- Generic Notice
- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Dear Amazon EC2 Customer,
- One or more of your Amazon EC2 instances have been scheduled for a reboot in order to receive some patch updates (note that most reboots only take between 2-10 minutes to complete depending on your instance configuration.) The instance(s) that will be rebooted and your scheduled reboot time(s) are listed below.
- Region Instance ID Maintenance Window
- =================================================================
- Region name Instance ID Start Time to End Time
- …
- If you would like to manage your reboots yourself, you can reboot your instance(s) on your own schedule any time before your scheduled maintenance window by issuing an EC2 instance reboot command. This can be done easily from the AWS management console http://console.aws.amazon.com by first selecting your instance(s) and then choosing either ‘Reboot’ from the ‘Instance Actions’ drop down box.
- If you don’t want to manage the reboots yourself, no action is required on your part – the reboots will happen automatically during your scheduled maintenance window.
- All scheduled events for your Amazon EC2 instances can also be found on the Scheduled Events page in the AWS Management Console:
- https://console.aws.amazon.com/ec2/home?region=%{Region}#s=ScheduledEvents
- Should you have any questions or concerns, the AWS Support Team is available on the community forums and via AWS Premium Support.

- Amazon Web Services
