  1. In this .txt file I am going to write the results of my judging on Contest 3 from LOCAA.
  2.
  3. The value I give as judgement for a script is a composite value integrating five factors, which are:
  4.
  5. <50%>Gameplay: It covers the actual gameplay.
  6. <20%>Sound: It covers the BGM in the script, whether it is fitting or not, and the sound effects.
  7. <15%>Graphics: It covers the neatness of sprites, which includes Boss sprites, Bullet sprites and Player sprites, if any.
  8. <10%>Environment: It covers the sharpness of the background's images and movement. I made it a separate value from the Graphics factor because I think the background is less important than the sprites.
  9. <5%>Replayability: It covers whether I enjoyed the script enough that I am willing to play it again.
  10.
  11. All of these values are integrated into an Overall value, where each one of them corresponds to a percentage on the Overall value.
  12.
  13. Script 1: Sparen - Suicune:
  14.
  15. <85/100>Gameplay: Every spell seemed well-balanced and neat to me. The final spell, however, seems kinda dull compared to other spells in the script.
  16. <95/100>Sound: The sound effects were pretty much default, so I guess that's okay. The music seemed fitting to me, for a Pokémon fight, and a Danmaku fight, partly.
  17. <100/100>Graphics: ANIMATED SUICUNE SPRITE
  18. <70/100>Environment: The normal background was just a static and dull image. It was, however, well edited, assuming that distortion on the horizontal line where Suicune is almost all the time was on purpose. The spell background seemed just horrible to me-- not because it was just two-dimensional, but because the image used for the tiling in it was dull.
  19. <1/1>Replayability: Disregarding the flaws in the Gameplay and the Environment, I enjoyed this script and I am going to keep it.
  20.
  21. Overall: 88.5%.
  22.
  23.
  24. Script 2: Fonduemaster - Swampert:
  25.
  26. <80/100>Gameplay: I personally enjoyed the gameplay. The spells were all well-balanced in my opinion, but I felt they were overly long.
  27. <65/100>Sound: The music was unfitting. It wasn't fitting for a Danmaku game, or a Swampert battle, at all. The sound effects, however, were all really fitting for the water/ground type Swampert is.
  28. <60/100>Graphics: The sprites looked jagged and sharp. The bullets were okay, though.
  29. <70/100>Environment: Although the regular background obviously has a 3D effect that allows to contemplate depth, it's really obvious where one tile ends and the other starts because of the blue-white gradient of the original image.
  30. <0/1>Replayability: I don't want this script.
  31.
  32. Overall: 69%.
  33.
  34.
  35. Script 3: Miransu Uwabami - Banette:
  36.
  37. <100/100>Gameplay: WHY IS THIS THING SO AWESOME. I don't know how the HELL you made the bars on the sides dissapear to make the game fullscreen, but it was a nice effect. Also, you made a custom pause menu. The spellcard where the player moves by itself seems really gimmicky to me, but I'll let that pass.
  38. <100/100>Sound: The music is oddly fitting, both to a Danmaku fight and a Pokémon fight. It's more Ten Desires style, though.
  39. <95/100>Graphics: Almost everything in this script looks really well and smooth. This would have been a 100/100 if it wasn't because there is something wrong with the graphics rect on top of the arrow bullet; There is a thin black bar which becomes more obvious in the second part of the last spell.
  40. <100/100>Environment: You did an awesome job in the background; It is almost identical to SA's stage 1 background, at least to me.
  41. <1/1>Replayability: Do I want this script? Yes, yes I do.
  42.
  43. Overall: 99.25%.
