you are very welcome. Now, Darling..."
  132. >Rarity gently forces Twi off of her
  133. >"Yeah?"
  134. >"Why don't I fold and bag this up nice and tight for you."
  135. >"There's no need for that."
  136. >Her eye twitches
  137. >"What...?"
  138. >"Because I'm going to wear this right now!"
  139. >Now your heart slams against your chest
  140. "Uh...Twilight. Are you sure?"
  141. >Rarity interjects
  142. >"Twilight, I...haven't even washed it yet."
  143. >"That's fine. I'll have Spike or Anon wash it when we get home."
  144. >"But, uh, Twilight, you see-"
  145. >Twilight giggles
  146. >"Oh, Rarity, I know you artists can get so critical of your own work, but I know everypony's going to love it!"
  147. >Fancy horse lets loose a nervous laugh, and dashes to the other corner littered with supplies to find some kind of a bag
  148. >"D-deary, in my professional opinion, I think-"
  149. >Too late
  150. >Twilight already has the cloak on
  151. >"It even feels like I imagined."
  152. >She rotates her head around, eyes wide open, entertaining her fantasy
  153. >Breaking her thoughts, Twi runs over to you
  154. >"Anon, feel it!"
  155. >You glide your hand across her back
  156. >Is rougher than you predicted. You're curious as to what Rarity used to make it
  157. >You're also curious how well it burns
  158. >"Pretty cool, huh?"
  159. "Uhhhhhh"
  160. >"But, come on, let's go home and show Spike!"
  161. >Swinging open the front door, Twilight sprints through the boutique and out into the sun, a loud "thank you" reverberating in her place
  162. >Rarity whimpers, then shoots a glare at you
  163. >"Anon, I know this is somehow your fault!"
  164. "Me? I'm not the one telling Twilight to be a massive sperg."
  165. >"But look at-"
  166. >"Anon! Are you coming?"
  167. >Being stuck arguing with Rarity, or being smothered in second hand embarrassment as Twilight convinces herself she's joined the Akatsuki
  168. >Both are bad
  169. "Yeah! Just a sec!"
  170. >"Anonymous, I'm not done with-!"
  171. >You're already gone
  172.
  173. >The main doors to the castle fly open, propelling Spike, who was conveniently standing behind, across the hall
  174. >"Spike, Spike! Look! Rarity finished it!"
  175. >You, huffing and puffing, stumble in
  176. >How is she still this in shape after cooping herself up all day?
  177. >Or maybe you're just that lazy
  178. >"Ugh...Twi, what's going on?"
  179. >Purple runs over and freezes in front of the still down Spike, her eyes locked on him like missiles
  180. >"Obsessed with Organization, obsessed with the clan, obsessed with ourselves."
  181. >"...uh, Twi?"
  182. >"A worthless compulsion that enslaves us and limits our capabilities, leading us to fear what we don't understand."
  183. >"What are you doing?"
  184. >"TSUKUYOMI"
  185. >You begin to think she actually used it
  186. >Time has slowed to a miserable crawl
  187. >Spike stares blankly as Twilight backs off
  188. >"Uhg, that "tsu" sound is so hard to make sometimes. What are you doing on the floor, anyway?"
  189. >"Well, when you opened the door you-"
  190. >"Oh, just a minute, Spike. Before I forget, Anon"
  191. >She removes the cloak and levitates over it to you
  192. >"Can you go wash this for me?"
  193. >You think about volunforcing the comedic punching bag, but this is an opportunity to get away from Ms. Cringe
  194. "Sure, I'm on it."
  195. >After losing a couple more minutes of your life wandering around, you finally find the laundry room
  196. >Spike is typically the laundry boy, so you're not used to going here
  197. >Upon stepping in, a large, metal bucket is below you, holding a washboard that's slanted downward to accommodate the light angle of the floor
  198. >There is still some fairly clean looking, left over soapy water
  199. >Spike, you little shit, you're supposed to empty this
  200. "Oh well"
  201. >You get on your knees and drop Rarity's greatest mistake into the water
  202. >Too bad this scrubbing won't wash away your own past mistake
  203. >But how were you supposed to know she'd fall in love with the anime?
  204. >Sure, you've seen Twilight nerd out over books and stories
  205. >But, really, when is she not?
  206. >Regardless, she's the Princess of Friendship
  207. >A relatively dark story like Naruto should have been a little too much for her
  208. >Equestian literature rarely explores subjects like death and hatred to such a degree
  209. >You thought that'd be enough of a barrier between her and acting like a dude who just figured for the first time that touching himself feels good
  210. >You guess it's the whole human world aspect that pulled her in
  211. >Maybe she secretly loves that kind of genre
  212. >Not that rattling around all these details will undo anything
  213. >You turned Twilight into a weeb
  214. >This is the future you chose
  215. "I think this is clean enough."
  216. >You remove the cloak and take a good look
  217. "Clean enough for me. No where do I..."
  218. >Above you is a long, crystal clothesrod, like a shiny pull-up bar that stretches from one wall to the other
  219. >Normally, Spike has to use a stepping stool to hook on the clothes, but being an upright human, you have to be careful not to bang your head
  220. >Being the lazy monkey you are, the cosplay is lackadaisically draped over
  221. "Eh, that probably doesn't need to be hooked on."
  222. >Now to dry it
  223. >You can't quite recall when, but, one day, Twilight went full DIY and build a giant, magic crystal dryer thingamajig
  224. >Boy, was she proud of herself
  225. >Normally, it's left in the corner with the laundry room window open, but it still takes a while to do its job
  226. >Why not move it closer?
  227. >And, so, you heave and ho, pushing the all-to-heavy block of rock under the cloak
  228. >Got dang it, this thing weighs a ton
  229. >Hopefully, Bookhorse didn't hear it screaming like a prison of war being dragged to its death
  230. >Anyway, with it now in position, you attempt to remember Twilight's lesson on how it works
  231. >...
  232. >Nah
  233. >All you know is to turn some knob on the front to activate it
  234. >You wrap Twilight's new child over the bar a couple times and turn the knob to near max
  235. "That should dry pretty fast"
  236. >Closing the door, you wander back to your room to grab your book
  237. >Gotta pass the time somehow
  238. >And, oops, how did you end up on your bed
  239. >Well, you'll go check back in 30 minutes
  240. >Twilight always said you should read more
  241. …
  242.
  243. >"ANONYMOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUS"
  244. >You jolt to life, exploding like a WW2 grenade, triggered from the distant sound of Twilight's scream
  245. "What the hell, why is she-
  246. >OH SHIT
  247. >THE LAUNDRY
  248. >You almost tornado out of your room, nearly tripping over yourself again
  249. >However, after only a few steps, you stop
  250. >Do you really want to go find and confront a pissed alicorn princess?
  251. >Nope
  252. >It's probably better to play dead
  253. >Back in bed you go
  254. >You close your eyes and pretend to be asleep, waiting for the coming nerdy shock wave
  255. >Better quickly prep an excuse for why this is Spike's fault in some shape or form
  256. >It probably shrank so small that it could fit on the purple dragon, making him look like an edgy Christmas ornament
  257. >"ANONYMOUS"
  258. >Twilight's voice stabs your ears
  259. >Too late, she's already here
  260. >"Anon! Get up!"
  261. >You do your best to still seem groggy
  262. "Wh-what is it, Twilight?"
  263. >A piece of clothing is suddenly shoved in your face
  264. >It smells like crap
  265. >"Care to explain how THIS happened?"
  266. >Focusing your vision, it's met by a burnt Akatsuki uniform
  267. "Uhhhhhh..."
  268. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  269. HERE
  270. >Your heart's beating like a thrash metal band
  271. >"I can't believe you! I just got this! Was this intentional?"
  272. "What, no, of course not! What even happened?"
  273. >"Don't play dumb! I saw that you moved my crystal heater and under the cloak, nonetheless!"
  274. "I was just trying to dry it."
  275. >She stomps her hoof
  276. >"Anon, there's a reason why it was in the corner in the first place!"
  277. "Well, how was I supposed to know?"
  278. >Twilight's face scrunched hard
  279. >She may be pissed, but, shit, that was cute
  280. >"ANON, IT'S SO...JUST...HMMMM!"
  281. >Twilight, stop being so cute when you’re mad
  282. >Every muscle in your face is working to suppress a potentially dangerous smile
  283. >Suddenly, she stops, raises her foreleg to her chest, draws in a large breath, and pushes both out, letting each air molecule smack across your face
  284. >Turning around, still levitating the cloak, her body loosens
  285. >”I’m...I'm going to my library.”
  286. >Without another word, Twilight trots off, taking the tension with her
  287. >And you sit there, body sinking to the bed, unsure of how to feel or what to do
  288. >Seeing Twilight that mad is a once in a blue moon thing
  289. >She's usually just peeved at you for being somewhat of a dick
  290. >And while you can be kind of a jerk here and there, it doesn't mean you’re immune to regret
  291. >She loved that thing, albeit it autistic, like a fresh, 1st edition book, and you've probably been in the same horseshoes back on Earth
  292. >Maybe Rarity will make another one, even if it, to her, was a holocaust against fashion
  293. >Though, you're not on amazing terms
  294. >She might make you pay with money you don't have or with some other degrading and humiliating service
  295. >Shit
  296. >This is all Japan's fault
  297. >Should have just gotten Twilight into tentacle porn
  298. >You sigh
  299. >Maybe an apology will be better
  300. >That is, if she accepts it
  301. >Pushing off the bed, fighting what feels like three times the normal gravity, you take the slow walk down towards the library
  302. >Each step is building temptation in your mind to turn around, but the guilt of pussying out blocks the path back
  303. >Hopefully a giant, magical death laser isn't waiting for you
  304. >After living through what felt like hour-long seconds, you arrive at the door
  305. >With a final, deep breath, your fist knocks against the crystal
  306.
  307. "T-Twilight...you in there?"
  308. >Silence
  309. "Twilight?"
  310. >You gently knock a few more times
  311. >Nothing
  312. >Curious, you rest your ear against the it, listening for any hint of life
  313. >The faint sound of shuffling items brushes your eardrum
  314. >Well, someone's in there
  315. >Good enough
  316. >You try cracking them open with the care of a one-man bomb disposal squad, but they aren't budging
  317. >She actually locked them
  318. >Boy, she must be mad
  319. >No way you're going in there now
  320. >You better just give your speech where you stand
  321. "Hey, I'm assuming you're in there, so, uh, I’m sorry. I’m lazy and don't like to work, so, uh, I thought moving the crystal heater closer will speed things up. Yeah, it's pretty cringy, but I didn't want to burn the cloak. Well, I mean, I didn't intend to. So...yeah, sorry, again. Maybe we can go get you another one."
  322. >A minute passes, and not even so much as a peep
  323. >Apologizing to the mirror would have been just as effective
  324. >Ugh
  325. >May as well go back to your room
  326. >She can sulk and then return to the world of the living, when she's ready
  327. >As you're walking back and turning a corner, out of nowhere, Spike smacks into your legs
  328. >Your reflexes end up kicking him, booting and planting his face into the floor
  329. "Fuck, Spike, slow down!"
  330. >U-Ugh."
  331. >He shakes his head back into reality
  332. >"Anon, There you are!"
  333. "Yeah"
  334. >He glares, props himself up, and stomps over to you
  335. >"Twilight walked right pass me earlier, and then just locked herself up in the library. She-"
  336. "And Rarity gets a new crush on a weekly basis. What else is new?"
  337. >"No, I'm serious! She seemed upset, and that cloak of hers was burnt to shreds."
  338. >Spike tries to stand "tall", basically looking up deep at your crotch
  339. >"What did you do?"
  340. "I accidentally burnt her new Akatsuki thing and she got pissed. But I already apologized, so we're good."
  341. >His "menacing" face fades
  342. >"Wait, you got her to open the library doors?"
  343. "Uhh, no, I just said sorry in front of them. I couldn't get in."
  344. >He facepalms
  345. >"Good grief, Anon"
  346. >Shut up, Spike, your whole life is a facepalm
  347. "What are you running around for anyway?"
  348. >"I was going to go tell Twilight that Rarity actually has a second cloak."
  349. "What? Really?"
  350. >"Yeah, it's a first draft, though. The clouds weren't quite right, and instead of fixing them, she decided to just make a new one."
  351. >Poor Rarity. Check off pain as another vice she's a glutton for
  352. "Did you find that out by running all the way over there and back already?"
  353. >"No, I was helping her before getting the design right with Twilight's notes."
  354. >Of course
  355. >"Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go tell her the good news."
  356. >Spike takes off down his original path, and you're left with a growling stomach
  357. >It'll probably be best to forget this and get something to eat
  358. >With Twilight next to pushing you out earlier, not much of your morning cereal got eaten
  359.
  360. "Waiter, two jumbo hayburgers, hold the hay. And put it under Twilight's name."
  361. >This order is become an all-too-common utterance
  362. >Ever since Twiggie Piggie convinced you to try this quaint restaurant and then henceforth stuffed her face, it has become a main staple of your diet
  363. >It's surprisingly good, really
  364.  >Though some real meat sounds delicious right about now
  365. >The dream of a fat slab of beef makes your lackluster time on Earth suddenly not so bad
  366. >Maybe Twi can be convinced to mad scientist up fake meat
  367. >Hm, maybe not
  368. >"Hi, Anon!"
  369. >Your thoughts are broken from the chirpy greeting
  370. "Oh, hey, Pinkie. How ya doing?"
  371. >The merry waitress mare trots over to your table, skipping to a silent beat, carrying your food and drink
  372. >She somehow, allthewhile, manages not to drop any of it
  373. >"I'm super duper! What about you?"
  374. "Hungery is what I am. Speaking of which, dang, this is what I call fast food."
  375. >Pinkie giggles
  376. >"I know! After Twilight rediscovered this place, we just make a ton of these beforehoof. They're super duper popular now! We even have this fancy machine in the back that keeps them warm and cozy."
  377. "That's pretty neat."
  378. >You take the tray from her carrier, careful not to spill anything
  379. "Totally! And as you can see, business is kind of slow this time of day too, so you get the Pinkie Pie special treatment!"
  380. "I ain't complainin'. Thanks, I need these after the day I've been having."
  381. >While lifting a burger up, her glee gives way to concern, ears flopping down
  382. >"Really? Did anything happen?"
  383. >You set the food back down
  384. "Well, Twilight got a new piece of...clothing today from Rarity, and trying to be resourceful, I accidentally, uh, ruined it."
  385. >"Awwww, how did you do that?"
  386. "I got it too close to Twilight's stupidly hot magical crystal drier thing, and the heat messed it up."
  387. >She gasps
  388. >"Does that mean you,"
  389. >Her voice dips down to a whisper
  390. >"burnt it?!"
  391. "Yeah, that's what happened. I can't believe that thing could even get that hot! It's a safety hazard, if you ask me."
  392. >You take a spit of water
  393. "Well, anyway, now she's trapped herself in her library and won't talk. I know it was a dic-, I mean, uh, poor move on my part, but she won't even respond. It's totally unreasonable. How was I supposed to know that would..."
  394. >Your sentence trails off, detrailed by Ponk's huge, blue eyes boring right through you for an uncomfortable number of seconds
  395. "Uh, Pink-"
  396. >"ANON!"
  397. >Your body jumps at the abrupt change in emotion
  398. >Damn it, Pinkie
  399. >"After I'm done working, you should totally come over to Sugercube Corner,"
  400. >She leans in
  401. >"and we'll bake an 'I'm sorry' cake for Twilight!"
  402. "I don't think-"
  403. >"Oh, oh, we can use her favorite recipe! We'll have you bake it and write 'I'm sorry' with frosting and-"
  404. >You shove your finger against her lips, cutting off her enthusiastic soon-to-be tangent
  405. >Man, too bad it's only your finger on her lips
  406. "Pinkie, shh."
  407. >She giggles and pulls away
  408. >"Hehe, sorry, Nonny."
  409. >Fuck, she so cute. You kind of want to go along with her silly idea
  410. >You clear the spaghetti from your throat
  411. "There's no need for that. Rarity actually made two of them, so Spike's probably gonna go get it."
  412. >You take another shot at the food, but Pinkie, again, interjects
  413. >"Nonny! YOU should go get it!"
  414. "Nah, I think Spike's got it."
  415. >"No, no no! If you get it and give it to her, Twilight will be soooooooooo happy!"'
  416. >She closes the gap between your ear and her voice, catching you off guard
  417. >"And maybe she'll even forgive you and forget eeeeeeeeverything."
  418. >Wew, Ponks.
  419. >That did it
  420. "W-well, I guess you're right. I suppose I'll go get it after eating."
  421. >From the beyond in the kitchen, you hear a loud stallion calling Pinkie back
  422. >"PINKIE, WHAT'S TAKING SO LONG?"
  423. >"COMING. Sorry, anon, gotta take care of business. See ya later and go get that clothing thingie!"
  424. >Having Pinkie bounced back and out of sight, you let free a sigh
  425. "Yeah..."
  426. >You finally take a bite of your food
  427.
  428. >Heavy, indisposed footsteps drag you across Ponyville to the next stop in this horrible day
  429. >The start of this whole catastrophe: Carousel Boutique
  430. >Or Casual Brothel, Colossal Booty, and Rarity la Carousel, as you like to call it
  431. >Whatever joke fits the day, the last thing you want to do is deal with Rarity's bullshit, but, as much as you don't like it, you got yourself into this mess, so you gotta be the plunger
  432. >Better get this over with
  433. >Your fist taps on the door, calling out to the beast in its dungeon
  434. >A muffled "coming~" responds, gliding through the carousel's seams
  435. >Oh, man, that cheery voice is gonna disappear so quickly when you drop the bomb
  436. >The tornado of sass is getting ready to spawn
  437. >You hear hoofsteps closing in, increasing your reculcance
  438. >Maybe it's not too late to turn back
  439. >Before you can fully rationalize the idea, Rarity's face shows itself from behind your wooden barrier
  440. >Too late
  441. >Piercing through a pair of glasses, her disinterested glare is amost as intense as Twilight's Sharingan
  442. >"Anon..."
  443. >Nice resting bitch face
  444. "Nice to see you too, Rarity."
  445. >"And to whom do I owe this unsolicited visit?"
  446. "...Twilight"
  447. >Her face softens slightly
  448. >"Twilight? What about her?"
  449. >Here we go
  450. >Out goes a large sigh
  451. "OK, you can bitch at me all you like later, but, first off, to make a long story short, I accidentally set Twilight's Akatsuki cloak on fire."
  452. >"What?!"
  453. >Rarity's tone tells you that she has a hint of relief, but it's overall masked in her freshly blooming outrage
  454. >"Really?!"
  455. "Yes, really. But like I said, by accident. Anyway, I burnt the cloak, and she got really upset. Last I checked, she was cooped up in the library and wouldn't come out. Doesn't even respond to me at all."
  456. >Rarity nestles a scowl into place
  457. "Don't give me that look. I DID say sorry, I'll have you know."
  458. >The fluffy marshmallow of PMS slams her hoof to the floor
  459. >"Anonymous, how could you?"
  460. "Come on, I didn't know that was going to happen. I just turned on the dryer thing, took a nap, and then it was destroyed. Why in Equestria would she make that thing capable of such temperatures, anyway? Something like this was bound to happen sooner or later."
  461. >"I can't believe this,"
  462. >A little grunt is squeaked out
  463.  >"sometimes you just go too far! If I wasn'...oh!"
  464. >Rarity stops, flips around 180 degrees, and works to reign her poise back in
  465. >Typical unicorns
  466. >She responds after spending a few seconds in silence
  467. >"Now then, a lady does not lose her composure so easily, unlike brutes, such as yourself."
  468. >With a flick of a tail, she lightly asserts her superiority
  469. >It does nothing but give you an excuse for staring at dat ass
  470.  "I suppose you want me to head over to Twilight's and get her out, correct?"
  471. "Actually, no."
  472. >She turns her head over her shoulder, unamused
  473. >"Then, what, pray tell, do you want?"
  474.  "Well,"
  475. >Here we go
  476. "I'm here for the other Akatsuki cloak you made."
  477. >The white mare's body freezes like skin to liquid nitrogen, then whips around like a startled rattlesnake
  478. >"Excuse me!?"
  479. "Yeah, the extra one you have. I need it."
  480. >Rarity begins to visibly blush
  481. >"I...uh...oh, who told you about it?"
  482. "Spike."
  483. >"What? I explicitly told him NOT to tell anypony..."
  484. "Well, he spilled the beans. I'm just glad you made another. You're so generous, Rarity."
  485. >A stubby grin can't help but yank itself from your normal frown
  486. >She notices
  487. >"You wipe that smile off our face, Anonymous!"
  488. "What? Why? I'm just saying I'm happy that you were so kind to have made another."
  489.  >"Oh, quiet you! You know very well why."
  490. >Your relationship with Rarity may be on rocky terms, but it’s still fun to tease her
  491. "I do? Anyway, what I'm here for is the cloak. I'll take it now and then be out of your hair."
  492. >"Why in Celestia's name would I give it to you?"
  493. >Oh, boy, the sass
  494. >"Knowing your antics, I wouldn't be surprised if you put it on yourself and paraded around Ponyville, all in the name of embarrassing me."
  495. >Imagining such a scene gives you a little giggle, and that triggers Rarity to fashion a rather cute scoff
  496. >She closes her eyes and throws her head back
  497. >"Laugh all you like, Anon, but assuming what you're saying to true, I'll just go over to Twilight's myself. I'm fully confident I can get her to open back up."
  498. >You're ready to agree with her for once in your life, but then the whole point of getting that thing comes back to you
  499. "Nah, I think I should really do it. I mean, I DID destroy her last one. This is the least I can do for her."
  500. >"I'm sorry, Anon, but I won't let you mess up any more than you already have."
  501. >Now, you're getting irritated
  502. "Damn it, Rarity, you're being more stubborn than trying to feed Applejack some other-"
  503. >"RARITY!"
  504. >Who the fuck is that
  505. >Rarity moves to the side of you
  506. >"Spike? Is that...?"
  507. >The purple dragon, huffing and puffing, runs flailing toward the boutique at top speeds
  508. >With a flip of emotions, you do everything in your power to keep from bursting out laughing
  509. >He parks right behind you, collapsing to his knees and out of breath
  510. "S-Spike? Good grief, lad, you look like you're running from death itself."
  511. >"A-anon, w-what you are d-doing h-here."
  512. "Hm? I'm here to pick up the Akatsuki cloak, but why are you here?"
  513. >"I-I'm...w-wait,..."
  514. >Spike pauses the conversation with a raise of his hand, taking a moment to catch his breath
  515. >"Rarity, did Anon already tell you what happened with Twilight?"
  516. >"Yes, he did."
  517. "Ok, so, I was trying to get Twilight to come out of the library, and I started hearing a lot weird noises, some really loud. Then, everything just went quiet. I started panicking, and ran over here to get the cloak."
  518. >The intense desire to chuckle subsides
  519. >What the hell is Twilight doing
  520. >"Oh, no, did she say anything at all?"
  521. >"No, nothing. I'm pretty worried, and all I can think of to get her to open up is the first draft version you have."
  522. >Fashion horse bites her lip and trots past your legs to help Spike back up
  523. >You wonder if it's genuine help or just a way to get as close as possible before activating her bedroom eyes for the sole purpose of brainwashing him into not taking that piece of clothing out of her store
  524. >"Spiky Wiky, I'm worried about Twilight just as much as you are, but are you sure this is the best and only way to get her out? I mean..."
  525. >Good job, Rarity
  526. >She pauses and places her hoof on Spike's face, probably just buying time to dig for an excuse
  527. >"what if Twilight doesn't believe you, or still doesn't respond?"
  528. >He blushes
  529. >"D-don't worry, Rarity, I'm sure it'll work! She's sure to open the doors."
  530. >You interject, fearing Spike may pussy out if Rarity uses any more of her womanly charm
  531. "Yeah, he's right. Knowing Twilight, I wouldn't be surprised if we arrived back and she's outside waiting for her prize. "
  532. >The bedroom eyes are dropped
  533. >"It's just a ragitty old cloak, though. I think having her friends there will be much more effective."
  534. >"Great idea. We can all deliver it to her!"
  535. >Not what she had in mind
  536. >"But..."
  537. >"What is it?"
  538. "Yeah, what's wrong? Is there something we should know?"
  539. >Her face relaxes, signaling defeat
  540. >"Oh, nothing."
  541. >She turns around and steps back inside, each hoofstep speaking of her disdain for the overall situation
  542. >"Well, I  have a lot of work that needs to get done, so I can't go at this moment."
  543. >You smell bullshit
  544. >"But, Spike, I want trustworthy you take it to Twilight, instead of Anon here."
  545. >And you can eat a dick, Rarity
  546. >"Follow me."
  547. >She leads you two into the back room of the carousel and, once again, flips on the light
  548. >But this time, the image that floods your vision takes you aback
  549. >Holy shit
  550. >The room is a huge disaster, much more so than you remember
  551. >Boxes, clothes, and supplies are sprawled out everywhere, many of it destroyed
  552. >It's like a fashion war took place with countless casualties, civilians and all
  553. >Truly, chaos fused with disorganization to the highest degree
  554. >You can't help but blurt out a smartass remark
  555. "Good lord, girl, did this room get even messier? Does a jet stream pass through here, or is this what you mean when you say things get messy when you jerk off?"
  556. >She doesn't even acknowledge the insult, but simply walks toward the center, eyes wide and mouth hanging
  557. >Damn
  558. >Light words of disbelief are whispered from under her breath
  559. >"W-what happened..."
  560. >Spike immediately works his way in, dancing through supplies, ready to comfort her like the purpleknight he is
  561. >"What happened here, Rarity?"
  562. >She closes her lightly gaping flapper, forcing her mind back to the real world
  563. >"It's...It's a catastrophe!"
  564. >"Yeah, it looks horrible..."
  565. "Yo, Spike,"
  566. >The dragon looks back at you
  567. "just to fill you in, this place looked a lot better when we were in here earlier with Twilight. It was still pretty chaotic, but this,"
  568. >You throw your arms up
  569. "this is insane."
  570. >"Wait, I'm confused. What happened between then and now?"
  571. >Rarity turns to face both of you
  572. >"I-I have no idea. Ever since Twilight left, I've been upstairs working on a batch of dresses for a new customer."
  573. "And I wasn't even here."
  574. >Spike gasps
  575. >"Do you think somepony..."
  576. >His eyes dart around the room
  577. "broke in?"
  578. >Lazily shaking her head, Rarity lets out a light whinny
  579. >"I don't know, Spike. Who in their right mind would go in there to steal, well, anything? Surely, any criminal with a grain of sense would go after something more valuable. However, it really looks like that..."
  580. >"But what idiot would destroy everything? I thought robbers took things, not made a mess of it all. Not only that, but this basically a giant, flashing look-I-came-in-here-and-stole-stuff sign. Does he want to get caught or something?"
  581. >You brush the light stubble on your chin
  582. "I sure hope the cloak didn't get destroyed, though."
  583. >"That silly piece of clothing is the least of our worries, at the moment. I say we just go to Twilght's now, insteading spend extra time looking around for it."
  584. "Or,"
  585. >You scan the carnage
  586. "we all search through this to find it. I mean, there isn't an impossible amount of junk to sort through. Hell, Twilight ain't going anywhere anyway."
  587. >"Yeah, if we work together, find it will be easy."
  588. >Rarity's eye fly wide open
  589. >No, no! Don't go through this!"
  590. "What, why not?"
  591. >"I, uh..."
  592. >You're thinking more than just fashion junk may be hiding in here
  593.  "I-I'll j-just look for it. Besides, I think I remember now what I placed it in."
  594. >Flinging her body over to a corner, she begins digging, flipping over junk
  595. >"Oh, where is it, where is it, where is it..."
  596. >Yeah, she "just" remembered
  597. >Rarity knows exactly what she's search for
  598. >Meanwhile, you and Spike look at distance, hesitant to interfere, but your voice is the first to break the silence
  599. "Rarity, good grief, I know this is, uh, bad, but let's all take a breather and calm down so-"
  600. >You're cut off with a plain, brown box hovering above Rarity's head,
  601. >The marshmallow princess's face somehow managed to get even whiter
  602. >"IT'S GONE!"
  603. >"What?"
  604. "Yeah, what?"
  605. >The box is tossed across the room
  606. >"I've should have known: some ruffian did this and then stole that fashion atrocity!"
  607. >Hehe
  608. "Who would even do that and how?"
  609. >Rarity shoots visual daggers into your eyes, ready to slice you like an edgelord attacking Internet trolls
  610. >"I bet this is your fault somehow, Anon! Twilight and Spike are the only other ones who knew it even existed!"
  611. "Me? What the hell, it's not possible for me to have done this! And, before you accuse me, no, I didn't tell anyone else about the cloak either, so you hush."
  612. >Spike pokes in his opinion
  613. >"It wasn't me. You told me to keep the surprise a secret."
  614.  >"And what? It couldn't have been Twilight. She's locked up in her library."
  615. "Well, there's no one else who could have done it, and it's not like some random pony came charging in here to destroy your stuff and steal a cringy piece of clothing."
  616. >The rollercoaster of emotions pushes and pulls on Rarity's chest
  617. >"I don't know anymore. I'm at a lose for words here, and none of this makes any sense."
  618. >"I totally agree."
  619.  >You lean back against a wall, yourself tired
  620. "Maybe we should just go to the castle: Letting the princess know about this could get her out. It is her royal duty, I think."
  621. >"I think I finally agree with you for once, Anon."
  622. >"Right, let's go!"
  623. >You give Spike a lot of crap, but, boy, he sure can spring back into action sometimes
  624. >"Yes, let us depart."
  625. "Oh, gee, Rarity, I thought you were busy."
  626. >"This is an emergency. Things can wait."
  627.
  628. >Walking to the castle, everyone is nervous for whatever outcome burgeons into fruition.
  629. >In a perfect world, Twilight will have recovered, and the crook who destroyed Rarity's property will be brought to justice soon after
  630. >But based on what has happened this day, idealistic fantasies seem far out of reach
  631. >At least the sun will set and the day will end
  632. >At some point
  633. >The three of you finally arrive at the castle, and the doors are wide open
  634. >Hope perks up Rarity's voice
  635. >"Did Twilight already come out?"
  636. >Maybe Lady Luck is finally rolling a six
  637. "I sure hope so. It'd take a huge weight off my chest."
  638. >"I..."
  639. >Spike intervenes
  640. >"actually just forgot to close them earlier."
  641. "How do you forget to close those doors?"
  642. >"Give him a break, Anon. Spike's mind was completely dedicated to helping Twilight."
  643. >You don't like those slithery undertones
  644. "Well, Rarity,"
  645. >You push ahead of your company
  646. "I am ready to go up to that library and get-"
  647. >Your lips slam shut the moment your foot enters the castle
  648. >An anomalous throb, almost electric in essence, creeps up your leg and whips along your spine, freezing you in your tracks
  649. >"Anonymous, whatever is the matter?"
  650. >The fuck
  651. >What was that?
  652. >The feeling was similar to when you first came to Equestria
  653. >However, this one had an unsettling sensation that you couldn't quite describe, even to your own conscious
  654. >Almost, dare you say, vile
  655. >And ghost like, a malicious spirit you can only know of through intuition alone
  656. "I'm...I'm fine. I think I just stepped wrong. Let's go."
  657. >Walking a bit slower, you pay attention to the moment Spike and Rarity enter
  658. >They don't seem phased at all
  659. >Whatever it was that you felt was an isolated experience
  660. >Why though? Did Twilight set this? Did you discharge something?
  661. >Kind of felt like it
  662. >But you rarely even feel magic, being human
  663. >"Anon, are you doing alright?"
  664. >Spike notices your change of pace
  665. "Y-yeah. I told you, I just step on my foot wrong. We're close to the library, anyway."
  666. >You all turn the corner, and the doors of Twilight's self-sentenced prison come into view
  667. >Suddenly, your stomach is now disagreeing with continuing anymore
  668. >You try Ignoring it, but every inch made further stimulates the irritation
  669. >What the hell is going on
  670. >"Oh, my, does anyone else abruptly feel slightly...ill?"
  671. >"Yeah, I feel it too..."
  672. >"Anon, yourself?"
  673. >Her words glide right past your ears, bouncing off the library that you now face
  674. >Speak, damn it
  675. "T-Twilight, are you in there?"
  676. >"Twilight, darling, it's Rarity. Anon told me how he destroyed your robe, and he is very sorry. I assure you, he will do whatever he has to do to make up for it."
  677. >You never approved with that last point
  678. "Twilight, are you even in there anymore?"
  679. >No response
  680. >Not even a sound
  681. >Spike rushes up and starts pounding his fists like a tiny alien monkey
  682. >"Twilight, please open up! We’re so worried about you!"
  683. >You hear a creak, the sound stealing a beat of all your hearts
  684. >He stops
  685. "What the..."
  686. >You place your hand forward and push
  687. >The door swings open
  688.
  689. >"When did she..."
  690. >The inside of the library is pitch black, save for a single flame, in the back, softly lighting its immediate surroundings
  691. >And silhouetted against it is a pony
  692. >Twilight
  693. >You see her horn casting magic,
  694. >At first, you are filled with questions, but then it dawned on you
  695. >If she's using magic, there is no way your words missed her, much less the door pounding and then opening
  696. >She was literally ignoring everyone
  697. >That cheeky cunt
  698. >Enmity begins simmering where an upset stomach once was
  699. >You already apologized; Now, it's her turn
  700. "Twilight!"
  701. >Rarity and Spike swing their heads up to you
  702. >"Anon, calm do-"
  703. >You cut Rarity off harder than a medieval battle axe
  704. "Hey, princess of being a bitch! Are you suddenly deaf or did you forget to have your period for the past 5 months, and now you're letting loose all the pent up PMS at once!"
  705. >Your companion's jaws drop
  706. >Rarity wastes no time to ridicule you
  707. >"ANONYMOUS, HOW DARE YOU SAY SOMETHING SO APPALLING."
