Dear Prof. Berndt,

I am very sorry for not contacting you for a long time. Aparently the preparation for the exhibition for the graduation works quite consume my time.

I am very sorry for suddenly sending you e-mail, but I want to ask few things about the Research Students program. Currently I haven't submitted the application due to personal matters, but planning to submit it before the deadline next week.


About the research theme, at first I told you I want to research about historical manga. But after finishing my graduation works, I am interested to know and research more about 'slice of life' manga. Currently I still don't have a clear plan on mind about how to do the research (I am hoping to learn about it while being a Research Student), but I am interested on researching about cultural studies using 'slice of life' manga [Otoyomegatari] and [Emma] by Mori Kaoru. Is that possible?

And one more question, Prof. Berndt. For the Research Student application, we were supposed to add the Supervisor name and include the sign as well. I was thinking is it possible to ask you as my supervisor? I hope to learn how to do research from you.
