>Game will release in three different versions:
	>Standard: Base game  -  $60
	>Digital Deluxe: 3 DLC characters, Power Girl skin and alternate color palette  -  $80
	>Ultimate: 9 DLC Characters, Power Girl, Zoom and John Stewart skins and two alternate color palettes  -  $100
>Injustice 2 is not region locked
>Characters will be customizable through the Gear system (armor pieces with different cosmetics and stats that you get after fights)
>Characters level up after fights, gain tokens and gear is dropped randomly after a every match
>Gear pieces vary in cosmetic style both for the costume and moves, stat increases, miscellaneous effects (I.E. increase/decrease interactable damage) and some add new moves to a character when equipped
>Boon confirmed that people will NOT be able to buy overpowered/better gear through microtransactions
>You also cannot purchase regular in game currency or loot boxes (called Mother Boxes) with real money
>There is a microtransaction system in place in the form of Source Crystals which can be bought with real money but will have no gameplay effect
>These are used purely for time saving and visual stuff like buying shaders, leveling up other characters to 20 after you do it once with another character and transferring stats to a different piece of gear
>Source Crystals are basically a shortcut to skip grinding since everything you can buy with them can be unlocked through normal gameplay
>Online will use GGPO like MKXL
>There will be a "Tournament mode" for players who don't want to use the Gear system. In it all gear stats and abilities are turned off and settings are automatically set to what they would be for official tournament play
>King of the Hill mode is returning
>There is a new single player mode called Multiverse mode, an ever changing series of fights with different modifiers similar to the Living Towers from MKX which can be used to earn Mother Boxes and rare gear
>Multiverse mode also contains this game's arcade mode as it's own dedicated multiverse
>Multiverse mode will be updated daily with new events and challenges to complete including character specific challenges that will wok on a rotating schedule
>Another new mode is the AI Battle Simulator. In it you customize the gear and AI behavior of a team of three computer players to fight other customized teams made by other players and earn gear for you
>Story mode is said to be longer than Injustice 1 and MKX
>Gear cannot be used during story mode but you can still unlock pieces by playing it
>Certain chapters of story mode will allow you to select which character you would like to fight as
>Gear system will will not affect tourney play according to Boon
>For casual matches things like Gear, Interactables, Arena Transisitons and Level handicaps can be turned on or off. However both players must agree to turn any of these features off individually, if one wants to keep them on then they will remain on for both players.
>For ranked online gear stats will be turned off but the visual changes of any equipped gear will remain unaffected
>Gear is chosen in parts that vary between characters, basic format being: Head, Arms, Chest, Legs, Miscellaneous and Shaders
>There are also two slots for unique abilities that will change a fighters moves. This can be as simple as slight variations on their default specials or it can give them completely new moves. Some of the stronger ones will take up both ability slots when selected.
>There will be special types of Shaders that change characters in to other characters when equipped with their own unique voices and dialogue
>Premier Skins Confirmed so far: Reverse Flash, Power Girl, John Stewart, Mr. Freeze, Jay Garrick, Vixen and Grid
>These premier skins work by covering up your regular character and their gear when selected. However any equipped gear's stats will still be in effect with the skins on over them.
>DLC characters will be getting gear
>New gear will be added to the game as time goes on
>Gear can also be obtained through loot crates called Mother Boxes
>Takes place in the Injustice universe 2 years after the first game, comic confirmed canon with the game referencing events that took place only in the comic. Batman and friends are still fighting Regime remnants when Brainiac appears to threaten the Earth
>Supergirl shows up in-between games with an altered origin
>Confirmed characters: Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Aquaman, Harley Quinn, Supergirl, Gorilla Grodd, Blue Beetle (Jaime), Deadshot, Atrocitus, Black Canary, Robin (Damian), Green Lantern (Hal), Cyborg, Green Arrow, Catwoman, Cheetah, Captain Cold, Poison Ivy, Bane, Scarecrow, Black Adam, Swamp Thing, Firestorm, Dr. Fate, Joker, Brainiac and Darkseid
>DLC Characters confirmed so far: Red Hood, Starfire, Sub-Zero
>The DLC reveal showed silhouettes for what looked like Black Manta, Raiden and four more ambiguous characters. Whether or not these are just placeholders remains to be seen.
>A leaker claiming to have worked on the mobile version of the game listed the rest of the roster in December. It has been completely confirmed legit.
>Boon has said that fan feedback is a major factor in what characters get added to the roster with Blue Beetle being a specific example
>Boon has said they'll be continuing the trend of their games having more and more DLC characters with each game and that "they'd be stupid not to do guests again, but it probably won't be Scorpion this time."
>Stages: Metropolis, Gotham, Arkham Asylum, Slaughter Swamp, Batcave, Gorilla City, Kahndaq, Fortress of Solitude, Red Sun Prison, Atlantis, Joker's Playground and Brainiac's Skull Ship
>Stages will still have a maximum of three stages that can be transitioned between and some stages will be static with no transitions
>Matches now start with MKX style character banter
>Hal's shaders will also change the lantern logo on his chest to the corresponding corps
>All major gameplay elements from the first game are confirmed to be returning including Clashes, back to block, supers, traits, stage interactables and transitions
>Fighters can now dodge roll out of combos and can use a full screen dash by burning meter
>Tom Taylor is returning to write the Injustice 2 tie-in comic once Year Five ends. Comic will take place in the two years between games with Batman taking up the task of rebuilding society in the aftermath of the Regime
>A new mobile app for Injustice 2 released on May 11th using the DC Legends style of gameplay
>Connecting the mobile and console games unlocks the Grid skin for Cyborg
>In November Boon held multiple Twitter polls regarding potential future guest characters for Injustice 2 from Mortal Kombat, Watchmen and various non-DC properties. The results were all pretty definitive with every winner having a significant lead over the other choices.
>The MK poll listed Sub-Zero, Raiden, Jax and Johnny Cage. Sub-Zero won in a landslide with Johnny and Raiden being close together in second and third while Jax was dead last
>The non-DC poll listed Spawn, Hellboy, Terminator and Buffy. The results were similar with Spawn being the big winner, Hellboy farther back in second with Buffy right behind him and Terminator at the bottom
>The Watchmen poll differed by just asking if fans wanted any characters from the franchise in the game at all and the vast majority responded that yes they would in fact want them in
