In the grim darkness of the far future, there is only war.

Dunroamin VI, a planet formerly known as a prosperous mining world has fallen into chaos after the assassination of the planetary Governor Frazer Mackenzie and his entire extended family in the event that amongst the populace has became known as “The Slaughter.”

Some of the galaxy's warring factions saw an opportunity in the current state of the planet and made plans to invade it.

The ever-expanding Tau Empire were the first to arrive and send their fire caste troops onto the surface of the planet to seize control of it, then came the Imperium with their fleets and the endless numbers of guardsmen of expendable guardsmen ready to die for their Emperor. Last but not least came the Orks who after eliminating both the Imperium and the Tau's naval superiority by ramming their own vessels into the remnants of both fleets headed groundside.

With no side having any clear advantage, the fighting on the planet soon descended into a stalemate as everyone dug in and prepared for a drawn out conflict amongst the ruins of the planet.

Amongst the debris that made up the remnant's of the planet's capital, a lonely being twitched and a sharp intake of air could be heard as the shrouded form of the being began moving amongst the debris.
