- Delay Misty (required because of rules)
- Get Pecha Berry, Elixer and TM43 (fight extra trainer as Wartortle)
- Vermilion Mart: Buy Poke Balls if low, 7 Super Potions, status healing items if low, and 3 Repels
- Catch L15 or L17 Spearow

- Trade for Ch'ding
