Israel's latest and already devastating military assault on one of the most densely populated areas in the world, occupied Gaza, is having a devastating impact on the civilian population. Almost 300 people have now died and over 1100 injured. According to the UN, 75 - 80 percent are civilians. Israel's airstrikes and now, the beginning of their ground invasion are only adding to the already existing humanitarian crisis in Gaza caused by Israel's illegal siege on the territory. As recognized by the United Nations and the UK itself. It was Prime Minister David Cameron who in 2010, described Gaza as the worlds "largest open air prison."

By selling arms to Israel, the British government is giving direct material support for Israel's aggression and sending a clear message of approval for its actions.
