Ugh, obviously, the correct answer is *19.* "8 + 11 = 19". Whoever did the previous three questions only managed to get the first one right ("1 + 4 = 5"). Not very bright, and that sets the stage for what's really going on. Just look at the bullsh!t everyone had to invent in order to justify "8 + 11" equalling anything other than "19".

Look how everyone has argued about it, at times bitterly, as though it's a divisive "republicans versus democrats" issue. Some centrists and moderates chimed in to show compassion and tolerance for each answer that wasn't "19".

Whoever made sh!t up to get an answer other than "19" (the correct answer) can be expected to survive in a dictatorship but you will never make it to the Moon with math like that.

If you live in China, then the correct response to this problem would be: "Sure thing Xi Jinping, it's 40 or 96 or whatever the f_kc you want it to be. Just go ahead and change the constitution again."
