  1. >Twilight is trying out a new spell one day
  2. >Invites her friends over to show them the spell
  3. >She explains that its a shape shifting spell which will revolutionize transmutation as ponies know it
  4. >Everybody pretty much stares blankly at her explanation but they are excited none the less
  5. >Twilight closes her eyes and unleashes a torrent of magical energy
  6. >As she opens her eyes, she is confused
  7. >Her friends have all shrunk about two feet in height. They are about the size of fillies now and covered in fluff from head to hoof.
  8. >She begins to ask how they feel, only to be responded to a chorus of "Fwiend!"
  9. >Her friends jump on her and begin hugging her
  10. >Twilight is confused
  11. >Twilight uses a levitation spell to quickly rectify the situation and get her friends off
  12. >She begins to query what’s wrong with them
  13. >They all look at her blankly as if they can’t comprehend basic speech
  14. >”Pway time!” Fluffy Rainbow Dash breaks the silence as she begins to run around
  15. >Almost instinctively Fluffy Pinkie Pie, Applejack, and Rarity rush off after her.
  16. >Fluffy Fluttershy stays behind, too scared to move too far away from Twilight.
  17. >She snuggles up to Twilight’s leg as Twilight begins to sigh and question how to resolve this problem
  18. >Twilight resolves to start by gathering up her now diminutive friends
  19. >Luckily Fluttershy is still curled up next to her leg
  20. >She grabs her saddle bag and empties it, telekinetically floating Fluttershy into the bag
  21. >Fluttershy is resistant at first
  22. >“No weave fwuttershy!”
  23. >As soon as she puts the bag over her back, Fluttershy feels Twilight’s breathing again and she calms down
  24. >Twilight notices that despite their bizarre new forms, her friends still retain some basic behavior patterns, like Fluttershy’s timidness
  25. >She hopes she can use that to round up the rest of her friends
  26. >Twilight charges off with her fluffy friend in tow
  27. >She hears giggling coming from upstairs and resides to search there first
  28. >The giggling gets louder as she approaches her bedroom
  29. >”Is anypony there?”
  30. >She receives her answer when a little pink puffball explodes from under her bed.
  31. >”Surprise!”
  32. >Twilight is startled but she regains her composure in enough time to telekinetically grab the little fluffy Pinkie Pie
  33. >“Party, Party, Party, Party…” She kept repeating as she floated over to Twilight
  34. >Twilight wonders how Pinkie Pie could have somehow became more spastic
  35. >Her telekinetic grip begins to fail as the poofy pink puff wiggles around
  36. >Just as she thinks she’s got a grip she is distracted by a squeal from her bathroom
  37. >Fluffy Pinkie uses the split second to wriggle out and jet off
  38. >Exacerbated, Twilight decides to try and catch her later and checks on the squeal
  39. >Twilight finds a fluffy Rarity playing with her towels on top of her sink
  40. >She’s wrapped them around her body and posing like it’s a dress
  41. >She’s so enraptured in her modeling in the mirror, she doesn’t notice Twilight sneak up behind her and grab her by the fluff of her neck
  42. >Fluffy Rarity fidgets around
  43. >"Wanna pway more!" She cries making puppy dog eyes
  44. >Twilight struggles through and jams her in bag pocket with Fluttershy
  45. >Rarity keeps crying that she still needs to model more
  46. >Fluttershy cautiously moves in to hug the little white fluffy pony
  47. >Rarity instinctively hugs back in a strange symbiotic relationship. Were Twilight not desperately trying to capture her friends she would definitely be taking notes
  48. >Twilight's kitchen is the next source of clatter
  49. >As she enters she finds the fridge opened, and all manner of foodstuffs tossed about
  50. >On the floor in front of the fridge is a fluffy Applejack, trying her best to chew on what to her appears to be a comically oversized apple
  51. >Her whole body is wrapped around the fruit trying to gnaw on it
  52. >'It seems their teeth are underdeveloped and similar to a filly in that- '
  53. >Twilight stops the thought pattern of her analytical brain and focuses on capturing the pint-sized pony
  54. >Once she gets in reaching distance of Applejack, the fluffy Earth Pony scampers away
  55. >Twilight breaks into a full gallop in order to catch Applejack, who has somehow retained her speed despite her new fluffy body
  56. >"Can catch Apajack!" she cries back at Twilight mockingly
  57. >As Twilight begins to tire, she looks around to see the apple on the ground
  58. >Lifting up the apple with her magic, she devises a plan
  59. >"Oh AJ!" She cries to her friend still running around like a manic child
  60. >She telekinetically lifts the apple a few feet away from her friend
  61. >Fluffy Applejack is mesmerized by the fruit
  62. >"Come get the fruit girl!" She says, trying to egg her on like she would a dog
  63. >"Apa Tiem! Apa Tiem!" Applejack rushes over to get the food stuff slowly moving towards Twilight
  64. >As she approaches, Twilight drops the apple into her bag
  65. >She leans down just low enough for Applejack to jump into the bag after the apple
  66. >The orange pony gets stuck as her legs still wiggle outside the bag.
  67. >"Can't weach! Cant weach!" She cries, as Twilight noses the little pony into her bag
  68. >Applejack continues to try and munch on her apple
  69. >Rarity and Fluttershy are now blissfully unaware of any problems in the past, and are now hugging and babbling together
  70. >3 down, 2 to go
  71. >Twilight suddenly hears a squishing sound and looks over to see fluffy Pinkie Pie playing around in the pie on her counter
  72. >”Squishy Fun!” she squeals as she splashes pie goo and crust everywhere
  73. >As Twilight moves in to grab her, she hears a sound coming from her upstairs window
  74. >”Oh no. Rainbow Dash!”
  75. >She storms off in such a panic, she completely forgets to grab the fluffy Pinkie Pie, still covered in baked goods
  76. >Upstairs, Rainbow Dash managed to get Twilight’s window open and get onto the windowsill.
  77. >”Rainbow Dash, NO!” It didn’t take a genius to know what was gonna come next
  78. >”I fwy!” The fluffy pegasus cried and she jumped out the window.
  79. >Twilight rushes to the window, fearing the worst
  80. >She looks down to see the little fluffy Rainbow Dash gliding down to the ground
  81. >’I guess even if she can’t fly, she can still glide.”
  82. >Twilight uses her telekinesis to glide the little fluffy Rainbow Dash back up to the windowsill
  83. >Once safely back in her hooves Rainbow Dash begins to squirm
  84. >“Wanna fwy again! Wanna fwy now!” she cries, still as forceful as ever despite her fluffy body
  85. > “Maybe later, why don’t we just relax in the bag right now?” She said placing the fluffy pegasis in her bag with Applejack
  86. >Fluffy Rainbow Dash continued to pout and reach her hooves up trying to get Twilight to pick her up again.
  87. >Rainbow Dash keeps fidgeting, making it harder to keep searching for Pinkie Pie
  88. >Applejack, who has finished her apple, notices the Pegasus and crawls over to her
  89. >She pushes her mouth close to Rainbow Dash’s belly and begins to blow raspberries into it
  90. >Rainbow Dash squeals with delight as she wiggles playfully
  91. >Twilight appreciates the calmer fluffy pony as she searches for her last friend
  92. >After a lengthy search filled with her fluffy friends screaming ‘pway’, Twilight finally finds Pinkie Pie standing outside of her front door
  93. >Somehow she’s no longer covered in pie goo, but jumping about playfully
  94. >She notices Twilight as she approaches
  95. >“Pway now?” Pinkie Pie asks
  96. >Twilight simply grabs the fluffy pony and sets her down on her back
  97. >“Okay, at least that’s over.”
  98. >“Twilight!” Twilight recognizes the voice as Spike
  99. >“Oh Spike thank Celestia you’re here.” Twilight was glad she had a set of hooves, er hands to help her wrangle the little fluff-balls while she figured out how to fix this problem
  100. >“What’s up with all the fluffy ponies?”
  101. >“It’s a long story Spike, just help me look after them while I research a counterspell.”
  102. >“How am I supposed to find them all?” He asked incredulously
  103. >“Don’t worry, it took some time but I managed to track everypony down. I got them right here.” As she signaled to her backpack full of fluffy ponies
  104. >“Well that’s a good start but what about the others?”
  105. >“Others?” Twilight’s blood ran cold as Spike pointed to the town.
  106. >On every street, every block, every corner, fluffy ponies ran up and down.
  107. >The town was filled with a cacophony of ‘pway’, ‘ball’, ‘fluffy wanna fwy!’, ‘wanna go swimming!’, ‘when foodie tiem?’, ‘no smell pretty.’, etc…
  108. >“Spike.”
  109. >“Yeah Twilight?”
  110. >“We’re gonna need more bags.”
  111.
  112. Epilogue: Bad End
  113. >Twilight tries to catch and contain all the fluffy ponies in ponyville, but most of them end up drowning themselves or dying off in other illogical ways
  114. >Spike manages to keep some of them wrangled in the basement while Twilight researches a counter-spell
  115. >It ends up being too much for her, and soon enough she sends word to the princess for help
  116. >Turns out the spell had a wider reach that she imagined
  117. >All she receives back is her own scroll covered in crayon drawings with the words “I wuv you!”
  118. >She was alone
  119. >Inevitably she lets the fluffy ponies go, realizing there is no reversal to this spell
  120. >She keeps her friends with her, afraid of them getting out and getting hurt
  121. >The fluffy ponies outside live with little or no semblance of logic
  122. >Most seem to be eaten by predators or destroyed by nature, but every so often one will explode and create a new mass of fluffy ponies
  123. >Twilight theorizes this is how they breed and reproduce
  124. >Twilight spends her time trying to study the fluffy ponies, hoping she can find some solution
  125. >Spike tries to help her maintain her sanity, but he knows she’s losing it
  126. >She can’t cope with the guilt of what she has done
  127. >Every night Twilight cuddles with her fluffy friends as they all go to sleep in a big pile on her bed
  128. >Sometimes her friends ask why they can’t go outside and play with the others
  129. >“I can’t lose you” she says through her tears.
  130.
  131. Epilogue: Good End
  132. >Twilight tries to catch all the little buggers but can’t seem to do it
  133. >Finally she realizes the problem with her spell
  134. >After some careful calculations she uses the proper counter-spell sucking the transmutation magic back to her
  135. >The town wakes up, more or less good. Though a few ponies are hovering above open sources of water, no one is injured
  136. >Twilight’s friends get up and search for Twilight
  137. >Suddenly, her saddlebag starts to move on its own
  138. >Applejack lifts it up to find a little purple fluffy pony
  139. >“I study now?” she asks, looking up at her friends with an adorable grin.
  140. >Cue Rod Serling Narration: Twilight Sparkle. A wizard who tried to push the bounds of what modern magic could accomplish and ended up a victim of its cruel design. Truly a fate which one could on find… In the Twilight Zone.
  141. >Cue Twilight Zone Music
  142. >Shot pans up to stars
  143. Epilogue’s Epilogue: She turned back about a week later.
