- **Who Are You?**
- I'm GameJ06 (thats the number zero, not the letter O), but usually am called Big Jon
- **What games do you play?**
- In 2016, the games i'm focusing on and learning in speedrun style are:
- + Lost Levels (SNES)
- + Super Mario Land 1/2
- + Mega Man X
- + Kirby'd Dream Course
- + Resident Evil 3
- + Resident Evil 1
- + Sonic (some 2d version)
- Other than that, I'm mainly a retro streamer. No Call of Duty and World of Warcraft here. Hand me an NES or Sega Controller and lets get to the days of the late 80's and 90's
- **Why Are You Called BigJon**
- Because my name is Jon and I'm 6'4.5" tall, I guess is the reasoning.
- **Why Are You?**
- Because My Momma and Daddy made me
- **Are you black?**
- Nah, more so caramel colored. I'm part Samoan. But come to think of it, ain't we all related some way?
- **Where do you live?**
- In a house in the USA.
- **What is the chat and follower/sub alert program you have that shows up on the stream.?**
- I programmed my own alert in Visual Studio. Connections to the Twitch API for followers and subs and Streamtip API for tips. I designed the graphics and animations in Fireworks and SwishMax
- The chat connects to Twitch's IRC server. I run a local web server to display all the information, including parsing out all the info, downloading your avatar and displaying in on the on-screen chat. Pretty neat stuff.
- **When do you stream?**
- Whenever I feel the urge to stream; no set schedule but you'll usually see me on in the morning 9ishAM to 4ishPM EST and some evenings EST.
- **What do you use to stream?**
- Open Broadcaster Software (OBS)
- **How do you normally play your games?**
- I usually use an emulator for most retro consoles until I can get and everdrive for NES, SNES, and others.
- **How do you get that thing that shows your inputs?**
- I wrote a little app in Visual Studio that reads the joystick inputs from the computer
- **What time split program do you use?**
- Check out Livesplit (http://www.livesplit.org) with nearly endless customization
