  1. [19:14] <~BigTentacruel> Previously on Strange Days in Kolisa, the party had seemingly solved the problems within town via scarecrows and a show of power at the horde of Whimsicott. With the heavy clouds hovering just above the roofs in Furrowvale, the group set off for the mines north of Grainger Harcroft's ranch. In the mines, they had to deal with increased water levels, though where those started is anyone's guess. Finally, they descended some stairs, thinking they had uncovered the answer... Had they or hadn't they? We'll find out today.
  2. [19:15] <~BigTentacruel> Before Lianhua, Harcroft, Victor, and Ein stands a massive stone frog, easily large enough to support the somewhat ruined castle above it. It is as still as any other statue you've seen thusfar, but it is covered in innumerable runes which bear no resemblance to any script you've seen previous.
  3. [19:16] <~BigTentacruel> Notably, you're on the side with the frog's back left leg. The front of the frog and the front of the castle are on the far side of the room.
  4. [19:18] <~BigTentacruel> The wind whistles softly around the cavern, and all around you, mossy vegetation grows. It's a very different place from what you have trekked through previously.
  5. [19:20] * Ein looks around, "well, that's a big frog... wonder if it's alive..."
  6. [19:20] <Victor> "I... hope not..." Victor said, breathing a little heavy.
  7. [19:21] <~BigTentacruel> With a croak from your pack, Louise informs Ein via Nina that this isn't Bigrock.
  8. [19:22] <Ein> "umm... so is bigrock bigger or smaller?"
  9. [19:23] <~BigTentacruel> Louise stares over your shoulder for a minute, expressionless as always. Eventually, Nina informs you that she thinks Bigrock is smaller.
  10. [19:24] * Lianhua fortunately has enough sense to keep her hands to herself in this rare circumstance.
  11. [19:24] <Ein> "well that's a relief... thanks Louise..."
  12. [19:25] * Ein starts to move around the statue
  13. [19:26] <~BigTentacruel> (In what direction? Towards the front or back?)
  14. [19:26] * DiceMaid-9001 (DiceMaid-9@sux-EADD5C74) has joined #kolisa
  15. [19:27] <Victor> Victor stiffens up, limbing in the direction of the statue towards the grunt, trying to stay on his guard
  16. [19:28] <Ein> (front)
  17. [19:28] * Lianhua circles around the back, then!
  18. [19:30] <~BigTentacruel> As you traverse the moss towards the frog's front via its left side, you can see a staircase on the farside. It's decorated with more enormous frog statues, but those are only about as tall as Victor. After a minute or so of walking, Lianhua, who has taken the alternate path, disappears from view.
  19. [19:33] <~BigTentacruel> Lianhua, meanwhile, can see that the backside of the frog is starting to grow over with moss, which is creeping up its right legs steadily. It's relatively similar to the left side, but the runes seem to be of a different sort.
  20. [19:34] <Victor> "can anyone read those runes? Ancient linguistics escapes me somewhat."
  21. [19:34] <Ein> "well, i found some steps, and more statues..." Ein calls out.
  22. [19:34] <Lianhua> "It doesn't look like anything from home, I don't think."
  23. [19:34] <Lianhua> "It does look different back here, though."
  24. [19:34] <Amphitrite> 1d20
  25. [19:34] <DiceMaid-9001> Amphitrite, 1d20: 16 [1d20=16]
  26. [19:35] <~BigTentacruel> You all feel as if you are being watched here.
  27. [19:37] * Ein looks around cautiously
  28. [19:37] <Ein> 1d20-2 Sense predator
  29. [19:37] <DiceMaid-9001> Ein, Sense predator: 9 [1d20=11]
  30. [19:38] <Victor> 1d20 sight beyond sight
  31. [19:38] <DiceMaid-9001> Victor, sight beyond sight: 13 [1d20=13]
  32. [19:39] <Ein> (you said I could have nina percieve too, right?)
  33. [19:40] <~BigTentacruel> (In special cases, yes.)
  34. [19:41] <Ein> (is this one of those cases?)
  35. [19:41] <Lianhua> 1d20 I'm perceptive!
  36. [19:41] <DiceMaid-9001> Lianhua, I'm perceptive!: 15 [1d20=15]
  37. [19:43] <~BigTentacruel> Harcroft is also on the lookout, but no matter where you look, you can't shake the feeling that you're looking the wrong way.
  38. [19:44] * Ein moves to the base of the stairs, his friends all moving in step with him.
  39. [19:44] <Lianhua> "Well."
  40. [19:44] <~BigTentacruel> "I don't get it... This isn't the source of the-"
  41. [19:45] <Lianhua> Lianhua glances around again, then gives into temptation and starts tracing one of the runes with a fingertip, trying to figure out if it's anything she's seen before.
  42. [19:45] <~BigTentacruel> From far above you, you hear an echoing "You shouldn't be tricking people!"
  43. [19:45] <~BigTentacruel> It's a female voice.
  44. [19:45] <Lianhua> "Wh-"
  45. [19:45] <~BigTentacruel> And it sounds as if it's coming from within the castle.
  46. [19:45] * Lianhua yanks her hand away and tries to look innocent.
  47. [19:46] * Ein starts moving towards the inside of the castle, trying to hear more of what's going on.
  48. [19:47] * Victor limps after Ein, keeping his guard up, at the very least to cover for the little kid. He had thrown out a pokeball, Tango now following behind him.
  49. [19:47] <~BigTentacruel> You'll have to climb the stairs on the front side to do that, Ein. It's a good treck up.
  50. [19:47] <~BigTentacruel> *trek.
  51. [19:48] <Lianhua> "Wh-who are you?"
  52. [19:48] <~BigTentacruel> The yelling continues "Maybe you should tell them it's a statue! I am someone who doesn't like trickery!"
  53. [19:48] <Lianhua> "Of course it's a statue?" It comes out more like a question than anything else.
  54. [19:48] * Ein is trekking up.
  55. [19:51] <~BigTentacruel> The stairs are rather aged, and if you run full tilt, you might slip. There are walls along either side of the stairs, though, where the frog statues are.
  56. [19:51] * Lianhua scurries to catch up with everyone else.
  57. [19:53] <~BigTentacruel> Harcroft runs behind the lot of you, but he's slower than Lianhua and when you three reach the stairs, a stone slab slams down from above your heads, locking you inside the room you have found yourself in.
  58. [19:54] <Lianhua> "aaaaaaaaaaaaa-"
  59. [19:55] * Lianhua stares mournfully at the stone slab. "Poor Mr. Harcroft. He lived his life healthy and rich, and now he's the one who ended up squished."
  60. [19:55] <Lianhua> "...Hey, that's actually pretty good."
  61. [19:55] <~BigTentacruel> The room is a much smaller circular thing, covered in the same weird runes along the walls. Along the far wall are carvings of various pokemon, all with their eyes disproportionately large.
  62. [19:55] <Ein> (HAHA)
  63. [19:56] <~BigTentacruel> "Heh... Didn't expect you to get here so soon," a raspy voice calls.
  64. [19:57] * Ein looks around, taking a more hostile stance.
  65. [19:57] <Victor> "Well F*#k me..." Victor groaned. "This kind of speech is never good."
  66. [19:59] <~BigTentacruel> "Don't worry, Victor," the voice says. It seems to be coming from the far side of the room, across from a large stone table in the middle where more runes line the edges. "CURSE wanted us to come and give you the lowdown here. You chumps took your sweet time finding us though."
  67. [20:00] * Victor approaches the table.
  68. [20:00] <Victor> Trying to see who's speaking.
  69. [20:00] * Ein and Nina both growl.
  70. [20:00] <Victor> ((hit enter early))
  71. [20:01] <~BigTentacruel> (Are you looking directly across the table or searching around the room?)
  72. [20:02] <Victor> ((directly across atleast in motion, though victor is trying to be aware of his surroundings as best he can.))
  73. [20:02] <Lianhua> "Victor, what's a chump?"
  74. [20:03] <~BigTentacruel> Victor doesn't seem to see anything, even when he reaches the end of the table. "Settle down, Ein. Go bark at some of those Whimsicott you all let loose. You don't even know why CURSE called you up, so don't act all high and mighty."
  75. [20:04] <Victor> "Its a palooka. A dimestore push-around. He's underestimating us Lianhua." Victor leaned onto the table a bit more. "though those are big words from a guy who hides from retribution from such words. The shadows are a pretty safe place huh?"
  76. [20:05] <Lianhua> Lianhua looks both very confused and not particularly underestimated. "I-in any case, it's nice to meet you, Mr. Chump, but we've really got a town to save, so if you don't mind..."
  77. [20:06] <~BigTentacruel> "Oh, I'm not hiding. I'm right in front of you mooks," the voice says, and suddenly you feel like you can almost make out a shape in front of you, a thin, hook-nosed man with greasy, dark hair. It's gone as soon as you think you get a good look, though. "Name's Lafayette."
  78. [20:06] <~BigTentacruel> "And I ain't the chump. You are, girl."
  79. [20:07] <Lianhua> "I'm pretty sure I'm not a chump. D:"
  80. [20:08] * Ein stays in his hostile stance "Get to the point..."
  81. [20:08] <Victor> "Ok Laffy... you obviously have a reason for expecting us." Victor said, ignoring the comment Lianhua made. "way I see it, we're wasting time beating around the bush. our time is precious, so's yours... I'd assume... so why don't you cut to the chase."
  82. [20:09] <~BigTentacruel> "Lafayette, ya punk. I'll knock you down if you get it wrong," he says angrily. "And time IS your problem, yeah."
  83. [20:09] <Victor> "interesting wording there..."
  84. [20:12] <~BigTentacruel> "See..." Lafayette starts, but he pauses as a loud thunk sounds from above you. "Ah, guess he's started to get rough. Well, no matter..."
  85. [20:13] <~BigTentacruel> "Tell me, little mooks, what was weird about that prediction CURSE was so worried about?"
  86. [20:14] <Victor> "where to begin..." victor says, ticking a few things off silently on his fingers.
  87. [20:14] <Ein> "the fact that you sent me a letter about it"
  88. [20:14] <Lianhua> "That's a good one!"
  89. [20:15] <Lianhua> "Hmm, are we on a fault line?"
  90. [20:15] <Lianhua> "Then again, there are other things that could cause the earth to shake. Lots of Snorlaxes."
  91. [20:16] <~BigTentacruel> "I didn't send nothin', chumps. CURSE did that. They want you chumps to do their dirty work, but you're not even smart enough to remember what they told you outright."
  92. [20:17] <~BigTentacruel> "The prediction was made in 511. It's 440 now. The prediction hasn't happened yet."
  93. [20:17] <Victor> "I remember we'd be meeting contact in furrovale. I thought that might be you."
  94. [20:17] <Lianhua> "Of course I do. It was a lot of stuff about a lot of people dying and it was written about sixty years from now."
  95. [20:17] <Lianhua> "That's what I was saying!"
  96. [20:18] <Victor> "I thought that was a typo, though now the plot thickens." Victor hunkered down. He gave a subtle motion under the table to Tango to start quietly circling around the table, slowly. "You're saying you know why it was written 60 years in the future?"
  97. [20:18] * Ein looks at Lafayette. "they specifically mentioned that in the letter, so how is that odd?"
  98. [20:18] <Lianhua> "Well, because it's a prediction. You can't have something fortelling the future being written in the past."
  99. [20:19] <Victor> "Yes, Lianhua, but its ususally dated at time of writing, not at time of fulfillment."
  100. [20:19] <~BigTentacruel> "Little girl's got a point, she does, though. You mooks just went along and assumed it was a mistake. CURSE don't make mistakes, they don't."
  101. [20:20] * Lianhua shrugs. "Maybe it's oracles all the way down."
  102. [20:20] <~BigTentacruel> "So the question goes, how did they know about something that ain't been written yet?"
  103. [20:20] <Lianhua> "Like I said, oracles all the way down."
  104. [20:20] <Lianhua> "Like turtles."
  105. [20:20] * Victor spread his hands. "Time travel?" he suggested, half serious, half joking.
  106. [20:21] <Ein> "Jiraichi"
  107. [20:23] <Lianhua> "But seriously, if one oracle can receive knowledge of the future, then why couldn't another oracle in the past know about that oracle?"
  108. [20:23] <Ein> "and i didn't assume it was a mistake"
  109. [20:23] <Lianhua> "...Oracle doesn't sound like a word any more."
  110. [20:24] <~BigTentacruel> "Well, so, the monks of Zhelat are apparently 'inspired' by their future members to 'remember' what hasn't happened yet."
  111. [20:24] <~BigTentacruel> "Memories bein' what they are, that sounds fuzzy to me, though."
  112. [20:24] <~BigTentacruel> "But I'm yammerin' on. CURSE says there's holes showin' up. Holes in time. Leadin' into the past. Leadin' into the future. Startin' to unravel."
  113. [20:25] <Victor> "Next you'll be telling me about flying police boxes and the last of the wailords..." victor made a pyramid out of his hands. "Excuse me if I take this all with a grain of salt, not having direct proof. nature of the job."
  114. [20:25] <Lianhua> "Well, if there are holes to the past and future, wouldn't that make it even easier for the message to get through?"
  115. [20:27] <Lianhua> "But that's not the point! The point is that something bad's going to happen and they think we can fix it."
  116. [20:29] <~BigTentacruel> "Pfft, maybe. I dunno why they chose you dopes for this, but I'm just a messenger."
  117. [20:29] <Victor> "why meet us here though. This is a rather elaborate set up for just a messenger."
  118. [20:30] <Lianhua> "For a messenger, you're sure interested in telling us we're doing something wrong."
  119. [20:30] <Amphitrite> 1d20 Scald
  120. [20:30] <DiceMaid-9001> Amphitrite, Scald: 3 [1d20=3]
  121. [20:30] * Ein looks around the room for other exits. "Messenger or not, you've told us pretty much nothing and We have more important things to handle at the moment"
  122. [20:30] <~BigTentacruel> A paper appears from the far end of the table as he flickers into your vision for a moment. It's a map of Kolisa! On the map are locations marked with large x's.
  123. [20:30] <~BigTentacruel> One of them is Furrowvale!
  124. [20:30] <Amphitrite> (ac 2 did I actually hit?)
  125. [20:32] <~BigTentacruel> "Well, you mooks are just gonna die doing this, so I'm trying to test you. See if you're ready for what's coming, you know?"
  126. [20:32] <Amphitrite> 3d10+12+8+2
  127. [20:32] <DiceMaid-9001> Amphitrite, 3d10+12+8+2: 33 [3d10=2,1,8]
  128. [20:32] <Victor> Tango is about halfway alongside the table right now, hidden in shadows completely and waiting for a signal to move.
  129. [20:33] <~BigTentacruel> Above you all, you can hear the sounds of combat as dust descends from the ceiling.
  130. [20:33] <~BigTentacruel> "Control your pet, Victor," Lafayette says. "You've got bigger fish... or frogs... to fry."
  131. [20:33] <~BigTentacruel> He laughs a cackling laugh and momentarily flickers into view again.
  132. [20:33] * Lianhua coughs.
  133. [20:34] <Victor> "I'm not good at tests, too much anxiety." Victor said. he tapped something out on the table. Tango freezes, though the Riolu doesn't retreat either. just stands there, apprehensive.
  134. [20:34] <Ein> (so are there any exits?)
  135. [20:36] <Lianhua> "So what sort of test is it?"
  136. [20:37] <~BigTentacruel> Obvious exits are a staircase behind him leading up and the slabbed over stairs behind you. A couple of windows line either wall, though. "Already gave it to you. You failed, chumps. Anyway, there's a path along the back wall in front of the castle that you can take to find the big frog what's been causing havoc around here. S'what CURSE said to do, but I don't see how that stops the hole."
  137. [20:39] * Ein starts walking towards the open exit. "I really couldn't care less what you think... just let us out already..."
  138. [20:39] <Victor> "Well then." victor said. He was with Ein, this was wasting time, though he couldn't ignore the weird nature of the situation. "How would you close the hole? you seem to have an idea."
  139. [20:40] <~BigTentacruel> "I don't know, chump, but you're not the right man for the job..." He glances upwards. "Did he take care of that one yet? I don't want to be disturbed here."
  140. [20:41] * Ein moves past Lafayette to the staircase.
  141. [20:42] <Amphitrite> 1d20
  142. [20:42] <DiceMaid-9001> Amphitrite, 1d20: 1 [1d20=1]
  143. [20:43] <~BigTentacruel> As you go to do so, you find Lafayette's flickering form in front of you. "Did I say you could go that way, chump? You know, you've got balls, but you're stupid."
  144. [20:43] <Victor> "I've been told that alot in my life. Still doesn't stop me from trying to do my job, even if know-it-alls who stand all aloof get in my way. I've been rather sucessful that way, so please, doubt me." Victor grinned through the darkness. "It just makes me better at what I do."
  145. [20:43] <~BigTentacruel> You hear another slam, this time one from behind you where the slab was.
  146. [20:44] <Lianhua> "Mr. Harcott!"
  147. [20:44] <Ein> "you've got some nerve yourself. Trapping us in here..."
  148. [20:44] * Ein is not backing down, and Nina is growling.
  149. [20:45] <~BigTentacruel> "Hey, Meek! You best deal with the girl quick. Gonna need you in a second!" he calls.
  150. [20:45] <Lianhua> "Xiao Piao-Ju! Xiao Yin-Hu! See what's going on!" Lianhua calls out two floons and points them at the slab. "Find out what's going on and come back safely!"
  151. [20:45] <Victor> "Ein... keep moving..." Victor said flatly, not taking his eyes off of Lafayett's image. he tapped something out on the table and Tango was at Ein's side, tense.
  152. [20:46] <~BigTentacruel> Lafayette's form disappears as soon as you look at him, Victor.
  153. [20:46] <~BigTentacruel> "Floon~" they both say as they try to phase through the rock, but they just both gently bump off its surface. Yin-Hu has an idea though and leads the other out the window to the right and around.
  154. [20:47] <Ein> Nina sniffs the air. Is there actually a scent of someone else around?
  155. [20:47] <~BigTentacruel> Nina does in fact smell several non-party scents! They all seem to be coming from the stairs and beyond.
  156. [20:48] <Ein> (what about lafeyette, is there actually a scent?
  157. [20:48] <Ein> )
  158. [20:48] <~BigTentacruel> "Sit down, chump," Lafayette says, as you feel a force strike your chest, Ein!
  159. [20:49] <~BigTentacruel> Nina can smell three scents of people excluding the party and Harcroft.
  160. [20:49] <Victor> "Ein! settle down and keep moving..." Victor's hands were white knuckled right now, he was trying his best to keep calm himself.
  161. [20:50] * Amphitrite is running down a hallway, not sure where she's going
  162. [20:50] * Ein skids back, but walks forward again, "knock me back again and I won't hold back." He would've aready attacked if victor hadn't kept talking. He was now trying to move to and up the stairs, not walking directly at Lafayette.
  163. [20:51] * Lianhua sticks her head out the window, waiting for her floons to come back.
  164. [20:52] <Ein> "I've taken 2 lives already today, don't make me take a third"
  165. [20:52] <~BigTentacruel> Ein takes 15 damage! However, Amphitrite runs down some stairs and runs smack into Lafayette, who goes sprawling on the floor.
  166. [20:52] <~BigTentacruel> "Damnit, Lafayette! She got past me!" You all hear.
  167. [20:53] <~BigTentacruel> The Floons return, gesturing and miming pushing against the walls of the castle with all their little Floon strength, but to no avail.
  168. [20:53] * Amphitrite skids a little bit and looks up as she tries to get up. "ouch!"
  169. [20:53] <Ein> 1d20 ember
  170. [20:53] <DiceMaid-9001> Ein, ember: 6 [1d20=6]
  171. [20:53] <~BigTentacruel> (Ah, ah, ah! Initiatives, kids!)
  172. [20:53] <Lianhua> "It's okay, don't worry. As long as there's no one being attacked on that side-"
  173. [20:53] * Victor wastes no time and is suddenly bounding across the top of the table, leaping off twoards Lafayett
  174. [20:54] <Ein> (readied actions don't go off?)
  175. [20:54] <Amphitrite> (M-ME too)
  176. [20:54] <Amphitrite> (?)
  177. [20:54] <~BigTentacruel> (Oh, was that readied? I missed that.)
  178. [20:54] <Ein> (i forgot to state it)
  179. [20:54] <Lianhua> (you never actually readied anything by my reading of it)
  180. [20:54] <Lianhua> (then it's not readied)
  181. [20:54] <~BigTentacruel> (Then it's not readied.)
  182. [20:54] <Ein> (oops)
  183. [20:54] <Ein> (oh well, next time)
  184. [20:54] <~BigTentacruel> Nope! Everyone give me dexes and speeds, please!
  185. [20:55] <Lianhua> Dex 17, 11 speed Piao-Ju 1, 10 speed Piao-Ju 2
  186. [20:55] <Amphitrite> (10 Dex, Orpheus has 4 speed :3)
  187. [20:55] <Lianhua> now's the time I make you regret giving me a pokemon with illusion
  188. [20:55] <Victor> ((Victor 19 dex, Tango 10 Speed)
  189. [20:56] <Amphitrite> (is this an all dex party geezus)
  190. [20:56] <Lianhua> (looks it)
  191. [20:56] <Ein> (11 dex, Nina speed 11 (only 1st round), Anthony speed 1 (rest of the rounds)
  192. [20:58] * BigTentacruel changes topic to 'Lafayette > Victor > Lianhua > Ein > Amphitrite || Jacobin > Nina = Piao-Ju 1 > Tango = Piao-Ju 2 > Orpheus'
  193. [20:59] <~BigTentacruel> Alright, in order of descending Dexes! Lafayette takes his turn getting to his feet! He brushes himself off and says, "I'll do you all in for that! I will! Just keep your eyes on me!" When you look at him, he vanishes!
  194. [20:59] <~BigTentacruel> (In order to land an attack on Lafayette or any of his mons, you must first succeed at rolling above 10 on a d20!)
  195. [20:59] <Victor> ((in the place we saw him last?))

  525. [22:32] <Victor> "Harcroft! What took so long?!" Victor yelled, though very elated and glad to see the gym leader. Finding second wind, he launches another kick at Jacobin.

  561. [22:38] <~BigTentacruel> Lafayette is at 68%, though!
  562. [22:39] <~BigTentacruel> And it is now Jacobin's turn! He looses a vicious counter at Amphitrite! She takes 30 damage!

  569. [22:41] <~BigTentacruel> (Alrighty, then.)
  570. [22:42] <Lianhua> Piao and Piao start whirling around, faster and faster! Eventually the currents of air start picking up the gathered dust of the ages and the powdered bits of stone from Harcroft's entrance, then send the dust devil at Jacobin and Lafayette, hopefully coating them in dust and etc!
  571. [22:42] <Lianhua> (since it's not actually an attack do I have to roll phasing?)
  572. [22:42] <~BigTentacruel> (No, since it's just coating them.)
  573. [22:43] <Lianhua> (lovely~ The glitterdust approach strikes again!)
  574. [22:43] <Lianhua> "Your illusions can't hide everything!"
  575. [22:43] <~BigTentacruel> The dust whirls around the room, covering everyone inside! It settles onto Jacobin and Lafayette, and suddenly, they are completely visible. It's not just telling you where they are, but you can see them plain as day!
  576. [22:44] <~BigTentacruel> Lafayette laughs. "Hahaha. Clever little mook, ain't you? Better than these other chumps! I'll have to take you and gym guy out first, now."
  577. [22:44] <Lianhua> Piao-Ju 1 coughs. Piao-ju 2 doesn't seem too bothered.

  585. [22:46] <~BigTentacruel> Jacobin takes another hit, a strong one, even though he's resistant as hell to normal moves!
  586. [22:46] <~BigTentacruel> 30% left on Jacobin!
  587. [22:47] <~BigTentacruel> Around you all, the castle starts to shake! It's another earthquake from whatever is causing them nearby!
  588. [22:47] <Lianhua> "...Mr. Harcroft, you sure you can hold them off?"
  589. [22:48] <~BigTentacruel> "And you wanted to fight me? YOU'VE GOT OTHER PROBLEMS!" Lafayette shouts, the trap wearing off of him now.
  590. [22:48] <~BigTentacruel> Orpheus?
  591. [22:49] * Amphitrite looks around confused. "Ummm... Orpheus uh.... How about you Use water gun on the jackal!
  592. [22:49] <Amphitrite> 1d20 Water gun
  593. [22:49] <DiceMaid-9001> Amphitrite, Water gun: 9 [1d20=9]
  594. [22:49] <~BigTentacruel> Hit! Damage!
  595. [22:49] <Amphitrite> 1d12+6+7+2
  596. [22:49] <DiceMaid-9001> Amphitrite, 1d12+6+7+2: 16 [1d12=1]
  597. [22:49] <Ein> (I may have to leave soon)
  598. [22:50] <~BigTentacruel> OH! SO CLOSE! 5%!
  599. [22:50] <~BigTentacruel> Harcroft stands before you. "That Lucario is barely standing. Go!" he orders. "I'll be behind you."
  600. [22:51] * Amphitrite picks up orpheus and quickly nods. "W-where?"
  601. [22:51] <~BigTentacruel> "That's right!" Lafayette says. "Go! Do your little doggie duties for CURSE. Fuckin' slaves to those chumps. That's what you are."
  602. [22:52] <Lianhua> "I think he's mad," Lianhua announces to the Piaos.
  603. [22:53] <Lianhua> And with that, she grabs their little floony hands and takes off towards the stairs.
  604. [22:53] <Ein> "this way."
  605. [22:53] * Amphitrite follows Ein
  606. [22:53] <~BigTentacruel> Lafayette tries to go after you all, but Harcroft blocks his path! "Fine! I'll fight you then!" he says. He readies an attack and strikes Harcroft heavily in the chest!
  607. [22:54] <~BigTentacruel> (Are you guys heading back out of the mines or just back into them?)
  608. [22:54] <Lianhua> (towards the sound of the thing causing the earthquakes, if we can)
  609. [22:54] <Lianhua> (or if I can, don't wanna speak for everyone else)
  610. [22:54] <Ein> (I'm the main one in bad shape)
  611. [22:55] <Victor> ((I'm the second most in bad shape. Victor probably woulnd't retreat that quickly though, but I know this is pushing it from a player standpoint)
  612. [22:55] <Lianhua> (Lianhua generally wouldn't either, but saving the town from the earthquakemon takes priority over whipping this guy's ass)
  613. [22:56] <Lianhua> (one's personal satisfaction, the other's actually doing something to help people)
  614. [22:56] <Amphitrite> (I'll head to the earthquakes :D)
  615. [22:56] <~BigTentacruel> There IS a tunnel on the side of the cavern where the castle stairs are. There are quakes coming from there, it seems.
  616. [22:56] <~BigTentacruel> They are strongest from that direction.
  617. [22:56] <Lianhua> Then onwards!
  618. [22:57] <Victor> Victor runs out into the minds, trying to head towards the source of the quakes, yelling at the others to get back up to the surface if they know whats good for them. Albeit, he looks pretty worse for wear at the moment.
  619. [22:57] * Victor pulls the injured tango back into his pokeball.
  620. [22:57] * Amphitrite has no idea who Victor is talking to, so she just keeps running because it's obviously not her!
  621. [22:58] <~BigTentacruel> (Well, then...)
  622. [22:58] <~BigTentacruel> And so, our party heads deeper into the mines, having had an encounter with two of CURSE's messengers! They weren't happy working for CURSE though. What was up with that? Will our party find the source of the quakes? What about after they save this town? Find out next time on Strange Days in Kolisa!
  623. [22:58] <~BigTentacruel> </session>
  624. [22:58] <~BigTentacruel> Everyone gains 1450 EXP from the fight. Amphitrite gains another 500.
