  3. (2:17:01 PM) Positronium: Everett walks out of the mess hall and starts jogging toward the Helipad.

  10. (2:33:34 PM) ShockwaveLover: In short order, the sound of rotor blades carries clearly to those at the pad.
  11. (2:35:03 PM) ShockwaveLover: A sleek, grey helicopter descends from the sky, throwing up clouds of snow as it does so.
  12. (2:35:23 PM) Magnolia: Monty shivers in the cold, shielding his face from the snow clouds
  13. (2:35:28 PM) TheRaven: "Damn, nice chopper."
  14. (2:36:11 PM) ShockwaveLover: It hovers above the surface of the pad, the pilot obviously taking the time to judge his or her landing.
  15. (2:36:27 PM) Positronium: "You won't hear me argue that point."

  17. (2:37:01 PM) ShockwaveLover: Then, with a soft thud, the wheels hit the ground.
  18. (2:37:07 PM) Magnolia: "It i-is a f-fantasic machine."
  19. (2:37:56 PM) ShockwaveLover: The whine of the engine slowly lowers, but there's no movement from inside.

  22. (2:39:19 PM) ShockwaveLover: No response.
  23. (2:39:33 PM) Positronium: "Waiting for us?"
  24. (2:39:45 PM) ShockwaveLover: Rotor blades gather snow as they slow to a halt.
  25. (2:39:49 PM) TheRaven left the room (quit: NickServ (GHOST command used by Ravinoff)).

  27. (2:40:04 PM) Magnolia: Monty watches the machine cautiously.
  28. (2:40:43 PM) ShockwaveLover: As the windstorm dies down, a rear door slides open.
  29. (2:41:27 PM) ShockwaveLover: Out jumps a short, stout man, heavily rugged up, wearing a flat cap.
  30. (2:41:48 PM) bananaman: Ralph gets into his winter gear and starts heading out to the helipad
  31. (2:41:51 PM) Magnolia: Monty waves
  32. (2:42:17 PM) ShockwaveLover: He pulls the door fully open, allowing a second, much taller man, to alight.
  33. (2:43:15 PM) ShockwaveLover: They stand there for a moment, the taller man regarding the site and tightening a scarf.
  34. (2:44:08 PM) ShockwaveLover: Then, he sighs and gestures to his shorter companion. They start walking over.
  35. (2:44:10 PM) Magnolia: "H-hello?" he jumps slightly
  36. (2:47:17 PM) ShockwaveLover: The tall man stops and regards the Poolboys, as if seeing them for the first time. "These must be the help. Mr Ricigliano, get them organised, if you would. I do not wish to be here any longer than is necessary."
  37. (2:47:33 PM) TheRaven: "What's going on?"
  38. (2:47:42 PM) ShockwaveLover: He keeps walking, ignoring them.
  39. (2:48:10 PM) bananaman: Ralph is walking towards the helipad. How long until he sees this dude?
  40. (2:48:10 PM) Magnolia: Monty glares, regarding the two men.
  41. (2:48:53 PM) ShockwaveLover: 'Mr Ricigliano' steps forward. "Awright, you lot, come wit' me."
  42. (2:49:07 PM) Positronium: Everett steps forward.
  43. (2:49:37 PM) ShockwaveLover: The other man stops just off the pad.

  45. (2:50:10 PM) ShockwaveLover: Mr Ricigliano turns back towards the chopper. "Got a lot ta do, and not much time ta do it in, capiche?"
  46. (2:50:11 PM) Magnolia: "M-may we a-ask who you a-are?" his head twists to the side
  47. (2:51:05 PM) ShockwaveLover: "No."
  48. (2:51:15 PM) TheRaven: "What's going on."
  49. (2:51:35 PM) ShockwaveLover: He jumps up into the helicopter, and starts collecting bags. "Come and grab these."
  50. (2:51:59 PM) bananaman: Ralph shows up on the scene. "What's up over here?"
  51. (2:52:01 PM) Positronium: "What's in them?"
  52. (2:52:06 PM) Magnolia: "T-two men in a f-fancy ch-chopper are demanding we g-go with them, and w-will not inform u-us why."
  53. (2:52:36 PM) ShockwaveLover: "Delicate 'quipment. So treat it carefully."
  54. (2:52:41 PM) Magnolia: at Taggart. "C-could not be c-clearer."
  55. (2:53:09 PM) bananaman: Ralph turns to the people. "Who are you folks?"
  56. (2:53:42 PM) Magnolia: "W-we are apparently n-not allowed to a-ask."
  57. (2:53:51 PM) ShockwaveLover: The tall man at the edge of the pad calls back irritably. "Mr Ricigliano, what the devil is the hold-up? We've not got all day to survey this godforsaken site."

  59. (2:54:20 PM) ShockwaveLover: "Getting it done now, Mr Lambart."
  60. (2:55:13 PM) bananaman: "survey?"
  61. (2:55:13 PM) ShockwaveLover: Everett is suddenly the proud owner of a theodolite, courtesy of Mr Ricigliano. "Take that, and set it up wait for me to come set it up."
  62. (2:55:15 PM) Positronium: "Surveying.." Everett walks over and begins to helo.
  63. (2:55:41 PM) ShockwaveLover: "Come on, you lot, it ain't dat cold."\

  65. (2:56:25 PM) ShockwaveLover: More items are passed out. A small folding table, postal tubes, and some bags of unidentified equipment.

  67. (2:57:44 PM) ShockwaveLover: "Mr Ricigliano, I think we shall start by this 'Pool' of theirs. That is the main thrust of the site, is it not?"

  69. (2:58:27 PM) ShockwaveLover: Monty has a folding table, Taggart has some bags and Ralph is holding the tubes.

  76. (3:00:05 PM) ShockwaveLover: When everyone has something, Mr Lambart starts walking. "I'll need sheets 1 and 6, Mr Ricigliano."
  77. (3:00:10 PM) TheRaven: "Look, if all you're doing is looking around, I've got better shit to do than chaperone you lot around."
  78. (3:00:52 PM) ShockwaveLover: At that Mr Lambart stops. "Better things to do, you say?"
  79. (3:00:59 PM) bananaman: Ralph looks to Eric. "oh hi Eric, didn't see you come in."
  80. (3:01:15 PM) ShockwaveLover: He turns around, pulling down his scarf. For the first time, you can actually see his face.

  91. (3:04:30 PM) TheRaven: "You got the blueprints for the original site? Rebuilt that, take the goddamn helipad off the roof and replace it with a couple remote weapons stations, done."

  95. (3:06:32 PM) ShockwaveLover: He seems offended at the suggestion. "You don't deserve it, but you will be getting the best Containment site ever built."
  96. (3:06:47 PM) Magnolia: "Did y-your parents never t-treat you r-respect?" a controlled rage seethes through his words.
  97. (3:06:51 PM) Jekeled: Eric raises his hand. "Will it be pink?"

  99. (3:07:32 PM) bananaman: "Are you going to make it any less susceptable to giant UFO crashes?"
  100. (3:07:48 PM) ShockwaveLover: He ways them away. "Questions can come later. For now, we are short on daylight, and long on tasks. Mr Ricigliano, sheets 1 and 6, please."

  102. (3:08:33 PM) Positronium: Everett grimaces as he helps set up the equipment.
  103. (3:08:41 PM) ShockwaveLover: The short man steps up to Ralph, and takes a tube. He mutters "Sorry." in a tone just low enough to escape his bosses ears.

  105. (3:09:32 PM) Magnolia: Monty helps him set up as well, muttering to himself, "I-if this savage will b-be building our n-new base, I th-think I might prefer to do r-research in a c-cave."

  107. (3:10:18 PM) TheRaven: Taggart starts assembling whatever, muttering something about "worthless jackass..."
  108. (3:10:56 PM) Garaway left the room (quit: Quit: http://www.mibbit.com ajax IRC Client).
  109. (3:11:06 PM) ShockwaveLover: The tube is handed to the architect, who takes out blueprints and spreads them open on it. "Alright, I will need that theodolite...here. And a reflector placed in the south-east corner. Have you got the cameras, Mr Ricigliano? Good. Get someone up on that slope."
  110. (3:12:03 PM) Jekeled: Eric wonders if he can install any secret passages or safes into the site while it's being built. Preferably in med.
  111. (3:12:09 PM) ShockwaveLover: "Right you are, Mr Lambart."
  112. (3:12:59 PM) ShockwaveLover: A controlled bout of chaos ensues. Eric and Taggart are handed cameras, and told to climb a nearby slope, overlooking the Pool site.
  113. (3:13:04 PM) bananaman: Ralph's face tries out several expressions for the current situation, settling on exhasperated confusion
  114. (3:13:53 PM) ShockwaveLover: "These are very expensive, so be careful. Just flip out the tripods and hit that green button when I tell you to."
  115. (3:14:13 PM) ShockwaveLover: Ralph is conscripted to pass blueprints when requested.
  116. (3:14:45 PM) ShockwaveLover: Monty is given a reflector and a set of GPS co-ordinates. "Set it up with the reflector facing us."
  117. (3:14:51 PM) TheRaven: Taggart heads out, still grumbling.
  118. (3:14:53 PM) Jekeled: Eric starts climbing the slope
  119. (3:15:22 PM) ShockwaveLover: And Everett gets a crash course in theodolite assembly and operation, courtesy of Mr Ricigliano.
  120. (3:15:32 PM) bananaman: Ralph holds the blueprints and tries to look busy as possible.

  143. (3:22:31 PM) bananaman: Ralph is engrossed in pretending to read the blueprints, so he doesn't notice.

  145. (3:22:51 PM) Magnolia: Monty returns from setting up the reflector, "S-some of us are s-scientists."
  146. (3:22:54 PM) TheRaven: "I'm a sharpshooter, not a goddamned mountain climber."
  147. (3:22:55 PM) Jekeled: "I'll remember that if you ever need medical care here."
  148. (3:23:04 PM) Jekeled: "Trust me, that'll be a fun surgery"

  157. (3:26:00 PM) Magnolia: "S-so, what are you m-measuring this distance f-for?" he holds one hand behind his back in a gesture of dominance, his normally slumped shoulders standing tall, revealing his height, with his other hand he gestures to the reflector he just set up.
  158. (3:26:38 PM) ShockwaveLover: "I need to see if the height and depth readings have changed since there was a survey done."
  159. (3:26:51 PM) ShockwaveLover: "Mr Ricigliano, what have we got?"
  160. (3:27:15 PM) ShockwaveLover: "Looks to be the same, Mr Lambart. Within the margin of error."
  161. (3:28:04 PM) ShockwaveLover: "Alright. Move it to the next location."
  162. (3:28:25 PM) ShockwaveLover: Mr Ricigliano nods at Monty. He has an apologetic look on his face.
  163. (3:28:40 PM) Magnolia: "Y-you need the r-retro-r-reflector moved?"
  164. (3:28:56 PM) ShockwaveLover: "Yes. And this time, don't come back until I say so."
  165. (3:29:21 PM) ShockwaveLover: "Mr Ricigliano, perhaps your friend there could help Punch and Judy up on the slope?"
  166. (3:29:28 PM) ShockwaveLover: He points at Everett.
  167. (3:29:56 PM) Magnolia: his dominating gesture breaks momentarily as his arm shakes violently behind him, quickly returning, he nods and lowers his arm, walking out to the reflector, letting his shoulders slump once he believes he's a significant distance away.

  169. (3:30:36 PM) ShockwaveLover: "You, I need sheets 3 and 7."
  170. (3:31:06 PM) ShockwaveLover: A new set of co-ordinates appears on Monty's PDA.
  171. (3:31:12 PM) bananaman: Ralph fumbles with the sheets, dropping one in the snow.
  172. (3:31:15 PM) Positronium: Everett frowns and walks over to the hill the others are having so much difficulty with.
  173. (3:31:18 PM) bananaman: "Fuck."
  174. (3:31:26 PM) ShockwaveLover: "Language, please."
  175. (3:31:48 PM) ShockwaveLover: Mr Ricigliano chews on an unlit cigar, sighting in the theodolite.
  176. (3:31:52 PM) bananaman: He picks it up and hands the slighly damp blueprints over.
  177. (3:32:20 PM) ShockwaveLover: "Now, where was your previous shooting range?"
  178. (3:32:40 PM) ShockwaveLover: Everett, how are you going to help these two up the slope?
  179. (3:32:57 PM) ShockwaveLover: They're clearly not having much luck.
  180. (3:34:06 PM) Positronium: Everett offers to take Taggart's burden up the hill for him.
  181. (3:34:25 PM) TheRaven: "Get Eric's, he's worse."
  182. (3:34:43 PM) Jekeled: Eric flips off taggart
  183. (3:35:23 PM) Positronium: "If you insist." Everett walks over to Eric. "Do either of you have a rope on you?"
  184. (3:36:39 PM) Jekeled: No.
  185. (3:36:55 PM) ShockwaveLover: Lambart takes out a small pair of binoculars. "I see the reflector is nearly in position. None too soon. Dashed sunlight's fading fast."
  186. (3:36:58 PM) TheRaven: "Not me."
  187. (3:38:00 PM) Positronium: "That would have made things easier. Oh well." He offers to take the camera from Eric.
  188. (3:38:00 PM) Magnolia: Monty has set up the reflector, and turns it towards them
  189. (3:38:13 PM) ShockwaveLover: "There we go. Mr Ricigliano?"
  190. (3:38:23 PM) bananaman: Ralph scrunches his face, then sneezes, his frozen boogerscicles bouncing off the blueprints.
  191. (3:38:41 PM) ShockwaveLover: A short pause, and then: "Looks to have sunken a bit. Maybe...half a meter?"
  192. (3:39:14 PM) ShockwaveLover: "Not unexpected. Alright. Send the next set of co-ordinates."
  193. (3:39:27 PM) ShockwaveLover: Monty gets his next destination.
  194. (3:39:47 PM) ShockwaveLover: Lambart turns back to the blueprints. "Now, where was-"
  195. (3:39:50 PM) Magnolia: Monty promptly moves the retroreflector.
  196. (3:40:16 PM) ShockwaveLover: Ralph gets a scorching glare.
  197. (3:41:16 PM) bananaman: Ralph shrugs sheepishly. "my bad..."
  198. (3:41:17 PM) ShockwaveLover: "Would you /please/ refrain from spreading your...disgusting habits across my work?" He asks, through clenched teeth.
  199. (3:42:03 PM) ShockwaveLover: "Youse guys got those cameras up yet?" Mr Ricigliano calls.
  200. (3:43:24 PM) Positronium: Everett looks expectantly at the two sitting figures.
  201. (3:45:55 PM) ShockwaveLover: "Good lord, if you're all this useless, I can see why your site got destroyed. Give me strength..."
  202. (3:46:39 PM) Magnolia: Monty would resent being called useless if he were not far away getting everything set up, he turns the set up reflector back towards them
  203. (3:47:17 PM) TheRaven: Taggart has presumably set up the thing.
  204. (3:47:27 PM) ShockwaveLover: "New reading, Mr Lambart. Looks like this one's lower as well. 80cm."
  205. (3:47:52 PM) ShockwaveLover: The two of them are still sitting at the bottom of the slope, having not moved since sliding down.
