·         Can you tell me where and how long your Recruit Training (IMT) will be?

·          What activities and subjects will you covering   during your Recruit training (IMT) (i.e. swim test, drill/parade, communal living, dress and bearing, military law etc)?

·         Tell me some of the physical activities and tough conditions you will go through at Recruit school?

·         How will you handle being in a disciplined environment?  How will you deal with following orders (from people who may be younger than you)?

·         What is the PFA standard required for entry in to your selected service and can you meet it now?

·         All ADF members will undergo weapons training during recruit school, will you be comfortable with this? What is the main weapon used in the Australian Defence Force?

·         Where and how long is your IET and what will be covered?

·         What are some of the likely (rotational) posting locations and operating environments you will be deployed to?

·         What is your IMPS and what does this mean?

·         Explain the day-to-day responsibilities and duties of your job role(s) and what equipment you may use?

·         Why does a career in the (RAAF/RAN/ARA) interest / appeal to you and what are your motivations in applying for you chosen role(s)?

·         Can you explain the Defence Conditions of Service and why they are important? (ie. Combat role. Military law, unrestricted service etc.)

·         What is the role of an Officer is in the ADF?

·         What management or leadership experience have you had and give an example of when you have worked under pressure (i.e. school, work, cadets, involvement in committee’s, volunteer work, etc.)

·         What operations (Military or humanitarian) are the ADF are currently involved in?

·         Are you aware of the OSB and can you tell me what it involves?
