  1. Hours has passed, and I was no closer to figuring out where she'd got to. The sky outside was fading into afternoon shades already. Was there even much point in finding her now? The day was more or less over, and the only work I needed to do today was easily done without her. Feeling slightly defeated, I decided it was probably best to head back to the Student Council room. At the very least I could get that done right today. Stopping by Misha's door one more time on the way, it was unsurprisingly unresponsive. Where had that girl got to? At this rate, it was looking like I'd have to ask her tomorrow. If she turned up that is.
  2. It bugged me how little idea I had where she could have got to, especially considering the girl rarely leaves my side. She definitely hadn't mentioned being away today to me; in fact, we were so busy last night we were both exhausted by the time we left. Misha didn't even wait for me before walking back, which was odd. Nothing she hadn't done before, though. Even with the festival out of the way, it feels like we still have so much work to do, and with only the two of us to do it? It's a wonder we can meet it all and come out on top. Misha struggles with classes sometimes, but blaming it on her wouldn't be entirely fair. Again, I find myself slightly annoyed Hisao had passed on joining us. Am I really that unpleasant to work with? Maybe with Misha away for a day everybody had a nice day, not having to hear me. Eugh. I could already feel myself getting tense and annoyed. This was the last thing I needed on my mind if I was going to get any work done. I made a mental note to buy a cold drink on the way; the Council room was undoubtedly going to be stuffy and warm anyway.
  3. One short detour later, I found myself outside the Council space. I slid the key into the lock as usual, the room's stale air greeting me unpleasantly.First order of business was definitely opening a window. The desks were still littered with forms and sheets from the previous night (sadly dwarfed by the stack to be done today), as well as various bits of packaging and litter. The previous night had been a long one indeed, with both me and Misha taking our meals in here whilst we worked, and I'd almost forgotten how much mess we'd left behind in our hurry to get back before curfew. Letting in some fresh air was a good start to cleaning this mess up; and sure enough, with a slight budge to the window a cool afternoon breeze set to work making the room habitable. Last nights mess wasn't going to blow away, though. I gathered up the various bits of rubbish and guided them to the resting place in the trash, before setting to work getting last night's forms to theirs. It seemed like we had paperwork for everything.
  4. Eventually, I slid the stack of work for today over to a lonely chair and took a seat. It was an imposingly large body of work, yes; but I wasn't Student Council president for nothing. Though, admittedly, I usually had Misha to delegate to. Zero delegates did not make for a promising night. At that point, as if looking for any distraction from the sheets before me, I noticed something stirring beside the tall filing cabinet in the far corner of the room. It was the large jacket Misha often brought with her when we worked late. And sure enough, beneath its leathery exterior, something was shifting. Something with messy, bubblegum-pink hair. Something that was slowly waking up.
  5. I pulled back the jacket, unsurprisingly revealed a rather tired and messy looking interpreter. She glared up at me blankly for a few seconds, mouthing something unintelligible before rubbing her eyes and looking down at the jacket she'd been under. I sheepishly palmed the room keys in my pocket as the pieces fell into place in my mind. Her confused eyes went from the jacket upto mine.
  6. [Shiichan?]
  7. I could feel my cheeks flushing red as I tried to figure out how to apologise for imprisoning my best friend in here all night. And people already called me a harsh leader...
