Rosenon 2: Electric Subaru

The air smelled of minty pork. That can only mean one thing.

Andy sat up slowly, yawning as he took a few sniffs. He rubbed his eyes softly and smiled, because there's nothing better than waking up from a nap and dining on meat. "Andy, dear. Dinner's ready" said Andy's mom, confirming what Andy himself had already figured out. He gave Minty a little nudge to wake her up. "Come on, Minty. It's dinner time."

Minty yawned cutely, rubbing her own eyes before perking up a bit. She makes a happy squeak before pushing herself off of him and climbing down off the bed. Andy watched her leave the room before sitting up himself. He rolled his neck and slowly stood up, heading for the door himself. 'I really needed that nap' He thought to himself, the harsh feelings of his earlier loss all but gone.

As he headed down the stairs, he caught up to Minty, who had been slowly crawling down each step. He scooped her up, cradling her in his arms as the little flower girl giggled. He quickly made his way to the dining room, where his other two Pokemon, an Absol and a Shinx. "Hi, Lincoln. Hi, Zee. Are you guys feeling better?" Lincoln huffs, nudging his bowl with his scythe, while Zee mewls and nods.

And so, the four ate dinner. Pork for Andy, Zee, and Lincoln, and a glass of spring-water with a hint of rawst for Minty.  Minty sucked on the water happily through a bendy-straw, standing upon a stack of books sat upon her chair. The quadrapeds ate from their bowls, finishing rather quickly and heading off to their beds to rest. Andy, however, was thinking. While the feelings had left him, the memory of his defeat had not. Silently and slowly, he finished his own meal, placing the dishes in the sink, thanking his mother, and returning to his room.

Half-way up the stairs, Minty squeaked at him. Looking back, he saw Minty making her way up the steps after him. It didn't take long for him to figure out exactly what she wanted. He went down the stairs to pick her up and headed back up to the room, sitting back down on his bed. He sat her upon his lap and sighed, looking at a map of Kalos he hand hanging on a wall.

Minty noticed his gaze and nudged him, giving a tiny squeak. Andy looked down at her, then back up at the map. "Hey, Minty" he asked, "Remember when I said we're gonna be getting out of this town and seeing the world and all that?" Minty nodded, giggling and leaning back against him, looking at the map as well. Andy thought for a moment, then continued "...We're still gonna do that. And we're gonna train hard for the next tournament. And we're gonna win and get the money we need to get outta here."

Andy hugged the little flower girl as the two of them stared at the map on the wall. He made that plan with his Pokemon a while ago, and Andy was determined to see this plan through, no matter how many losses it would take. He would be out of this town, and he would be a proper trainer, traveling the world with Lincoln, Zee, and of course, with Minty.
