- How to register friends on the 3DS and trade in Pokémon X/Y/OR/AS
- 1. Go to the home menu
- 2. On the top of the bottom screen, tap the square orange smiley face
- 3. Tap "Register Friend"
- 4. Enter your friend's friend code (you'll need them to tell you theirs)
- 5. Your friend now needs to register your friend code. To find it, scroll to the side where you'll see a card with your mii and a code. This is your friend code. Make sure your friend also registers it
- 6. You can now go onto your game and trade with the PSS. It helps to also know your friend's IGN (in-game name) so you can find them easily on your friends list.
