  1. [14:39:08] Savant Malpercius: <floats up to the female> Greetings.. You are Madeleine correct?
  2. [14:39:08] Madeleine Sakete: <*She looks upon the Malpercius with, at first a curious look... But then it defaults to a small smile.*> Yes.
  3. [14:39:08] Madeleine Sakete: You are the Competitor.
  4. [14:39:08] Madeleine Sakete: This one remembers you, from the tournament.
  5. [14:40:00] Savant Malpercius: Indeed. I'm Savant. And heard you got vindicatorship. <lets his occultism helmet vanish> good job! And I remember you as well.
  6. [14:40:51] Madeleine Sakete: This one has always wondered...
  7. [14:40:51] Madeleine Sakete: You were most likely to win. To become an Oscuri.
  8. [14:40:51] Madeleine Sakete: -- And thank you. --
  9. [14:40:51] Madeleine Sakete: Would you have accepted the chance to become an Oscuri, this one wonders?
  10. [14:41:42] Savant Malpercius: <he shrugs> Maybe. Maybe not. I think you might have won anyways. And its no problem. As for the chance to become Oscuri?.. <he seems to ponder>
  11. [14:42:33] Madeleine Sakete: It is not necessary, of course.
  12. [14:42:33] Madeleine Sakete: This one does not even know how they did it...
  13. [14:43:24] Savant Malpercius: <nods> Aw.. Thats.. perhaps we can find the knowlege then of how perhaps.
  14. [14:44:16] Madeleine Sakete: The Champion might know. But, it is up to his decision, in the end. It would be an interesting thing to witness.
  15. [14:44:16] Madeleine Sakete: Might earn the right to become a Vindicator.
  16. [14:45:07] Savant Malpercius: <blinks> The champion might become vindicator?
  17. [14:45:58] Madeleine Sakete: No, you would.
  18. [14:45:58] Madeleine Sakete: If you were an Oscuri.
  19. [14:46:49] Savant Malpercius: .. <he appears to be thinking> That is interesting to think about.. Though I don't think I should become one just yet. I believe.. You know Azreal's vision of a world of immortality through necromancy?
  20. [14:47:40] Robotron: well to be honest i just don't know where to get a quest
  21. [14:49:23] Madeleine Sakete: No, it doesn't ring a bell. <*Flat tone.*>
  22. [14:49:23] Madeleine Sakete: <*She smirks, though.*> Yes, I do.
  23.
  24. [14:51:05] Savant Malpercius: <blinks> oh- <completely fell for it and chuckles> Well.. I believe something similar might be ale to be obtained through Malpercian expiriments.. I would want to come close to a breakthrough with that before I became an oscuri.
  25.
  26. [14:54:30] Lodyn Sakete: <*Exists*>
  27.
  28. [15:03:53] Madeleine Sakete: That sounds... Fair.
  29. [15:04:44] Madeleine Sakete: Well, your continued support of Alteros is appreciated, Researcher.
  30. [15:04:44] Madeleine Sakete: Thank you.
  31. [15:04:44] Savant Malpercius: <nods> It is no problem vindicator. <he grins> I just like helping out.
  32. [15:05:36] Madeleine Sakete: Collaborate with the Doctor, if it pleases you, Researcher.
  33. [15:05:36] Madeleine Sakete: He is an inventor and medical expert.
  34. [15:05:36] Lodyn Sakete: <*Nonchalant wave*>
  35. [15:06:27] Savant Malpercius: <waves back> Cool. Will do.. Oh! I remembered something that might be of interest to you.
  36. [15:06:27] Madeleine Sakete: Oh?
  37. [15:06:27] Madeleine Sakete: What is it?
  38. [15:06:27] Savant Malpercius: Have you two heard of the Azreal coffers?
  39. [15:07:18] Madeleine Sakete: Yes, and all the misfortune it tends to befall those who take its quest.
  40. [15:07:18] Savant Malpercius: <he blinks> misfortunes?
  41. [15:08:09] Madeleine Sakete: Yes. It does not prune the bush as effectively as one would hope. <*A rather dour look befalls the swordswoman.*> Err.
  42. [15:08:09] Madeleine Sakete: Anyway.
  43. [15:08:09] Madeleine Sakete: What of them?
  44. [15:09:00] Savant Malpercius: .. I'm slightly confused as to misfortune as I was once allowed to go through a quest, through a portal created through the coffers.. came out somewhat fine.. anyways, wanted to ask if it might be possible to use them again.
  45. [15:09:52] Madeleine Sakete: Most of the relics of Azrael were under supervision of Sareen.
  46. [15:09:52] Madeleine Sakete: She was the city, after all.
  47. [15:09:52] Madeleine Sakete: This one will speak with the Champion, as bearer of Her Will.
  48. [15:09:52] Madeleine Sakete: Or the Doctor will.
  49. [15:09:52] Lodyn Sakete: <*He shrugs.*>
  50. [15:09:52] Savant Malpercius: <he nods and smiles> Thank you.
  51.
  52. [15:09:52] Madeleine Sakete: Any time.
  53. [15:10:43] Savant Malpercius: Oh. Final thing pretty much. Would you like to spar?
  54. [15:11:34] Madeleine Sakete: Oh, goodness. Hmm...
  55. [15:11:34] Madeleine Sakete: Well, this one supposes so.
  56. [15:11:34] Savant Malpercius: Its fine if you don't want to. But got to admit, got really curious about your power at that Tourament. <he smiles>
  57. [15:12:25] Madeleine Sakete: Different times, unfortunately.
  58. [15:12:25] Madeleine Sakete: <*She sheds her cloak, revealing the entirely missing arm.*>
  59. [15:12:25] Savant Malpercius: <he blinks> oh..
  60. [15:12:25] Madeleine Sakete: But. If the Researcher would like a spar all the same? That is alright with this one.
  61. [15:13:16] Savant Malpercius: <he nods> If you're still up for it.
  62. [15:13:16] Madeleine Sakete: Naturally.
  63.
  64. [15:19:15] Wonderful curiousity. A grin filled the pale man's face, Savant walking away from the statues and more towards the center of the pit. This was sure to be a fun spar but.. The fact that his sparring partner was missing her limb was a bit sad honestly. No pity but.. Certainly it was food for his thoughts.
  65.
  66. Depravity and occultism surrounded the researcher as he would point to his undead, who were shamingling around the trees, and ordering them not to intervene with the spar. There was no need to call them into such a thing and Savant figured that one on one would be much more fun then eleven on one anyways. His gaze would then turn to Madeleine, grinning with a slightly corrupt smile.
  67.
  68. "This'll be fun."
  69.
  70. Occultism would shoot up and around the man's body, lacing it with occutltic armor. A helmet would be donned on his ear as well as a shield, and the cloak that was white for seconds before turned black. A depraved scythe that lay upon Savant's back would be gripped, the man now fully prepared to spar.
  71.
  72. "Come at me with what you have."
  73. (Savant Malpercius)
  74.
  75. [15:26:56] One arm to fight with and Madeleine had long since felt the pain that came with missing a limb. But, a sellsword's honor was her word, and her word had to be honored... Sometimes, you had to lop off an arm if you bet on it. That's just how it went.
  76.
  77. "This one has been practicing to adjust, so do not go gentle, Researcher." She would say, her sword drawn and hefted upon her shoulder. "This one fights far too much to ever consider a loss anything but a learning experience... It is only through losing that one can truly become stronger."
  78.
  79. Was she saying that she had no faith in her own ability? Hopefully not. She pointed her blade forward, Rieka surging across her body. "Prepare yourself."
  80. (Madeleine Sakete)
  81.
  82. [15:32:54] {combat} Madeleine Sakete has been defeated! They're unable to continue fighting.
  83.
  84.
  85. [15:37:10] Whoo. The fight was pretty fun admittedly, with Savant grinning from ear to ear. The lavender haired man felt his body slow, as typical with these sorts of battles. He hated it but as ussual, his perseverance had him coming out ahead. The lavender haired man would catch a breather, in and out as he backed up, coming to Madeleine's starting position.
  86.
  87. "Doing pretty well honestly. You're strong."
  88.
  89. A words to the opponet as Savant's power seemed to breathe and grow strangely stronger. Occultism flowed thorugh his veins, seemingly waking him up the more he sparred, though at one point Savan seemingly stopped it. Hands would tighten on his blade, acting as a funnel to have more power exit from around him.
  90.
  91. "Ready for round two?"
  92. (Savant Malpercius)
  93. [15:41:26] Naturally, Madeleine was going into this expecting a very handy defeat, which was delivered soundly under duress of flame and darkness. Not so much a talented occultist as the man before her, she all the same kept herself flying across the battlefield with as much speed as she could... But unfortunately, the Malpercian had the upper hand in... Ahem.
  94.
  95. Fire power.
  96.
  97. A little bit covered in fire, a little bit smoking as she pats down the flames, Madeleine returns to one of the starting positions, her hand on her katana steadying itself as she closed an eye and stared down Savant. And... A smile.
  98.
  99. "This one is always ready, Researcher."
  100. (Madeleine Sakete)
  101. [15:41:26] Madeleine Sakete's speed increases!
  102. [15:42:17] {combat} Madeleine Sakete has been defeated! They're unable to continue fighting.
  103. [15:42:17] Madeleine Sakete's speed returns to normal.
  104.
  105. [15:46:33] Savant was very clearly not one for percision. Whenever the Malpercian launched a strike or attack, an entire column or row of flame would hit the surrounding area. The things would create for a rather fun battle, Savant and Madeleine dancing along the flames he created.
  106.
  107. The girl was really, really good with a sword. It would frequently hit against his armor or helmet, doing quite a bit of damage, but he didn't seem to react. Every now or then, a smile could be seen, flashing off thorugh his helmet as he enjoyed the sparring match, and eventually a dark fireball would knock the vindicator to her knees.
  108.
  109. Game, set, match.
  110.
  111. After this, Savant would walk over, extending his right hand to Madeleine to help her up.. It wa odd, for the limb lacked anything that pointed him out as a Malpercian.. Was he just a human magi then?
  112.
  113. "Good spar."
  114. (Savant Malpercius)
  115.
  116. [15:50:49] The battle was arduous and long, but Madeleine took defeat with the dignity that came with it. Defeat, after all, was natural. A part of growing up. While the miasmic winds would die down about her after the strike of flame and darkness bringing her low, she'd lay against the dirt with a small, tired smile. Savant's hand extends, the spar is over, and...
  117.
  118. Oh, wow, it's the right hand, he's offering the right hand!
  119.
  120. "Thanks." She would reply, happily grabbing onto it and allowing herself helped up. "This one was right in thinking what the Researcher was capable of." She'd say, dusting herself off. Wisps of flame would disappear off her body as they were soldered out... Nodding her head all the while. "It would have been an easy victory, oscuriship, and vindicatorship for you, Researcher."
  121.
  122. She'd bow, then. As it was her custom, before picking up her blade and sheathing it. "Once more, thank you." And she'd return to where she once stood. OR at least where her brother once stood.
  123. (Madeleine Sakete)
  124.
  125. [15:53:23] Savant Malpercius: <lets occultism armor fade>
  126.
  127. [15:55:56] Savant Malpercius: <suddenly notices Ionna> Hey Lady Ashting, may I spar you as well?
  128. [15:55:56] Ionna Ashting: <*holds up arms*> I'm old bones, surely you jest?
  129. [15:56:48] Savant Malpercius: <he blinks> Oh.. Thought you were still amazingly strong..
  130. [15:56:48] Ionna Ashting: <*cranes neck*> I suppose I could, haven't fought since the tournament a year ago.
  131. [15:56:48] Ionna Ashting: Or maybe it was two... I don't remember. I'm old.
  132. [15:56:48] Savant Malpercius: <he grins> Sweet.
  133. [16:00:12] Oh this was it! A grin appeared on Savant's handsome pale face as the man bounced back and forth on the rocks underneath him. He was pumped, enjoying the sparring from Madeleine moments before and now getting ready yet again for a spar. Occultism would come and swirl around the man, making his attacks stronger.
  134.
  135. "This'll be fun."
  136.
  137. The occultism would come and once again thread itself into Occultism armor. The lavender haired man gripped his scythe, raising it a bit into the air while lowering his helmet over his face. Lavender hues peared out at the sparring partner. Man, how long had it been since they last sparred..
  138.
  139. How much stronger was he from then?
  140. (Savant Malpercius)
  141.
  142. [16:04:28] She was going to pull a muscle, she knew it, and the elder Ashting almost expected it. With a stare at Savant, she felt his occultic energies rising and the man growing stronger. Truth be told, the woman had not bothered to train in a number of years, her last fight was against the father of the two vindicators that stood by the statues of their lineage. Raising her head ever so slightly, Ionna wondered if she could summon the strength of her energies without straining her aging body.
  143.
  144. Despite her appearance, everything was simply dragging on, at least in her opinion. With the two Sakete's bickering, she tuned them out and would tune out any and all audiences. Why did people always have to be spectating when she fought? It was slightly unnerving. Frowning slightly, she pulled Godslayer off of her back and then looked back towards the Malpercius and then gave the man a stiff nod.
  145.
  146. "From a boy to a man Savant, you're definitely strong." She simply stated before the winds swirled around her effortlessly and flames erupted from her body, rocketing into the sky. WIth energy and power surging through her, the brighteness of her rieka lines and eyes could probably light up a dark room taking their neon emerald green.
  147.
  148. An oscuri that was about to engage in battle; how stereotypical and despite her again, Ionna loved it, "It's difficult to be in battle when it is not fun."
  149. (Ionna Ashting)
  150.
  151. [16:06:11] {combat} Ionna Ashting has been defeated! They're unable to continue fighting.
  152.
  153.
  154. [16:10:27] This was it! Godslayer would crash against the Malpercian' and Savant would smile warmly, meeting the weapon's embrace. The clash between the sword and the scythe was truely fierce, espciallly when two fire mages were at the helm. Ionna caused for flames and wind to shoot off into the sky, while Savant kept his more grounded.
  155.
  156. The ground was surely blackened now. Savant would give a bit of a chuckle at this, knowing such a thing would happen no matter what. But the fact that at the end of everything the Malpercian came out on top.. Was actually suprizing to him. A triumphant grin would appear on the seethorugh occultic mask.
  157.
  158. ".. Wait I actually managed to.. Wow.. Incredible!"
  159.
  160. The man said, gripping his weapon tightly before preparing for another spar. A tight breath would come into his lungs, the man quite exicted in this rush of bloodlust, before he would ready his lavender gaze once again at Ionna.
  161.
  162. "Second round!"
  163. (Savant Malpercius)
  164.
  165. [16:14:43] This was no surprise, at least to the aged Champion as she would throw Godslayer at Savant and casual miss, almost to the point where she was swinging aimlessly. Her frown was quite apparently after the damage she sustained, being pushed back over and over again by the young man.
  166.
  167. Her cloak and skin were singed from the blackened flames that errupted from the Malpercius and her body could feel the pain etching through her skin that broke the surface and brought blood to come forth. She could not truly defend herself from the magical onslaught that Savant delivered.
  168.
  169. At least not right at this moment. The tainted flames that were spread across her body and pained her to the point of near collapse seized Ionna from moving, a simple defeat in the round, something that definitely brought her no joy at all. She squinted at the ground as she stabbed the behemoth blade into the ground and Ifrit's claw slowly faded, at least for that moment.
  170.
  171. With Savant's mumbling, she could hear him and frowned slightly, but a grin returned as she rose her head slowly and Godslayer. Despite her injuries, she looked and felted determined. Slowly behind her back wings materialized with in the physical, though not completely formed, as it seemed she was saving it, possibly, "Second round indeed."
  172. (Ionna Ashting)
  173.
  174. [16:16:25] {combat} Ionna Ashting has been defeated! They're unable to continue fighting.
  175.
  176. [16:20:41] Fear. There was absolute fear that Savant wasn't going to win this round of the spar. True he was powerful, but for now it was the will of a single person lady Ashting. Savant truely doubted he would be capable of defeating her two times in a row, and so prepared to tap into the power that was also sealed away inside of him.
  177.
  178. Fortunately, the fear there unfounded. The Malpercian would come out on top, panting and barely being able to defeat lady Ashting, then clutching his scythe as he put it away. A blink would happen twice, before the sudden relevation of what this meant donned to him, a true grin appearing from Savant. That was one thing off his bucketlist.
  179.
  180. The occultic armor and aura would fade, as the Malpercian walked towards the downed oscuri. Just like when sparring against Madeleine, his right hand would be extended downwards, Savant offering to help her up.
  181.
  182. "Good spar lady Ashting. It was really fun."
  183. (Savant Malpercius)
  184. [16:24:57] Mumbling to herself, over and over as the battle was waged, this was almost a losing battle for the women, her eyes lost that flair it once had, but there was no excuse, she had lost. As the young Oscuri had said earlier, age is just a numbe.r
  185.
  186. Unfortunately, Ionna's had caught up to her to some capacity. Panting heavily throughout the battle, she had nearly lost Godslayer from her grip several times upon impact of the flaming magic scorching at her clothing, cloak and skin.
  187.
  188. She was helpless to the attacks Savant had been throwing at her. Her battle tactics were not nearly as polished, but he had taken advantage of her faults and he would win. The victory was the Malpercius' and it was his first, most likely many more victories that he would have.
  189.
  190. Ionna, formerly a sore loser probably would swatted his hand away if she was forty years younger, but with her advanced age, well, she did need a little assistance standing. Slowly rising to her feet with the hands of the violet haired man, the Oscuri woman looked at him and simply patted him on his shoulder, "See? What did I tell you."
  191.
  192. Her mind had almost instantly wandered elsewhere, 'Maybe it's time I handed this sword off to some other Oscuri, that's worthy.' She thought to herself.
  193. (Ionna Ashting)
  194. [16:26:40] Savant Malpercius: <he grins> Thanks Ionna. And you're still pretty strong.
  195. [16:27:31] Ionna Ashting: Mhm.
