  1. BBC-Tan’s Concept
  2.
  3. Being one of the oldest channels in existence, BBC knows exactly how hard it is it to exist as a broadcasting company. Despite being hit time and time again by criticism and scandals, he has never lost his enthusiasm in broadcasting. He shows an incredibly jovial attitude to the other channels, always more than eager to help and share the experiences he has accumulated over the years, ranging from History to Home improvement.
  4.
  5. BBC-Tan speaks with the typical London accent. His design and mannerisms are quite similar to Wallace from the Wallace and Gromit claymation series. But rather than a knack for inventing new gadgets and gizmos, BBC’s expertise lies in experience in broadcasting programmes, both cartoons and live-action series. He is also keen on helping with education, and general home improvement, though his competence tends to vary wildly between “Bob the Builder, can he fix it?”, to “Mr. Bean and his antics”.*
  6.
  7. He is also a very solid source of information for historical events, as evidenced by his Horrible Histories programmes and multitude of talk shows. Sometimes, he may share a comedy panel with Comedy Central-tan, playing the British straight man to the insanity of modern American life, with his “posh, gentlemanly behaviour.”
  8.
  9. BBC-Tan also has somewhat of an obsession with cars.
  10.
  11. Catchphrase: "All that is best in every department of human knowledge, endeavor and achievement.... The preservation of a high moral tone is obviously of paramount importance."**
  12.
  13. *Side note: Some channels have noticed that the more they expect him to fail, the less likely he is to screw up. This can become an endless source of torment for BBC-tan from the observant channel-tans.
  14. **This is a quote by John Reith, the man who turned the British Broadcasting Company to British Broadcasting Corporation, and also Director-General of the BBC who was quite the moralfag, but meant well for the country.
  15.
  16. Extra notes: One of the reasons that he is so jovial all the time might be because it’s a coping mechanism for him. Either because of the scandals and criticism surrounding the BBC channel, or the way , he knows exactly how being at the bottom of the barrel feels, and will assist whenever he can to help the other channels with their problems. “Watership Down” could be used as a result of his need to vent his frustration in a way his jovial attitude could not, which is why he rarely brings it up when asked if he broadcasts 2D animation, since most of the animations broadcasted are 3D productions. (It can also be a source of trauma for the other chans to be played for laughs should they snoop around in his media library without his permission.)
