My name is Eduardo Vela, I am a student from Heidelberg, Germany, with a major in Biomedical Engineering. I write thanks to the communication of Dr. Xavier Vela, who is my brother and who you met 2 days ago in a dinner in Boston. Recently, I came to Germany with the aim to continue my studies, and currently I'm located in this city in the process of learning the german language in an academy.

I am planning to complete a Masters program in the Bioinformatics field. I have read some extractions about your publications like "An integrated platform for portable clinical data, collaboration, and interactive education" and "An Open Source Model for Open Access Journal Publication". They gave me some ideas for my future research. I found them valuables because I'm programmer and in the last year I have been extensively working with web-based frameworks. I see that your main focus of research is the creation of online integrated platforms for clinical use. My ideas for research are related so they will also take advantages of open source projects to gather collaboration.
