[23:53] <@Rosetta> "Yo." Rosetta wades out of the crowd of students probably scuttling around for lunch on campus.
[23:53] <Shawyun_Sariri> He looks over and nods. "Hi. Uh."
[23:53] <Shawyun_Sariri> "So yeah. The...locket you found."
[23:54] <@Rosetta> "Yeahh...sorry 'bout that. Didn't realize it was so, you know, personal."
06[23:54] * @Rosetta pulls the locket out of her hoodie pocket and holds it out by its chain.
[23:54] <@Rosetta> (by the way is this *after* all those posts on our profile about CoD and etc?)
[23:54] <Shawyun_Sariri> (yeah)
[23:55] <Shawyun_Sariri> He slowly takes hold of it and holds it in his palm, looking down at it.  "Yeah...I know."
[23:55] <Shawyun_Sariri> "It's a long story alright?  It's embarassing but not as weird as you probably think it is."
[23:55] <@Rosetta> "You alright?" Rosetta tilts her head to the side like an owl. Though not as far as an owl goes.
[23:56] <Shawyun_Sariri> "Not really, no."
[23:57] <@Rosetta> "You need a hug." Rosetta steps forward and gives him one.
[23:58] <Shawyun_Sariri> He jumps a bit as you touch him but then calms down and accepts it. "Yeah. I get that a lot."
[23:59] <@Rosetta> "And uh, sorry about Shawyun. Thaaat one's sorta my fault. Sorta." Rosetta steps back.

[00:01] <Shawyun_Sariri> "Eh.  It's alright.  We talked a bit about it and he seems okay now."
[00:02] <Shawyun_Sariri> "We used to call him Shy Guy cause he's weirder than normal around people he doesn't know well." he shrugs.
06[00:02] * @Rosetta nods and puts her hands in her pocket again. "So uh, you wanna talk about it, or...?" She looks down at the locket, then back up with an owl tilt the other way.
[00:02] <@Rosetta> "Mhm."
[00:04] <Shawyun_Sariri> "I dunno it's weird Ben and Shawyun never even -saw- these things, and..."
[00:04] <Shawyun_Sariri> He pauses a bit. Roll me a Charm check and follow through with something.
06[00:05] * @Rosetta tries to nod understandingly and pats Thomas on the shoulder. "Might help to get it out, yeah?"

[00:07] <Shawyun_Sariri> He jumps again at your touch.  "It was weird to see you sorta guessed part of it on that wall."
[00:07] <@Rosetta> "Yeah?" Rosetta quickly withdraws her hand at seeing his discomfort with that repeated.
[00:10] <Shawyun_Sariri> He notices and winces a bit.  "I've had some shitty experiences with...well, you know, stuff."
[00:12] <@Rosetta> "I'm sorry. Why don't we find a place to sit down and chat though, if you wanna talk 'bout it at all?"
[00:15] <Shawyun_Sariri> He seems very torn on this, then relaxes a bit. "Alright.  Maybe a little..."
06[00:15] * @Rosetta nods and then natu hops in place, looking for a cafe or similar nearby.
[00:16] <Shawyun_Sariri> There's a few smaller cafes around campus, including the coffee lounge you were at earlier.
[00:17] <Shawyun_Sariri> Thomas follows, hands in pocket and looking around cautiously still.  Which is odd cause no one really seems to realize who he is far as you can tell.
[00:17] <@Rosetta> "Over here." Rosetta leads the way.
[00:19] <Shawyun_Sariri> He takes a seat with you and puts the locket on the table, staring down at it a bit.  He's quiet for a while.
[00:19] <Shawyun_Sariri> "I picked up photography in high school after someone tossed a camera my way just randomly one day.  Seemed they were getting rid of it."
06[00:20] * @Rosetta pulls a soda from her other hoodie pocket and lets out Dolore. "Ice it for me, yeah?" The Gastly lets out an icy wind over the can, and Rosetta recalls him, cracking open the soda and taking a sip as she listens.
[00:20] <Shawyun_Sariri> "Started working with the year book club and such, so I got to know a lot of folks."
[00:21] <@Rosetta> "Uh huh." Rosetta nods along.
[00:21] <Shawyun_Sariri> "What I didn't expect happening is couples started asking me to take photos for them."
[00:22] <Shawyun_Sariri> "And...well..."

06[00:22] * @Rosetta owl tilts, waiting for the continuation.
[00:23] <Shawyun_Sariri> "I dunno if I just had bad timing, fate was never on my side, or it was just me being stupid or delusional."
[00:24] <@Rosetta> "No luck in love, huh?"
[00:24] <Shawyun_Sariri> Nail on the head, he just sighs.  "I kept copies of them, fuck if I know why, but they helped motivate me when I got back home."
[00:25] <Shawyun_Sariri> "Now I dunno what to do with them.  Feel like I need them, sorta."
06[00:26] * @Rosetta is silent for a bit, sipping at her soda. She exhales and sets the can down, then leans forward a little, folding her hands on the table. "Maybe you just gotta let go."
[00:27] <@Rosetta> "Of...whatever it is, those feelings back then."
[00:28] <@Rosetta> "And don't take this the wrong way, but stop lookin' so mopey all the time. How you show yourself to the world is how you're gonna feel inside, you get it?"
[00:29] <Shawyun_Sariri> I'd ask you to roll Insight but you couldn't physically pass the check!

[00:30] <Shawyun_Sariri> He sighs again and tries to sit up some. "Yeah, I know."

[00:31] <@Rosetta> "Doesn't the guild have those singles mingles?"
[00:32] <Shawyun_Sariri> He laughs awkwardly.
[00:32] <Shawyun_Sariri> "Yeah. It. Uh...does."
[00:33] <@Rosetta> "Look, uh," Rosetta puts up her hands on the table and waves. "I'm just throwin' ideas out there. I'm really not so good with this stuff myself."
[00:34] <Shawyun_Sariri> "No no it's more uh."
[00:34] <Shawyun_Sariri> "Big Lil dragged me to some a while ago..."
[00:34] <Shawyun_Sariri> "...And...uh."

[00:34] <Shawyun_Sariri> "Yeah I think you know what sorta happened there from talking with her."
[00:35] <@Rosetta> "Well then, uh..." Rosetta picks up her soda again and takes a few gulps to stall for time to think.
[00:40] <@Rosetta> "Yeahh, I dunno what to say." Rosetta turns to toss the now-emptied soda can in the trash.
[00:41] <@Rosetta> "Second time in a week I've had to give advice 'bout this kinda thing and geez I'm just not really the person for it."
[00:45] <Shawyun_Sariri> He nods and looks down. "Yeah...it's alright."
[00:47] <@Rosetta> "Best of luck though."
[00:47] <Shawyun_Sariri> "Thanks for returning this one at least.  I was afraid you guys would rub it in my face or something."
[00:49] <Shawyun_Sariri> "I'll -try- to give the mingles another shot but holy shit she shows up to like all of them."
[00:50] <Shawyun_Sariri> "There's a crowd that shows up just to watch her act a fool."
[00:50] <@Rosetta> "No problem. You could uh...ask Shawyun to keep her distracted while you do your thing."
[00:51] <Shawyun_Sariri> "Uuuuugh." His face contorts at the thought of being stuck in the same building with them and booze for an evening.
[00:52] <@Rosetta> "Just a thought." Rosetta shrugs.
[00:53] <Shawyun_Sariri> "And just my luck Roland would pop in too and things would just get weird...but you're probably right. I dunno."
[00:54] <@Rosetta> "Well, your only other choice is get into the dating scene some other way, yeah?"
[00:55] <@Rosetta> "Not every relationship's gotta be a long-term and serious one, and just getting into the swing of things can help you forget. Or move on at least."
06[00:55] * @Rosetta pulls another soda out of her pocket, but on second thought slides it back in.
[00:55] <Shawyun_Sariri> "Uuuugh.  Alright.  There.  I'll start there," he nods.  "Thanks for listening.  I guess it feels easier with someone not connected to it all." He slowly stands. "And by the way..."
[00:55] <@Rosetta> "Yeah?" Rosetta hops up.
[00:56] <Shawyun_Sariri> "Based on all that shit involving your brother, I was curious and checked into some stuff."
[00:57] <Shawyun_Sariri> "He wasn't ever in the ROTC program.  He straight up dropped out like a week after that video in his dorm."
[00:57] <@Rosetta> "Huh..."
[00:58] <Shawyun_Sariri> "So...I dunno why he ended up back here...when...well..."
[00:58] <Shawyun_Sariri> He shuffles a bit.  "Sorry.  That's all I could find."
[00:59] <@Rosetta> "Every bit helps. Thanks a lot Thomas."
[00:59] <@Rosetta> "...I dunno what this means though."
[01:00] <Shawyun_Sariri> He nods and tucks the locket away in his coat.  "Cya around I guess.  Good luck with it all."

[01:02] <Shawyun_Sariri> He walks out as you guys split ways, makes it about fifty feet before a Alteria swoops down, grabs him by the shoulders and carries him off.
