- Setting Up Multiplayer
- This will be a quick guide, I'll flesh it out some more later on with images, helpful things and troubleshooting tips!
- Run starbound_server.exe in your Starbound directory. It's likely C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\starbound, but if it isn't you can right click the game in Steam and find its directory.
- Load the game, click "Multiplayer" in the main menu
- Type your IP or server address into the box and click "Join" (Find your IP address)
- Invite your friends to connect too!
- If this doesn't work, you may need to forward port 21025. For info on how to forward ports on your router, check this link.
- Forming a Party
- Once you're in-game, you and your friends will be on different ships! Their portraits should appear on the left side of the screen, and you can click the + icon next to them to add them to your party.
- Once you're in a party with someone, you can warp to their ship by clicking on their portrait.
