- Sadamoto Interview
- The actual flow of the story may not have been understood. I do so many of the battle scenes, so I put myself at the center of war with an enemy. My consideration is what or with whom or how many may be in the distance, something like that. As for the story and setting, I honestly do not know. I do not involve myself with new characters, because I put myself in the place of combat personnel. However, the leopard alwats gets his lunch, so I do not worry about it. I was fine marching to the beat of a different drummer.

- Modern video is fast and dizzy
- It has been difficult to portray outer space. A new design for representation and movement was necessary for this work.
- The opening musical arrangement has been designed around this representation. We use classical music when things are calm, and switch to dissonance mixed with contemporary music to keep it fresh.
- The portrayal is brought out plausibly and thoroughly expresses this world. It will feel as though you are having fun playing with the action on the screen. The tempo is very fast, so if you turn your head, you might miss something the first time around.
- The hydrodynamics of the ship is very well done. I would not have been able to match the curved movements of the ship without ties which are something I try to avoid. The color sense is also done well; it is easy to identify the characters even in the faster moving scenes.

- Shinji Higuchi (Q statements):
- Last year, for a little over a year, storyboards and image boards worked separate from each other. The result was a leap of evolution that set us in the right direction and exceeded the studio's expectations. Cagiva Djikara (火事場ヂカラ) was impressed every time, but this time, it inspired us to go even further.
- What kind of story have you imagined telling where some of the people will make a fuss, saying "No, no, this is not my Eva", and wishing they made their own? This is different than watching a remake of Godzilla, Yamamoto, or Narenohate. I have been waiting for this opportunity forever.
