Waking up in the sewers is one thing , but waking up in the sewers and you’re a half-naked man with no memory whatsoever is something to really be suspicious about , as he started to roam around the sewers he started to remember bits and pieces of his old personality , Jake was his name , he was almost a robot when it came to his routine , wake up , get yourself ready for the day and head out to your job at the local café , and he failed to do all of that , he had some really mischief making friends, it seemed at first , as if he simply spent the night with his drunken friends who played a practical joke on him , one which simply managed to lead him to the dark sewers , but even he thought that this was beyond craziness . Not even his friends on cocaine could do that , but he decided to simply try and get out of this smelly craphole , the area smelt as bad as rotting bodies , and Jake simply wanted to go back out to civilization , as he kept on searching for a hole to get out of he suddenly heard things crawling behind him , the faint noise of something lurking about , he simply thought that these were the rats that preferred living around with feces and other products that aren’t so pleasant , but that small fainting noise turned into a loud stumping , he turned around and saw that it was a person , the darkness of the area wouldn’t exactly help Jake find out what who the person was , but nonetheless it was a person , Jake cried out : (Whose there ? ) , but the person simply continued to stumble and stumble , slowly and slowly , Jake decided to take a few steps back , just to try and lure this person to a shade of light , Jake’s reaction to the face of that man was … almost indescribable , Jake froze there for a second , he was too frightened to move a single muscle , it’s the feeling that you get when you feel anxious , when you suddenly feel desperate , it’s the feeling you’d get when you see a person , not only lurking about in the sewers , and not only had his face eaten off , but the simple idea that a person as dead as a mutilated cow , overrun and out beaten by hungry animals that will do anything to simply eat and devour the precious meat they so desperately need to survive , is still alive , he seemed odd , It seemed odd, the thing took a deep crunch into Jake’s arm , it hurt him at first , but that’s what you get for not moving as soon as you see someone dead charging at you , he pushed him off , he found a metal pipe lying about and picked it up , knowing that this is all a life or death situation , he slammed the pipe into the things head , all was too quick for Jake to realize , but eventually the thing fell on the ground , dropping the metal pipe of his hands out of pure terror , Jake fled to the nearby hole , as he opened the hatch the beams of light were almost heavenly to him , but that didn’t last so long since the smoke covering the sun snapped him out of his relaxing dream , he realized that the smoke was coming out of a nearby building , he continued to look through the skylines and realized that most of the buildings were either destroyed or burning , he was amazed to see the chaos around him and simply froze again , just like the last time , but that didn’t last , because he saw creatures , much like the thing he found down in the sewers coming to him , but this time they weren’t weak and they weren’t on low numbers either , Jake took a sudden sprint , he knew that this is something else and that if he didn’t run as fast as he could he would end up being eaten by these monsters , he knew that he had to run .
