                                   I Believe

I believe opportunities are essentials to everyone, they are available for everyone to take. Recently, I’ve received a great opportunity to attend this school. The school offers plenty of extra curriculum classes that will allow you to achieve your goals. I take all opportunities, opportunities exists in our life because they will never comeback.
    When my family flew over the world to America, from Korea, we imagined a great opportunity. However, there were a lot of disadvantaged and advantages when we immigrated to the United States, we had no knowledge of the traditional language. This was also a great opportunity for our family, to familiarize our brains with a new language. When me and my brother started attending school, we’ve started to migrate to the traditions of the US. When we first saw this enormous modern building, I was worried. I was afraid to walk into the doors at first because they’d obviously speak in English, during that time, I didn’t speak, read, or write in English. All I knew was the alphabet, nothing else. All this applies to my brother too. So, when I put my hands on the cold, metal knob, the chills flew through my body. I knew that day was going to be difficult, I knew that I wouldn’t know where to go. I take my first steps into the schools and I start to see students walking around with their book bags. inside the main hallway, I see this teacher specifically waiting for our arrival. This lady gave us a brief school tour, the hallways were small compared to Korea, there was only one floor, while we had multiple in our home town. After the brief tour, we were told to choose our class. I had no idea what they were talking about, but I just knew that they were asking us to choose our class. After my brother chose his class, we went to pick mine. This gave me an another opportunity to make new friends, learn a new language, just start all fresh. As soon as I picked the class, I saw a bunch of kids just staring at me, my heart was beating faster than ever, I was nervous. I was quickly introduced to the classmates that will enroll with me throughout the year.
    During this time, I didn't have a life philosophy, I didn’t even know what that meant, but now I do. Always take your opportunities because they are there for a reason. It may not end very successfully, but it’s sure worth it. I will never forget this huge opportunity our family took, we had sacrificed person to person communication with our relative for this opportunity. There is no going back now, right now, I can say that all things in life change when you receive and take opportunities.
