  3. I'd like to tell you about my experiences with hostus.us. Last christmas I found a deal for an OpenVZ VPS for 3GB Ram for only $7. I have never tried a VPS using OpenVZ and normally seeing something under $15 for 1GB Ram usually means it's a crap service or at least what I've found. So I say to myself well it's only $7 so it's not a big lost if I don't like it.

  5. As you can imagine I bought it, and I started to install stuff to my VPS and noticed how fast it was downloading things. Hell a few times I looked away and turned back and it was done and thought to myself that it must have failed installing a package but nope it was just that quick. I've used many VPSs and I've found it's too slow or the customer service is crap.

  7. I'd like to tell you the first encounter with the Technical support. Alexander McNeil was this persons name and come to think of it I've never dealt with anyone else. I don't think this person sleeps because I've sent in tickets in different times of the day and he is always on top in responding to me within the hour usually within minutes.

  9. So back to my story, I was having issues with my connection to my VPS and I sent in a ticket asking if my bandwidth is being shared over many VPS? I ask this because I've ran into many cheap VPSs that people just use them for torrents and suck up the bandwidth. Alexander started checking all the switches and nodes and whatever equipment term I can throw in and got back to me saying he didn't find any issues. I normally just say OK and I move on.

  11. Now this is the part that really caught my attention. Alexander gave me regular reports for the next 48 hrs on the status of my VPS. I've never had that type of customer service out of any VPS I've owned. Normally they get back to my ticket after 24 hrs saying they didn't find anything and if it happens again to open another ticket. I just thought that was the norm but Alexander truly monitored my VPS for two days to make sure it wasn't having an issues. I think in the end it was my side that was having issues and not the VPS but the customer service dedication blew me away.

  13. Ok if you read all that and it makes any sense then great otherwise i'm sorry. I currently own two VPSs with hostus and I plan on keeping them for a along time at this rate.

  17. They are a small hosting company out of Atlanta. They have top notch customer service and the VPSs are quick and fast. It only takes like 2 seconds to restart.

  21. Alexander truly get come sleep because how fast you respond to my ticket is scary sometimes.
