  1. Lynx
  2.
  3. Bloodline Bane: The lynx are invariably tied to the networks they establish. In particular, upon joining this bloodline the lynx will gain the persistent addicted condition towards the network which they have chosen. This may manifest as a literal psychological addiction to social networking, a given clique of friends, or a news system. Some find themselves addicted to the internet, periodicals, or the presence of certain organization members. Whatever their chosen network is, they are intimately tied to it and will react harshly, often violently if one attempts to separate them from it. In addition to the network being addictive in its presence, the lynx will also suffer a frenzy provocation at -2 base, -3 if unexpected if one attempts to separate them from their network under any circumstances.
  4.
  5. Bloodline Gift: The lynx despite their addiction to their network, cling to it for practical reasons as well. Whenever someone enters or leaves a network they have become so attuned to, they are immediately allowed to roll for blood sympathy awareness as though a message denoting an individual's entrance or exit from the group had been transmitted. General feelings associated with the entrance or exit, such as enthusiasm or wariness for entrance, anger or even sadness for leaving can be felt as well. This does not tell them WHY someone is leaving their network, simply that someone is, and the emotion associated with it.
  6.
  7. Disciplines: Auspex, Celerity, Dominate, Obfuscate
  8.
  9. Web devotions
  10. The devotions that the Lynx practice are simply known as, 'Web'. For what reason is unsure. Some believe that this is termed after the internet or, 'World Wide Web'. Others believe that it predates the information age, rather referring to web graphs that one might commonly associate with a traveler or stereotypical conspiracy theorist. Regardless, the devotions of web manipulate the relationships between individuals with a surprising, or one might even say frightening ease.
  11.
  12. Ripples (Auspex **)
  13. The basic principle of relationships is the individual. The building block, the core, the grain in the desert and brick in the wall. Without one, there is not the other. While a far more basic principle than grasping webs immediately, some Lynx prefer to start with lessons other than those of ripples as this can be a distracting and sometimes frustrating building block for the younger members of their bloodline. Regardless, seeing the, 'Ripples' or whatever other term the lynx uses to describe the sense of connection they can detect is certainly a useful trick.
  14.
  15. Cost: 1 vitae
  16. Roll: Wits + Empathy + Auspex
  17. Roll Results
  18.
  19. Dramatic Failure: The lynx becomes confused and tied up in the strands that surround them, suffering an information overload. They immediately gain the, 'Confused' condition for nights equal to their blood potency.
  20.
  21. Failure: The lynx fails to perceive the strands and various interconnections of the world, perhaps seeing it as an indistinct blur or else an indiscriminate feeling.
  22.
  23. Success: The lynx may perceive one, 'Connection' per success regarding the target they single out. This manifests often as a strand, a line of some variety connecting two people. The nature of the individual's relationship is often a mystery, but through the usage of other auspex powers this usually becomes clear in a matter of moments.
  24.
  25. Exceptional Success: The lynx may in addition to perceiving five connections, ask the emotional context of a connection that can be summed up in one word. 'Hate', 'Love', 'Tension' or, 'Jealousy' are all valid answers. 'Rivalry', 'Fealty', 'Employee' and such are not as they denote a functional rather than emotional relationship. Rivalry may be expressed as, 'Tension', or, 'Anxiety' whereas fealty may be expressed as, 'Respsect' or, 'Resentment' depending on the context of the submission.
