  1. Hey guys, just recently assembled a new computer and it won't seem to turn on. I've checked and made sure all plugs are plugged in, my power supply is the right wattage and have tried booting with just one stick of ram in each module. As it is right now the cpu fan moves 1/10 an inch and then stops moving at all. I believe it's a problem with the motherboard or the cpu but I'm not sure which. Also I tried running a paperclip test with just the case fans plugged into the motherboard and the case fans started up meaning the motherboard is receiving at least some power. Out of curiosity I tried running the paperclip test with just the 8 pin ATX cpu pins plugged in and the fans wouldn't start at all.

  3. I'm really confused as to what the problem is.
