- MY TAKE ON REGNETREIS' ECLIPSE CYCLE STRATEGY
- PREFACE
- Reg's strat is really convenient for new runners as it allows three turns to be repeated until DD dies with basically zero risk. For reference those strats are here; https://pastebin.com/nXE83pzC
- In timing these strats against the per-action strats I found that often the per-action strats would be faster or at worst equal speed (up to move RNG, of course). But even in this testing it was clear that Reg's strats were powerful, the only thing they were lacking was the killer instinct which the per-action strats have which try to end phases as quickly as possible.
- With only a small amount of tinkering it is indeed possible to work in the killer instinct into Reg's strats and shave off 4 turns (on average) which is honestly pretty huge and makes these strats _clearly_ the fastest while still being easy to execute.
- THE SETUP
- Unfortunately this requires a more precise djinn setup:
- Felix: Ground Petra Hail Cannon Lull [all set] Hail / Cannon can be replaced with suitable MeMa djinn
- Isaac: Mud Salt Shade Zephyr Haze [all set] Salt / Haze can be replaced with suitable VJ djinn
- Piers: Flash (set) 4J djinn (standby)
- Sheba: Granite Echo Steel Spritz Chill [all set] Echo / Steel can be replaced with Quartz or TLA V djinn
- Mia: Mold Forge Fever Scorch Char Kite Ma djinn for +Agi
- Person 1: 1V Djinn, 2Me Djinn, 3J Djinn [all standby] [This is Jenna in my images]
- Person 2: 4Me Djinn, 1J Djinn [all standby] [This is Ivan in my images]
- Person 3: 2V Djinn [standby] 1Me Djinn 2Ma djinn (doesn't matter) [This is Garet in my images]

- Other factors:
- Need Mia > Sheba always
- Need Mia > Isaac when Zephyr is standby
- Need Felix slower than Mia / Sheba
- THE STRATEGY
- The only important thing about Phase 1 is that we want to end on an Eclipse turn. To achieve this:
- - If DD uses Cure, Mia should use Hail Prism on a WW turn to counter
- - If DD defends Judgement, Mia should use an extra Hail Prism
- - If DD doesn't die on the expected Eclipse turn, then there is a backup
- - Mia should try to defend as much as possible, using Hail Prism / Wish Well as the fight demands
- PHASE 1
- Turn 1: Ground / Mud / Flash / Thor
- Turn 2: Petra / Judge / [Mia] / Granite
- Turn 3: Lull / Zephyr / [ ] / Spritz
- Turn 4: Ground / Shade / Kite-M / Eclipse
- Turn 5: Petra / Judge / Mold-[ ] / Granite
- Turn 6: Lull / Zephyr / [ ] / Spritz
- Turn 7: Ground / Shade / Kite-M / Eclipse
- END Backup turn: Person 3 / Ramses / Mold-Def / Def then continue
- PHASE 2
- Turn 1: Petra / Judge / Mold-[ ] / Granite
- Turn 2: Lull / Zephyr / [ ] / Spritz
- Turn 3: Ground / Shade / Kite-M / Eclipse
- Turn 4: Petra / Judge / Mold-[ ] / Granite
- Turn 5: Lull / Zephyr / [ ] / Spritz
- Turn 6: Ground / Shade / Kite-S / Eclipse NOTE: KITE ON SHEBA HERE
- Turn 7: Petra / Judge / Person1 / Eclipse-Granite NOTE: SB Venus on Person1 is essential for Judge
- END
- PHASE 3
- Turn 1: Lull / Zephyr / [Mia] / Spritz
- Turn 2: Ground / Shade / Kite-M / Eclipse
- Turn 3: Petra / Judge / Mold-[ ] / Granite
- Turn 4: Lull / Def / Kite-S / Spritz NOTE: Isaac Def, Kite Sheba

- FINAL THOUGHTS
