  1. The Royal Road Builder.
  2. The World of Versailles has recently endured a worldwide war that shook the continents and shattered empires. Legends were created and torn apart as great powers fought for supremacy, the sky was split open and the ground shattered apart as superweapons were used with reckless abandon. In the end, nothing was left standing. Once great factions had been shattered and their survivors had been left scattered amongst the four winds as a broken people. Centuries have passed and fledgling kingdoms have begun taking shape, but the power vacuum left behind by the previous era still remains. And now, individuals with a strange resurrection ability have begun to appear, the common folk have begun to call these people, Inheritors. You are one of these people. Will you follow the road to rule or be trampled upon it by the one that will?

  4. Alright so it will work like this. You will pick a name and you will choose a race. Your race will greatly affect how the world reacts to you. You can only be humanoid races and the more creative you are with your fluff the better the bonuses that you will get starting off. The world population has recovered to about 1,000,000 people of different races. The largest Kingdoms have around 60,000 citizens and most standing armies are around 20,000 strong. The power balance is so unstable that occasionally kingdoms are founded and destroyed in the span of a month. Whenever one kingdom grows too powerful the other kingdoms would always ally to destroy it and so an endless cycle of warfare has ensued for the past century. The ruins and dungeons of the past era attract many adventurers and expeditions due to them containing valuable treasures and powerful artifacts, but most of these endeavors end in failure or death. Monsters of all shapes and sizes constantly raid settlements and occasionally overthrow kingdoms.

  6. This is a Hero Builder that can turn into a Nation Builder as well. You will always control your hero but you have the possibility of taking over or creating your own kingdom, but be warned. The other kingdoms are wary of upstarts like yourself, especially since you are one of the Inheritors. You will have a profession assigned to you based on your fluff but it can be changed based on your actions in the world.

  8. As an inheritor you have a great resistance to death, but that doesn’t mean that you don’t lose anything. When you die you will “respawn” 24 hours after your death in someplace safe, however, you will lose some of whatever you have on you, maybe just your armor, a sword or just some coins. You will also find yourself a bit weaker so you would do well to take caution.
  9.
  10. You must start near or inside of one of the established kingdoms. The rest of the world is unknown to you, and the few who have traveled beyond the central continent have never returned, will you be the first?
