  1. “Wha…?” Fate asked, her voice fading out at the end as she gave quite the confused look.
  2.
  3. “Not… this time!” Eleri screeched, making a creature out of dark storm clouds and bringing them back into a serious battle. Fate done messed, not paying enough attention to what was happening due to her confusion from the conversation before, and Eleri with her storm cloud creature got to Destiny.
  4.
  5. “You have done messed!” Krystal yelled with a loud laugh, putting her hands on her head and gaining slapping on the arm from Fate.
  6.
  7. “Shift, shift, shift!” Fate ordered, in which Krystal slapped one of her flapping hands and shifted into morning star mode, knowing that Fate would need something to throw.
  8.
  9. Indeed, Fate needed something to throw. She may have a couple of missing fingers, but she had great aim, throwing Krystal in her shifted form into the storm clouds harshly, breaking them apart. They basically exploded and Krystal shifted back upon feeling tiny snowflakes on her nose. Letting out a sneeze, Fate took a look around, not seeing Eleri anywhere. Snow was everywhere, though… storm clouds, bleh.
  10.
  11. Destiny finally came out of the fog, though, and Fate let out a sign of relief. At least she did something right.
  12.
  13. “You saved me from Eleri… again!” Destiny laughed lightly, in which Fate grasped onto her backpack straps again with a small smile.
  14.
  15. “Oh, uh, yah, I guess.” She chuckled before looking around again. “Is she gone?”
  16.
  17. “She must have fled.” Destiny replied, still smiling. He didn’t usually smile this much, did he…? “Fate, you’re so strong.” Well, he caught her attention. “And… you look so beautiful in the snow.” The snow was stopping, slowly, but still falling. Fate’s cheeks lit up a dark pink again and honestly, she wished that she could be like a turtle. She could just disappear into her shell… or a black hole would work, too. “What are you doing later?”
  18.
  19. “… Oh…” She mumbled, turning a bit and feeling her tongue go dry. “I-I was just… going to g-go home…”
  20.
  21. “Come with me. Let’s go out.”
  22.
  23. Fate felt like choking. He didn’t actually mean that, did he?
  24.
  25. “Go… out…?” She asked softly, looking drained of all energy.
  26.
  27. “Yah, let’s go somewhere!” Destiny responded, in which Fate paused and went to talk again, but Krystal quickly stepped in. She knew how her best friend worked, and it wasn’t well when it came to this kind of stuff.
  28.
  29. “We’d love to!” She jumped in, hissing a bit because she said “we” instead of “she”. They had always been side-by-side, so… it was by instinct. Destiny kept smiling, though.
  30.
  31. “Great! Meet me in the castle gardens in an hour!” Destiny told them, in which Krystal gave Fate a calming hug and started dragging her shocked friend away.
  32.
  33. “Yes, we’ll be there!” There she went with the “we” again. Fate obviously needed help, though, so this was good!

  36.
  37. “Oh, it’s a date!” Krystal squealed from the couch as Fate paced back and forth in the living room, constantly checking herself in the mirror. She was in denial and gave Krystal a frown.
  38.
  39. “No, it’s not!” She argued, in which Krystal wiggled her eyebrows a little bit and gained a pout from her best friend. Fate continued arguing, her face going from worry to confusion and then back to angrily pouting again. “No, it's not. I'm sure when he said, "Go out," he meant, "Go out," not, "GO OUT."”
  40.
  41. “Shut up!” Krystal laughed, waving her arms around wildly. “He’s into you!”
  42.
  43. “Come on, you heard him!” Fate sighed, looking off to the side a little upsettingly. Her voice dropped, dipping into a sad tone. “I’m like his pal.” Krystal immediately stood up, grabbing Fate’s shoulders and shaking her a bit.
  44.
  45. “Well, that could change tonight!” She told her best friend, in which Fate gave her a look as she crossed her arms over her chest.
  46.
  47. “If it’s a date, why are you coming?” Fate asked, in which Krystal ruffled up the fur on her head a bit.
  48.
  49. “I’m coming to help you, you small awkward waffle.” Krystal responded, in which Fate frowned at her again. It was in the way of “don’t call me that”, but it didn’t faze Krystal one bit. Fate let out a groan, putting her hands to her head as Krystal started heading for the door.
  50.
  51. “Fine!” Fate sighed, following behind her taller best friend. “I’ll do this, if only to prove you wrong.”
