  18. Karsten seems to be further brooding on the nature of the relationship between the mortal and the divine - having written a short, pretty horrible poem on the subject, he's pondering if, when they return to their times, they will be able to convince people that something needs to change. ...And every conclusion he's come to is 'Of course not'. Glory, honor, an unwavering dedication to a misguided religion, an arrogance that dictates that all of their actions are right, what influence could five almost inconsequential people have on returning to their homes? Trying to convince people of the horrors they'd learned here - that would be a job for a leader of men. None of them in this group could truly be called such a thing. Then... how would they be expected to 'win'? If they won this war, then some truly dire price would be paid, and the world would sink further into the pit of pollution, resource depletion, and violence. Where and how could it be ended if not here? How could this be stopped without destroying millions, even billions of innocent lives?
  19.
  20. Karsten had no intention of throwing the fight, but he was truly concerned about what was to come.
