  1. A deep breath of the air said so much. The stench of blood and flesh, the nearby trash and various other smells that come with a sense of normality to the people how walked these streets daily. It was a smell she was accustomed to. His words cause her nose to wrinkle, and if she'd had time, she might have even rolled her eyes. She wasn't sure if it was a blessing or a curse for him. Every move he made intended to end the fight in a single blow. Even his attitude towards the situation held only two extremes, kill or be killed. She couldn't blame him, that was the way of the world; certainly the way of the ghouls. To go at something so headstrong and stubbornly. It'd almost remind her of herself, though she was a firm believer in going with the flow and taking things one step at a time. The faint glow to the man didn't raise her guard, nor alert her to any danger that she expected. His sudden jump as she reach the halfway point, pulled her eyes upwards. 'One last go huh?' The thought floated through her mind. To take the blow would injure her, perhaps far more than she'd care for. She'd never had any intention of throwing herself at him so recklessly. The sound of scraping concrete rumbled in her ears and she forced her bottom left kagune into the ground. The sudden shift in weight, balance, and resistance shoved her off course. As she neared him, another kagune slammed into the ground, flinging around his falling figure in a tighter radius. She hadn't expected to have such little control. Concrete wasn't a foundation that willing broke into a constant direction. None the less she'd ended up where she wanted. Her fingers would stretch as her arms flung out from her body. Her sense of smell when it came to flesh and blood was always on point. Her one certainty and something she normally found endlessly frustrating. She could find and identify who and where a cut or blood came from with relative ease. Having someone alone with her and so close by only made that fact more obvious. As such, the flesh that had been sliced open by her kagune would hang free. That's what she intended to snag on to. Of course, she was all too aware that it would hurt like hell to have skin ripped from her body.
