LAZWARD: Yep, that's right. How about you?

SOLEIL: I just returned from town! I think I took five girls out for tea today?

LAZWARD: Huh!? T-that many...? Wow... I'm feeling pretty crushed.

SOLEIL: Hey, no need to feel bad. Everyone has their own strengths and weaknesses. I can't dance even close to the way you do. I just don't have the head for those things. And the same goes for you and flirting.

LAZWARD: S-Soleil... you sure know how to hit a guy where it hurts. Well, being surpassed by my own lovely daughter is just what I want as a father.

SOLEIL: Ahaha, you're so silly, Dad.

LAZWARD: Hey, don't call me silly. I said you were cute because that's what I really think.

SOLEIL: I see. And that's how you landed Mom. Oh, and while we're on the subject... I asked this before, but how'd you propose to Mom?

LAZWARD: Ugh...! I-I'd rather not say. It's pretty embarrassing.

SOLEIL: Don't worry about that. It's even more embarassing for me to ask how you and Mom got together.

LAZWARD: Then maybe you should ask in the first place...

SOLEIL: But I like talking with you, Dad. We could never do this in the secluded lands.

LAZWARD: Sorry, for leaving you all by yourself, Soleil...

SOLEIL: Nah, don't worry about it. I'm happy enough that we can get together like this now.

LAZWARD: Ahaha, thanks. Oh, I know. How about we build up our father-daughter relationship by having some tea together?

SOLEIL: Hooray! Let's do it! I've got tons of things I wanna ask you! Like how to fight stylishly! Now that I'm here, I gotta know how to fight!

LAZWARD: Fighting, huh...? I'd rather not let you do such dangerous things...

SOLEIL: What's up with that!? I don't wanna just sit around and do nothing. You know how I am better than anyone else, right, Dad?

LAZWARD: Heheh. I guess so... Now, shall we get going?

SOLEIL: Dad... Sorry... I said I wanted to help out in battle, but... I messed up...

LAZWARD: Don't worry about that. What I'm worried about is... Soleil... why'd you endanger yourself like that? Jumping in between me and the enemy... One wrong step would've cost you your life!

SOLEIL: B-but... I thought you'd be in danger too! Last time we had tea, you said you said you were bad at handling attacks that came in diagonally, from behind. And that guy... that's where he was attacking from...

LAZWARD: That's no reason for you to get hurt. Don't worry about me, just look after yourself on the battlefield.

SOLEIL: I... I don't wanna... I want to protect you, Dad. I don't wanna let you die...

LAZWARD: I don't wanna let you die either. Listen to what your dad says.

SOLEIL: I'm not gonna...

LAZWARD: Soleil!

SOLEIL: You don't get it, Dad! You understand how I feel!

LAZWARD: Huh...?

SOLEIL: I... I was so lonely. And scared, too. Whenever I looked at your back as you left the secluded land, I thought that maybe that would be the last time I ever got to see you, that maybe you wouldn't come back ever again. That's why I wanted to protect you mself as soon as we got to fight together! I don't want you to die, no matter what!

LAZWARD: ... I do understand.

SOLEIL: No you don't...

LAZWARD: I do too. I understand how you feel, Soleil.  You see... Back when I was a kid, both my parents died in battle. My dad went off to war and never came home. And my mom died before my eyes, protecting me.

SOLEIL: !!

LAZWARD: That's why I was scared. I didn't want to lose you, too. But you were scared too, weren't you? I'm sorry for doing that to you. Thanks for saving me... and for keeping youirself alive.

SOLEIL: You... felt the same way I did...?

LAZWARD: Yeah. But, after I became your dad, I came to understand how my own mom and dad felt too. They wanted to protect their kid, even if it cost them their own life.

SOLEIL: I... I don't want that!

LAZWARD: I know. I won't die, I promise.

SOLEIL: But... promises-

LAZWARD: Are you gonna say they don't mean anything on the battlefield? You don't trust me, Soleil?

SOLEIL: That's... not how it is... but...

LAZWARD: Thanks. I believe in you too. I believe that you won't lose to anyone, no matter who you're up against... So I can fight without worrying for you.

SOLEIL: Dad...

LAZWARD: So, you just look out your yourself. And don't you dare die on me. I won't die either... Trust me.

SOLEIL: ... Fine. I trust you, Dad. I won't do that stuff aynmore.

LAZWARD: Soleil...

SOLEIL: So... you've gotta stay with me forever, alright? Don't leave me all alone. If you go off anywhere and I never see you again, I'll really hate you.

LAZWARD: Yeah, you bet. If that's what you want, I'll stay with you forever.

SOLEIL: Hooray!

SOLEIL: That was great, Dad!

LAZWARD: Huh...!?

SOLEIL: But maybe that spin needs some work. And I think it looks prettier if you keep your fingers out until like the middle part!

LAZWARD: ...

SOLEIL: Dad?

LAZWARD: Oh... Sorry. A girl about your age said the same thing to me once, a little while back.

SOLEIL: Oh? Who was it? Mom? Or was it one of the girls you were dating...?

LAZWARD: Bzzt! Wrong. But you... you resemble her. She was strong, kind... and always thinking of me.

SOLEIL: Hmmm, I bet Mom would be pretty angry if she heard you.

LAZWARD: No, she wouldn't. After all, the one who said it was my mom. Your grandma.

SOLEIL: Oh, then that's fine. I mean, she is your relative and all.
... Hm? Grandma? And she said it just a little while back...? But wasn't she supposed to be dead?

LAZWARD: Yeah, but I got to meet her again, back when she was about the same age as you and me.

SOLEIL: Huh!? ... What's that mean? My brain's getting messed up.

LAZWARD: I'll tell you about it someday, Soleil. I'll tell you about everything once this battle's over. When that time comes... you'll have to choose. Whether you want to stay here, or return to my original world together.

SOLEIL: Your original world...?

LAZWARD: I want to be with you forever... But, someday, a force too powerful for me to overcome might make that impossible...

SOLEIL: ...

LAZWARD: S-Soleil...! I'm actually-

SOLEIL: Dad, let's go for some tea!

LAZWARD: Huh!? What's this all of a sudden?

SOLEIL: You looked like something was bothering you, so I was gonna take you out for some tea and cheer you up!

LAZWARD: But-

SOLEIL: You don't have to tell me. We can wait until you think it's the right time to discuss it. But for now, let's just forget it all and have some fun! I mean, I'm having a blast! I've got you, and all the others, and we're all happy together. I'm having so much fun I can't even think of anything else.

LAZWARD: Soleil...

SOLEIL: What's what that look, Dad!? Not happy that you're getting some tea? C'mon, you don't get asked out by your own daughter every day, you know!

LAZWARD: Yeah... you're right. I'm happy too.

SOLEIL: Glad to hear it! Now that that's settled, I'm gonna go get us some girls! The more girls, the merrier, don't you agree, Dad?

LAZWARD: Nah, we don't need that today. For today, I'd like to have tea alone with you... Is that alright?

SOLEIL: Aw, fine. You sure know what a girl wants to hear, Dad!

LAZWARD: Ahaha, thanks, Soleil.

SOLEIL: Don't mention it! I'm happy as long as you're smiling too!
