  6. james allen __ No one is suggesting that giant pandas don't naturally climb trees like dogs naturally fetch sticks. *You are missing the point about captive giant pandas climbing _to the ends of the thin branches for no apparent purpose._* (I.e., is that "natural behaviour" for food, to avoid/escape predators, to conserve energy, to mate, for shelter, for play, or to help create viral footage that draws in paying customers?)
  7.
  8. I think you'll find that giant pandas in the wild don't climb trees without an attributable purpose (food, avoiding/escaping predators, conserving energy, mating, shelter, etc.) *and not to the extent where they go to the ends of thin and weakened branches which then collapse.*
  9.
  10. Dogs _naturally_ fetch sticks for the attributable purpose of *"play"* (they *don't* engage in the _natural_ activity of "fetch" for food, shelter, to conserve energy, mating, to avoid/escape predators, or to draw in crowds of humans who pay to watch).
  11.
  12. Are you suggesting that giant pandas climb to the ends of thin branches which ultimately results in them falling to the ground for the purpose of "play"? _Good grief, perhaps you are!_
  13.
  14. Perhaps you want to argue that wild giant pandas "play" like that since you seem to know all about them while implying I know even less - even though I suspect you have not spent _any_ time looking into this issue.
  15.
  16. I shall await with bated breath for your footage of natural giant pandas climbing trees *for no apparent purpose* other than to "playfully" clamber to the ends of thin and weakened branches which inevitably break causing them to fall (as can be seen in _countless_ captive giant panda videos).
  17.
  18. I'll make it easy: show me just *one* clip of a giant panda _in the wild_ falling out of a tree for *any* reason - _play or otherwise._
  19.
  20. What's that? You can't find any footage of wild giant pandas falling out of trees in nature? What's that? The only footage of falling giant pandas you can find are of captive giant pandas? But you talk to me as though you _know_ it's _natural_ wild panda behaviour and that it can't possibly be happening for the reason I'm suggesting (i.e., to draw in paying customers)!
  21.
  22. Until you can provide *any* counter footage, and without *anything* to actually _substantiate_ your disagreement with what I'm pointing out, let it be observed that the oppositional defiance disorder in you is strong; since you seem unwilling to consider the _more likely_ explanation: which is that giant pandas are trained to perform various behaviours that lead them to climb thin branches, which they fall out of, which happens to help draw in crowds of paying panda tourists.
  23.
  24. But, according to you it's just giant pandas being giant pandas - even though it only seems to happen with the _captive_ giant pandas - which happen to attract millions of tourists each year thanks to these kinds of antics (who cares about those boring gorilla exhibits)!
  25.
  26. If you _genuinely_ aren't able to connect the dots (despite my help), then nothing can be done for you and I wish you all the best.
